6 Are You Kidding Me?

Qin Yang finally came back to his senses. Then, he turned his head and smiled, "Well, I've learned a bit from my master.

"Master?"

Li Siqi's eyes lit up and asked, "Do you still have a master? Is he a doctor?"

Qin Yang smiled and spoke in awe, "He is not a doctor but he is an expert in medicine."

"Then, are you just as good as him?"

Qin Yang shook his head. "I'm much worse than him; I've barely learned anything."

Speaking of his master, Qin Yang couldn't help recalling the thin and stubborn figure.

In Qin Yang's memories, the master is an expert in everything and anything; from medicine, martial arts to poetry and painting and not to mention Feng Shui and divination. His master is an omnipotent person. Qin Yang, who had been practicing under his master for years, always felt that there was nothing his master couldn't do; maybe except giving birth...

Zhang Bin noticed that Li Siqi was happily talking to Qin Yang and it annoyed him. Plus, Li Siqi was constantly ignoring him and only gave him a cold look. So, Zhang Bin couldn't take it anymore and snap.

Zhang Bin sneered at Qin Yang and said, "Medicine is a skill used to treat and save people. It's a matter of life and death so no one should pretend to know it when they don't. There are lots of quack doctors out there who have pretended to treat the sick ones in exchange for money. God knows how many tragedies they've caused..."

Qin Yang frowned and stared at Zhang Bin. However, he just kept quiet and ignored Zhang Bin.

Qun Yang knew that Zhang Bin was just purposely targeting him. Perhaps he finally realized that he had no chance with Li SiQi and decided to show his true self?

Zhang Bin indirectly insulted Qin Yang first and then used the same tone on Li Siqi, "Miss Li, if you are sick or injured, you have to go to a regular hospital for treatment. Do not believe those so-called famous doctors. That's just being irresponsible for yourself."

Li Siqi looked at Qin Yang, who was still calm, and then she looked at Zhang Bin as she politely replied, "You're right."

When Zhang Bin heard that Li Siqi agreed with his point of view, he glanced at Qin Yang proudly but since Qin Yang did not make any rebuttal, he couldn't continue his plan of further defaming Qin Yang.

"I have seen many such incidents happening in the past few years…"

Zhang Bin continued his long speech about scammers who pretended to be doctors and scammed people's money.

Qin Yang slightly turned sideways and ignored Zhang Bin. He was listening to the sound from inside the room while Li Siqi, on the other hand, felt helpless as she was getting her ears talked off by Zhang Bin. She could only respond with a polite and embarrassed smile as she listened to Zhang Bin's prattle.

After a while, the door opened and the female doctor appeared at the door with sweats on her forehead. She faced the two men and said to them, "The child isn't in the right position and so it can't come out smoothly. I need a man in here."

The female doctor glanced at Qin Yang and then turned to Zhang Bin. Qin Yang looked too young while Zhang Bin was an adult and it would be natural to think that he would be the more reliable one.

Zhang Bin's face suddenly changed and he quickly shook his head. "I can't. If a man touches a pregnant woman who's giving birth, he would be cursed for years..."

The female doctor frowned but just as she was about to say something, Qin Yang has already taken a step forward. "I'll come, I know a little bit of medicine."

When the female doctor heard him, her face relaxed. She gave a dissatisfied glance at Zhang Bin as she nodded. "Come in, boy. When it comes to situations like these, don't believe in that kind of nonsense."

Zhang Bin was embarrassed but he couldn't say anything. Therefore, he resented Qin Yang even more.

'Damn it! Are you kidding me?'

'Why must you embarrass me?'

Li Siqi glanced at Zhang Bin and didn't want to be alone with him. Then, she said softly, "I'll help too."

Zhang Bin was left all alone in the corridor and as he looked at the door that was closing, his eyes turned rather vicious. The look in his eyes changed as he was deep in thoughts.

Inside the room, Sister Lu's legs were stretched out. She was sweating and looked exhausted. When she saw Qin Yang, she was a little shy and embarrassed.

"Sister Lu, I know a little bit of medicine and I'm just here to help, don't worry."

Qin Yang comforted Sister Lu and then asked the doctor, "Doctor, the child is in the wrong position. I'll just have to massage it and adjust the fetal position, is that right?"

The female doctor was a little surprised. She hadn't had the chance to tell them what they should do but Qin Yang has already directly stated the treatment. It seems like he really did know a thing or two. 

The female doctor wiped off the sweat on her forehead and nodded. "Yes, I have massaged her for a while already. I've slightly changed the baby's position but I have no strength left. Just continue with the massage; the faster, the better. She cant' hold back any longer. Do you know how to massage?"

Qin Yang nodded and stretched out his hands. He gently stroked Sister Lu's belly for a few times in order to determine the position of the fetus. Then, he took a deep breath and transferred all his inner qi to his hands which made them strong and powerful. He firmly put his hands onto Sister Lu's belly and moved them slowly, softly, and gently. Every time he moved, the child would move to a better position as it obediently followed Qin Yang's hand.

The female doctor was watching Qin Yang from the side and after a few strokes, she exclaimed in surprise, "Hey, it turned around! Men are definitely much stronger!"

Qin Yang reconfirmed the position of the child and stopped massaging. With an encouraging smile, he said, "Sister Lu, the child is already in the right position. Just do your best!"

Sister Lu nodded gratefully and clenched her teeth. She worked hard and with the doctor's guidance, the child was smoothly born. The female doctor patted the child's butt and the child started to cry out loud.

Qin Yang looked at the baby and his face was full of surprise. Although he had studied medicine under his master for many years, this was still his first time delivering a baby. As he looked at the newborn child, he felt a special kind of happiness.

Li Siqi was also looking at the baby but as a woman, her feelings were a little different from Qin Yang's. Women had a natural maternal instinct and she was looking at the child with eyes full of love. Then, she turned and smiled at Qin Yang as she felt inexplicably closer to him.

"Oh no!"

The doctor suddenly exclaimed which caught all of their attention.

The doctor's expression changed as her hands were full of blood. She raised her head anxiously and said, "Her bleeding hasn't stopped. This is a postpartum hemorrhage..."

A hemorrhage!

All of their faces changed. Everyone was very familiar with words like bleeding and hemorrhage whether or not they have been through a delivery. All of them knew that it is a terrifying, life-threatening condition!

Li Siqi asked anxiously, "What shall we do?"

The doctor smiled bitterly. "If we were in a hospital, then we would be able to help her but since we're on a train and there's no advanced medical equipment..."

Li Siqi and the attendant who was holding the child suddenly showed a look of despair after hearing the doctor. Sister Lu who was lying on the bed looked disheartened. She bit her lip as she looked at her child who was in the arms of the attendant. There was no fear in her eyes but she was just unwilling to part with her newborn child.

"Let me try."

Qin Yang pulled the duffel bag from his bed, unzipped a pocket and took out a soft cloth bag. He placed it on the table and spread out a row of silver needles!

Qin Yang pulled out a long, silver needle, turned to Sister Lu and said in a firm voice, "Sister Lu, don't worry! I won't let anything happen to you!"
