165 Resemblance of a pack (1)

Author's note: this is from Sergio's point of view

I opened my eyes to see that it was close to noon. I fell asleep (and woke up) while hugging the pillow Calista used. I buried my face into it, and I took a deep breath, filling my lungs with the scent of Moonflower that lingered there.

I chided myself for acting like a desperate creep, but there was nothing I could do.  My soul cried for my other half, and I was in danger of becoming a sappy mess.

I decided to get busy. Staying busy helps pass time that slows to a crawl in Calista's absence.

I forced my limbs to move, determined to shower and wash Calista's scent off my body. I didn't want to risk sensing it and getting depressed in front of others. Until she accepts me as her mate, I won't announce it.
