MY PRECIOUS

Chapter fifty-two

Jayde

"Should we?" Henry says, his hands stretched out.

We just arrived at the party and I'm starting to feel nervous.

Jayde, calm down, I tell myself as I was led in by Henry.

I attended the wedding party and it was fabulous. This won't be any different.

We walk into the spacious hall filled with lots of people just like the wedding day.

My heartbeat accelerates and I take in several deep breaths to stabilize myself.

Gosh, going to such a huge gathering is like a knife to my throat.

"Hey, why don't you come here," Henry says suddenly as he led me through a narrow path by the left.

We walk out into a passageway.

Henry turns to look at me, a huge smile on his face, "Will you stay here? I need to greet some people. I will come back for what you can take."
