19 Level 1 Dungeon

As soon as he entered the sphere, the first thing that greeted Rainn was a foul-smelling wind wave. He immediately tried to adjust his eyes to everything in this place and realized that entering this place was not a very good decision.

If only Rainn could endure his reckless nature, he would still be in the ordinary world now. Not in a bad place like this.

Rainn stared with wide eyes at the scenery in front of him. It was a dark valley with so many skulls scattered randomly. Some torches are also scattered randomly. Lit with a faint glow of the fire that swayed erratically in the cold wind. Every gust of this cold wind blew away the stench of death.

The trees in this valley are also dead. Leaving branches and twigs lined up like ghosts in the darkness.

Rainn didn't understand this. He was sure that he had entered this place while it was still light. But once he got here everything was as dark as the middle of the night. And really cold.

'This is the World Dungeon.' Tut's voice rang inside his head.

"So this is a different world?" Ask Rain.

'Yes. Here, you can challenge the wave of monsters by level. You can advance to the next level after completing the wave and boss monster in the previous level.'

Rain nodded in understanding. He started walking. His feet stomped on the damp ground. Suddenly in front of him, Rainn saw a plain black door with a red frame.

'If you enter that door, you will enter a level 1 Dungeon,' Tut said.

Rainn immediately put on the Lesser Mana Ring. And activate Ultimate Instinct.

Then Rainn pushed open the door with both hands and ran inside. What he found inside was a tunnel made of black bricks that seems darker the deeper he moved. Dimly illuminated by the lit torches.

Suddenly Rainn heard a rumbling sound from in front of him. He immediately put on a wary attitude and was ready to fight. With Ultimate Instinct, Rainn could see what exactly was approaching from in front of him.

It was a pack of big dogs. Their fangs are messy and long. There were about ten of them in number and all of them headed towards Rainn like he was prey.

Rainn gritted his teeth. So it all started right away. He also activated Pyrokinesis and shot fire at the pack of dogs.

A burst of fire instantly devoured the big dogs. However, not all of them died immediately after being devoured by the fire. Some of them jumped at Rainn with their claws and mouths open.

Rainn should save his MP. Therefore he pointed one finger from each hand and aimed at the heads of the dogs. Rainn fired a firebolt from his fingertips. But only hit one of the three attacking dogs.

The remaining two landed on Rainn's right and left sides. It opened its mouth wide and jumped up trying to pounce on Rainn's head.

[ Skill activated: Thunder Step (Lv.4) ]

A burst of lightning shot out from where Rainn was standing and spread a powerful electric wave all-around hitting the two big dogs that attacked him earlier.

Rainn appeared ten meters in front of where he had been standing. His appearance was also accompanied by a clap of thunder and a huge sound.

As he looked back, Rainn was astonished to realize that the two dogs that had attacked him had been burned by the electric shock. Their bodies puffed up smoke and lay stiffly on the ground.

"Wow," Rainn looked around his body which was still covered in a bit of electric shock. "So this is what level four Thunder Step power looks like."

'Do not be too happy, yet. This Level 1 Dungeon still has a long way to go.' said Tut, reminding Rainn.

"Yeah, I know."

Rainn took another step into the deeper Dungeon. So far the scenery of this Dungeon was the same as before. It's just a dim alley with dog monsters that come attacking him.

Rainn was able to overcome several of the attacking waves with ease. Then the hallway turned into a bigger room. There was another door at the end. The room was empty but Rainn could hear rustling sounds like fast-moving feet.

"Oh shit." Rainn seemed to know what was waiting to appear. The rustling sound was probably the sound of insect feet. He had heard the same voice in Jorogumo he had faced before.

Rainn looked at his Stats Window to determine how much MP he had left. He was worried because he had used many skills earlier. If only his physical abilities were already high, he definitely wouldn't have to bother draining his MP to this point.

[ MP: 7 (+20) ]

With the effect of the Lesser Mana Ring, Rainn's MP was now only 27 points. It should still be enough.

Rainn made one more preparation before the creature appeared from behind the door. Rainn used the remaining skill points to increase the level of the Shield skill.

With this, he should be able to withstand quite heavy attacks with less MP consumption.

The door ahead burst open. A six-legged creature five meters tall came out and greeted Rainn with its claws wide open. Its long, sharp tail waved over its body.

"It's a scorpion!" Rainn stared at the huge scorpion-like creature in front of him. It turned out to be worse than what he had imagined.

The giant scorpion lunged at him with the terrifying six insect foot movement. A pair of claws pointed at Rainn's body. But with Ultimate Instinct, Rainn managed to dodge before his body was torn apart.

Rainn ran to the other corner of the room.

Rainn threw a fireball at the giant scorpion. But the fireball just hit the shell without leaving any traces.

Rainn kept running to avoid his claws, but again his physical ability slowed his movement.

He also continued to shoot fire at the giant scorpion. However, none of Rainn's fire attacks managed to penetrate the monster's shell.

"Shit!" Rain spat. His MP is getting low. What if he dies here? He should have considered things a little harder before getting into this monster-infested realm.

But it's too late to regret now. Rainn could only use his remaining abilities to survive. Rainn suddenly stopped. He gritted his teeth and waited for the giant scorpion. Once it was close, Rainn used Thunder Step.

The sound of thunder booms sounded along with waves of lightning that spread towards the giant scorpion's body.

"KIIIIIKKKKHHH!"

The giant scorpion let out a deafening scream. Rainn who had appeared ten meters in front of his place had realized something. The lightning strike was able to pierce through its shell which was originally impenetrable by fire.

It's good that he hasn't used all of his skill points. Rainn immediately chose a skill with a lightning attribute that could injure the monster.
