JQK
I lasted till chapter 5 then gave up. The plot is actually pretty good but the writing is just too bad. Let's forget about the usual mistake he/she/his/her, the ML's name even goes from Li Yan to Li Qun back and forth, without any explanation. Sometimes, it's Li Yan one line, then next sentence we are back to Li Qun and you are supposed to understand it's the same person. The bad translation makes it very difficult to actually understand what's going on. The way sentences are written doesn't always make sense and I often had to re-read the same sentence several times to understand. Does the translator even respect the readers? Is it so difficult to have someone else beta-read the novel to provide the readers with a good book? How can anyone expect readers to pay for something like this? I really don't know what Webnovel is doing --'

Now I wish I could give a great review but it's pedantic at best but at worst one could say this is gobbledygook? It unreadable due to poor translation and what can be read is... nothing to right home about. Which is a shame because like my teacher's kept telling my parents at meetings, it had such potential.

The plot itself is very intriguing and good. The FL was brought to a rich family after a fortune teller told them about something dangerous happening to their real daughter (fl non biological sister) she was treated very bad and was only used as a substitute. She begged to stay with the family, but once they didn’t need her they threw her to this island called the slums. It was a prison where people stayed whether they had committed crimes, mentally unstable, or no where else to go. They diagnosed her with “schizophrenia” and she stayed there for three years till the ML showed. She started to act dumb in front of him and he took her away back to china. The reason was because he had this very traumatic childhood where his parents and sister passed away, and the ML coincidently looked like his sister. I’m not quite sure what his intentions are, but when he’s around her he starts to have a double personality. Sometimes he thinks she’s his sister but for the most part his head is clear. The ML main goal is to escape from the FL, and get revenge on the family that did this to her. The only downside to this novel is the translation, they mix up pronouns and names.
