The Succubus Series

Mia was a normal girl wanting love. After dying in a tragic accident, she awakes to find that she's turned into something sinister and begins to find her power. "Lamia, are you seeing this shit?" I internally asked as my eyes grew wide. "Give me control NOW" she yelled. As soon as I released for her to take control, the car was hit again, sliding forward at a speed that felt like we were still driving. Lamia lifted B's torso so he didn't scrape the road as we moved and dug my knees into the steering wheel. Once we stopped, Lamia planted us on the ground where the window used to be and jumped. She had to have jumped 10 foot easily. She landed, digging our knee into the road and leaving a small crater. Following the string from the second hit, whatever hit us was in the sky. Looking up Lamia thought "Well thats not good. It's got wings." Lamia took a quick scan of the surroundings and saw we were nowhere. The only light that showed were the headlights from the car on its side. "Listen Lamia", "I hear it" the slow beat of wings rang through the night sky when suddenly they stopped and we heard a whooshing sound. I could hear Lamia internally counting the seconds when she jumped unexpectedly towards the car hitting something mid-air before it could hit the vehicle again. "What was that?" I asked feeling the wings form around our body as we connected. "Silent. Concentrating." was all she said in return. The body lay silent 30 feet from us in the road. Lamia locked on to it and took a fighting stance facing it and again started her countdown. "I think its dead" I thought but she ignored me. When she hit 1, the cracking noise started. She ran towards it as it flipped an arm and planted it in the road. Before it even had a chance to really get up, she kicked at it with a force I had never seen before. The creature spread it wings and was gone before she could hit it. She planted her feet sliding across the road before we stopped. "Gressil I know it's you!" she yelled at the sky. After receiving no response, she yelled again "Don't make me kill you! You know I can!". The flapping came closer and we looked up to see a disgusting figure hovering over us looking over at us curiously. It looked like his face and skin was melting off. "Drop the act." she calmly stated.

