11 Meaningless, Untill the End!

"Ah! It's you again," Bobby exclaimed. Then, he turned to Captain Jean and asked, "Sir, can I have a talk with you outside?"

"Sure." The two of them left the house.

"Lad, have you known each other before? Heeheehee, or maybe she is your ex, right?" Captain asked with a grin on his face.

"No, sir. We studied together at the Oraga'aon Institute of Space Science and Technology. She always followed me, and I tried to avoid her. And now, she's my bodyguard here," Bobby explained. "Sir, can you change her with someone else?"

"What! You're afraid of that girl. Lad, even though you're a bloody Defect, I always thought you were a gutsy one. Don't be such a pussy. Sorry, lad, it doesn't work like that here in the military. I can't change it. Okay, she will be briefing you on everything about your work from now on. I will take my leave now." Captain Jean said, quickly leaving the area.

Bobby entered the house again, and Diana was waiting for him.

"Diana!" Bobby called.

"Yes, Assistant Chief," she replied.

Bobby stared at her with indifference. "Hmph!" He sighed and continued, "Diana, please take me to my office."

"Follow me," she responded, leading him to a room at the center of the house. It was filled with advanced tools, and she began to brief him on them using her wristwatch AI.

After a few minutes, she finished showing him everything inside the house. "Thanks, Diana. You can leave now," Bobby said sincerely. Diana saluted and quickly left the room.

Bobby was alone, and he unzipped his backpack and took out a round ball. He clicked a tiny button on the frame of his glasses, and the ball activated, flying up and hovering beside him.

"Hello, Master Bobby. It's nice to see you again," the AI spoke in a female voice. "What can I do for you?"

"Lucia, activate the level 10 scanning protocol!" Bobby commanded.

"Your voice is matched. Now, activating the level 10 scanning protocol," the AI responded.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

"It's activated!" the AI announced.

"Alright, scan the room thoroughly," Bobby ordered.

The ball zipped around, taking readings of everything in sight.

After ten minutes, the AI returned to Bobby.

"Master Bobby, scanning is complete. I'll display the detailed information for you." It projected a 3D screen in the air, displaying the data it had collected.

After reviewing the information, Bobby began analyzing it in his head.

"Hmm, something's wrong. According to the data, certain areas of the room are missing from the original scan. Did Lucia make an error in her calculations?" He muttered, deep in thought.

"Lucia, how is your personal program status?" he asked.

"Everything's functioning properly, Master Bobby," the AI replied.

"That leaves me with one conclusion: there's a hidden compartment in this room. Lucia, activate God's Eyes Mode and scan the entire area."

"Initiating God's Eyes Mode," the AI replied in a female voice.

Beep! Beep! Beep!....

"God's Eyes Mode activated. Scanning room," the AI continued.

After five minutes, the AI spoke again in the female voice, "Master Bobby, I have completed scanning the room. I found a small compartment in the northeastern corner."

A file appeared in the air above the AI.

Bobby carefully reviewed the file before moving to the northeastern wall of the room.

"Ahh, I've found it," Bobby whispered to himself. He searched for a way to enter the secret compartment, then pulled out a golden key with an angel design and inserted it into the wall. As soon as the key touched the surface, it and Bobby were sucked inside.

Bobby found himself in a vast room. He glanced around and saw a towering statue of a naked female with wings on her back.

"Ahh!" he gasped. "The total area of this place is 17 times that of the original room. This space has been manipulated using spatial manipulation skills."

He approached the statue with caution.

Beep! Beep! Beep!

"Intruder alert! Intruder alert!" A female voice blared out of nowhere.

"Scanning the room now!"

Beep! Beep!...

A strange energy in the form of waves emanated from the giant statue of a female angel and spread throughout the room.

"Scanning complete! An intruder with a Class S-2 level of intelligence has been detected trespassing in the core room. Activating the Divine Punishment Protocol!" the voice announced.

The statue's eyes snapped open, and two green beams shot out and struck Bobby in the chest, obliterating his heart.

Bobby collapsed to the ground, weak and gasping for breath.

"Why am I always so unlucky? This is my first day in the military, and now I'm going to die," he thought to himself. Memories of Margaret White's smiling face flooded his mind. He raised his hands in the air and screamed internally, "Margaret, I'm sorry. I should have been braver and asked you out. I realize now how pointless and empty my life has been. But if I get another chance, I'll never hesitate to do the things I truly want to do. My life is so meaningless, even at the end!"

Blood gushed from his body, and he lost consciousness. But a fierce determination to survive began to stir in his heart and mind.

"What is this feeling? Ah, my dear brother, I've finally found you again. So, you're inside this boy. Heehee, this will be more interesting. I'll help him and see what you're really up to," a sweet female voice spoke.

A white orb emerged from the heart of the statue and entered Bobby's hollow chest.
