Kent and his family

Iron Fist just sat there for a long time. He was looking at Shin who was slowly going away. After a few minutes, two people arrived next to him.

These two were Hina and Village Chief. Hina was holding a box. She walked next to him and sat down. He opened the box and took out some bandages.

Seeing this, Iron Fist suddenly realized something. He lowered his head and said.

"I'm sorry for what my son did to you. Although he is dead, I don't want anyone to resent him."

Hearing his words, Hina slowly let out a smile and shook her head.

"I never resented him. When I was small, my father told me something. He told me that whenever a human gets power, he gets intoxicated by it. Some people have enough Willpower to control it while some do not."

"Those who do not have the Willpower will end up becoming a slave to their own power. Besides, he never harmed me. He just asked me to make a difficult choice."

Her words brought a new light to Iron Fist's eyes. Those eyes which had previously lost their lights slowly shone once again.

Hina took off his t-shirt and started bandaging his hand. After finishing that, she slowly stood up and said.

"If you don't mind, please come to my bar. I will cook you some food to recover."

"Thank you!" Iron Fist slowly bowed his head.

Hina and Village Chief left while he just sat there, looking in the direction of the sun and muttering.

"So, what am I going to do now, Cherry? I lost you. I lost my son. I couldn't even get to avenge him. Should I come there to meet you?"

At this moment, he had the urge to kill himself. After losing everyone he loved the most, he no longer had the Will to live.

'Dad, are you going to teach me Moulding Iron Fist Art?'

'Dad, take me to the Sacred Ground? I want to go there.'

'Dad, Mom said that he wants to see you. Why don't you go meet her often?'

Suddenly, his head was filled with the voices of kids. At this moment, his expression froze. Once again, that light was gone and he looked lost.

Slowly, tears ran down his eyes as he choked.

"Sorry, Cheery! I can't go there to meet you. I forgot I still have a family."

At this moment, the hole in his heart that was formed after losing his wife and son slowly started to fill up.

"I'm sorry, Cherry. I'm sorry, son. I truly am a scum. But, I don't want to abandon the new family that I have."

Slowly, he stood up and wiped away his tears. After wiping out his tears, his eyes looked red. He stared at the sun and said.

"I never realized that I will get a new family after losing everything. This time I won't lose anyone. Xiaver Family, Kent and my family will no longer be your servant."

"Alina, Josh, Ben, Claire, I will never let you become the weapon for that family. Because you have been trained by the family for years, I believe you are slowly forgetting the family."

"But, this time, I am not going to be a coward. I am not going to abandon my family. I won't make a decision that I will regret for the rest of my life anymore."

After he made a decision, he finally walked toward the village. Soon, he rejoined Shin and others. They had a feast together.

After a long time,

"So, have you decided how you are going to live your life from now on?" Shin stood in front of Kent and asked.

Kent no longer had that confused look on his face. He brightly smiled and said.

"I lost myself when my wife died. Even though I was married to another woman and had three children, I never considered them my family. I always thought I only had one child."

"But, after losing my son and losing a chance to avenge him, I realized something. I still have a family. I still have a life. This time, I am not going to abandon it. I don't want to regret anything in the future."

Hearing his words, Shin also smiled and said.

"Then, let's meet once again in the future."

"Hahaha! Shin, next time we meet, my son will be fighting you. They won't be as weak as I was." Kent bursts into laughter as he said.

"Don't worry, I won't be weak as I am in the future." Shin smiled and answered.

"Then, let's meet in the future!" Kent turned around and waved his hand as he left the village.

After he left, Village Chief and Hina came out of the bar and stood next to him.

"I never imagined Iron Fist's father can be such a great guy." Village Chief looked at the back of Kent with admiration. It isn't easy to forgive the person who killed your son especially when you love your son very much.

"That's because he understands the truth. There is only one chance, only one moment for everything. He had only one chance to avenge his son and he gave it his all."

"But, he lost." Shin answered with a solemn expression. Iron Fist wouldn't have hesitated to kill him if he had won that battle. Because he truly wanted to avenge his son.

"He found a new family after all. He had his own reason for not trying to kill Shin after losing once. Because his family still needs him." Hina spoke with a solemn expression.

Hearing her words, Shin simply smiled and shook his head. He returned to the bar and took some massive bags of rice and food.

"Are you going back? Why not stay here for the night and leave tomorrow?" Hina saw him packing his things and couldn't stop herself from asking him.

Although she didn't mean anything much, Village Chief and Shin stared at her with shock in their eyes. Seeing her sad expression, Shin couldn't stop himself from agreeing.

"Great!" Hina excitedly clenched her fists and walked toward the kitchen.

Village Chief and Shin looked at each other and suddenly they felt guilty. After all, what they thought was completely wrong. It was them who think of Hina wrongly.

On the other hand, Hina immediately ran behind the door of the kitchen and closed her eyes, while biting her lips. Her face was turning red with embarrassment.

At first, she didn't realize what she just said but when she did, she couldn't make any excuses. So, she decided to play naive. She didn't expect Shin to actually agree.

Now, she was flustering because she didn't know how to react.

She was a few years older than him. He had already decided to leave the village that means even if he returns back, she would turn old by that time.

This frustrates her even more. She started to feel bad. After a few minutes, she finally relaxed her mind and decided not to think about it.

She came out of her kitchen and saw Shin sitting on the chair and talking with Village Chief. Seeing this, she started cleaning the bar.

"Shin, once you leave, have you decided when you will come back?" Village Chief asked.

Hearing his question, Shin thought for a moment and shook his head.

"There are too many restrictions of being an Adventurer or Land Pirate. I don't know what the future holds for me. I might even die so I can't make any promises."

Bang!

Just when he said that the plate that Hina was holding fell on the ground and broke.

This instantly got Shin and Village Chief's attention. Shin saw a pale expression on her face and immediately got up.

"Hina, are you alright?"

Hearing his words, she didn't say anything. Her hands clenched as she asked while choking. At first, she was really brave but when she heard that word, her heart broke instantly.

"Shin…. Can you not go?"

Seeing her crying, Shin paused before he said anything. He didn't expect her to be this emotional and this made him panic. The reason was simple.

He didn't want to have any love connection with her. When he said that he might die, he wasn't lying. For this adventure, he had already decided to put his life on the line.

He doesn't fear death but he fears leaving his lover without even giving her a good life.

He took a deep breath and shook his head.

"Hina, I must leave. I won't change my mind about this. I must accomplish my dream. If you don't want to hurt me, please don't stop me from chasing my dream."

Hearing his words, Hina's expression turned paler. She bit her lips. Naturally, she didn't want to hurt him. But, at the same time, she also didn't want him to leave.

Fifteen days ago, he said that he will leave and she didn't think too much about it. She always believed that he will return. But, when she heard what happened to Kent, she hesitated a bit.

This hesitation came from deep down in her heart. But, it was still within her heart. She never tried to take it out until he said that he might die.

This broke all of her defense.

Finally, she closed her eyes and a picture came to her mind. She clenched her fists and asked.

"Then, can you take me with you?"