Faces of Stone

Before beginning this training, me and B needed to feed. We again navigated the market until we came to another exit where the sheen was present. Mika'il decided to tag along to make sure we didn't cause any trouble or draw attention to ourselves. "Oh yea because a giant man with wings, won't draw attention" Lamia sarcastically rang out in our mind. "Make sure your marks and eyes are covered Mia, we are going to have to feed during the day." B said. Mika'il's face stern, mirroring his words. I rolled my eyes, staying quiet. Stepping through the sheen, sunlight pelted my eyes. I didn't realize how dark it was in Domtivir but considering it wasn't in the mortal realm, it didn't surprise me. After my eyes adjusted, I realized we were in the woods again. "Really dude", I said looking at B and throwing my arms out. Realizing Mika'il was nowhere in sight I continued, "Where'd the angel go?". B brought out a playful smile and brought out only his eyes giving a halfhearted chuckle. "Ohhhh", I said and mirrored him, bringing my eyes forth as well. Once they were out, you could see Mika'il casually lounging on a large rock a few feet away from us. He only waved and then motioned his hand as if saying "Let's go". Looking back at B, he had started walking away from me so I followed him. "So what's the plan way out here in the freaking wilderness?" I huffed. He replied as if bored. "Mia, you really have no idea where we are.". "No B I sure don't". He ignored me pointing forward. Following his finger, I looked up. Four faces sat in stone way above us. "Oh" was all I said. I followed B closely as we saw a wooden platform off to our left covered with people and strings. B tapped me on the shoulder and then tapped his temple, motioning for me to put back my eyes. We made our way to the platform, hopping over the railing, and began heading down from the mountain. "Why are we headed down?" I asked. B responded in a whisper. "Less people, less law enforcement." motioning his eyes ahead of us. Following his gaze, a blue string lead into the chest of a very broad shouldered man dressed casually. "How can you tell?" I whispered back. "The shoes." He shortly replied. Looking at the man's shoes, he had brown boots peeking out from under his pants. Lamia internally let out a groan and I chuckled to myself. I didn't think this man was anything like law enforcement. "He's right." Mika'il's voice rang out of air. My eyes grew wide and I stopped walking for a second. "Ignore me and keep walking." floated through the air. "Whoa." Lamia commented. "Yea." was all I responded turning and looking back over my shoulder to see if maybe he changed into a human form. "I'm not there Mia. We can influence humans, but we do not get forms like demons do. Face to face interaction is prohibited unless God commands it." Mika'il explained. I nodded, looked forward, and kept walking. B had gotten quiet as he was leading us down the wooden path. Mika'il continued as we got closer to the man, "You can separate his string Mia. Focus on it and separate the colors.". "Ahhhh he's teaching us Mia." Lamia rang out smooth as honey. I stared ahead trying to focus on the string. Getting closer to the man, the string started to unwind into different color sections. Blue was the main color but hues of purple, white, and teal separated in small strands. A smile broke my face and Mika'il questioned, "You see the purple, white, and teal yet?" I nodded inconspicuously and he continued. "Blue means that he's a good soul that hasn't veered widely from his path and the white seconds this. The purple means that he seeks justice and righteousness. The teal is telling us that he is at peace with most of the bad that has happened to him. They can range in what they mean when they are blended together and based on the blend, you can get a pretty good idea of who the person is. While he is law enforcement, your healers normally have yellow strings in their blend. You're lustful humans usually have pink in their blends and your very bad humans have red and black in their blends. Your humans tipping the edge, will be orange and the deeper the shade, the closer they are to turning red. Every human soul made begins with a white string. The color determinations are based off of their choices and freewill ". I wanted to question him so badly about the black. I thought only demons had those because of our first encounter. As if he read my mind, he continued, "The black you're probably curious about.". I nodded again. "So humans can become demons if they so choose. It starts with a very small string of black in their blend. It will almost always be present with red strings. I haven't met one red string without a black strand within the blend. This black strand signifies what your heavenly deem lowest of low." He explained further. I paused, saying "Speak of the devil." as a red string laid out before me. B lightly grabbed my wrist asking if I could point the person out. "Oh so now he wants to ethically eat souls" Lamia blurted out. I rolled my eyes B questioning "What?". I laughed lightly replying to him, "Lamia said you're being ethical.". He dropped his face being sarcastic and whispering in my ear, "Mia there's a freaking angel with us. He will all mighty smite me if I take an innocent.". I followed the string as he pulled away, it leading to a woman. Something nagging at my mind that she was familiar to me but I couldn't place her. "Well it's a woman B, so good luck." He looked around cluelessly when I looked back at the woman and it dawned on me who she was. I had seen her on the news. Her child was gone and she didn't report the disappearance for weeks. They searched high and low for that 3 year old once she finally did only to find her in a shallow grave. My face contorted to something sinister thinking about how her conviction was dismissed due to a technicality. I described her to B and as he went to leave I grabbed his elbows spitting out at him,"Hey B make it hurt. Bad". My eyes coming forward against my will. B grabbed my shoulders turning me to him saying, "Mia you have to put them up.". I pulled them back in but it was hard. Lamia was stewing as well seeing me play through the thoughts. I whispered angrily, "She's a baby killer B. Make it hurt.". B nodded and then began walking off in her direction. "Mia, you have to keep emotion out of it. Your anger will pull your demon abilities forward." Mika'il spoke again. I began walking, finally passing the man from earlier when another red string caught my eye. Hoards of people standing between me and seeing who owned it, it went way down the walkway. I began following it and after reaching the parking lot, I caught the man it belonged to. He was moving from car to car, quickly peeking in them. A tall, lanky man with dead eyes. He looked in a Grey civic and instead of breaking into it like I thought he'd do, he marked it with chalk. I turned my head sideways, guessing what he was doing. "Undo the string." I heard Mika'il say. Seeing the blend, it angered me. His red was a blend of black, red, and pink. I whispered, "Pink is lust or sex right?". Mika'il shortly replied, "Yes". My eyes came forward once again and my hip started warming. I thrusted Lamia forward and she left our marks hidden. "What are you doing?" I asked. "It's daylight Mia. They have to stay hidden" she replied internally. If I had control of our eyes, I'd be rolling them right now. I wanted this man to feel fear like his victims had. He went and got into a Blue truck at the back of the large parking lot sitting there watching the civic. Lamia walked towards the truck slowly so she wouldn't alert the man. We walked in front of it before she slid to the right quickly slinging the door open and getting in, the man looking at us with his eyes wide. "Can I help you?" he asked. "Oh yes, you can." Lamia replied to him with a smile and she reached up grabbing his face. "So how many women begged you to leave them alone?". His eyes went wide and he went pale. Something was happening but I wasn't sure. It felt like my head was buzzing and he was frozen in place. Lamia tightened her grip on his cheeks, bringing forth our first lone mark. It felt like a string had popped us in the four head when she did it. "Tell me you vile toad." she said teasingly. He swallowed and it looked like he was in pain as he started to speak, "42.".  "What did you do?" Lamia said, anger coating her. She took a quick scan of the parking lot and seeing there was no one close she squeezed tighter digging her nails into his cheeks. "I…I would break into their house and once I knew they were asleep I would r....." He was cut off by Lamia breaking his jaw. It hung there in a disgusting manner. He clung at his face with his eyes wide before Lamia locked onto his mouth making his eyes gloss over and his body go limp. The burning dots forming over our right eyebrow Lamia said, "Mia were good" so I took control. "He strike a cord with you" I questioned her. "Men like that should never exist." she said flatly and then became quiet. Hopping out of the truck, I saw B making his way over to us in a slow run. Hiking an eyebrow he said, "Let's go home and learn of your angely duties." finishing his comment off with finger guns. I chuckled and nodded as we began the long walk back.
