CHAPTER 2 "THIS WORLD'S LEGEND"

A few years had passed since the day that I was born and I'm about to turn 7 years old next week, though i payed no mind for my birthdays this one is special very very special.

A story that was told to me multiple times was about the legend of the 7th birthday and the story goes as follows:

Once upon a time when magic never existed there was a hero who was blessed by god and was tasked to stop the war between the five races, he used that power to stop the great war which lasted for over 75 years and god was delighted as the hero completed his task without harming any other races in the process and so he was given a reward and was asked by whatever he could've wanted but the hero asked for god to take his blessing and give it to everyone saying that "everyone can be a hero" and so all children who reach their 7th birthday receive the blessing of god.

It was a childish story but the blessing that you receive is definitely true, it is said that you will feel the mana flow in your body by the time you reach that certain age and you also receive a unique blessing apart from mana and im quite intrigued about what I would get.

Meanwhile I should talk about where I am, apparently I'm in a place called the Oakenwood forest in the northern west of the continent where most elves reside, though its called a forest it isn't as much of a forest at all as we live in the Kingdom of Windvale which is the capital city of the northern part of the continent, basically we live like how humans do in those novels and mangas that I've read and not like the stereotypical elves living in the deep forests that is normally portrayed in most books and stories.

I would really like to learn magic but since I cant use my mana yet I've been secretly training with the sword, there's nothing wrong with doing so but they say that elves dedicate themselves to the path they take which means that I should only train the sword if I intend to wield the sword. Ive also started learning how to read and write in this world as I would start attending school by the following years, yes I still have my memories and skills from my past life like cooking and playing games but I never really had the chance of showing it off and I also dont like getting attention from the things that I do, I've read countless of novels about the main character showing off only to find some enemies, showing off is a hard pass from me.

The fated day has come, it's my 7th birthday!

I woke up by the sound of my parents talking beside me and as I open my eyes I was greeted happy birthday with a smile on their faces I smiled back and said thank you as my mother gave me a kiss on the forehead.

It felt nice atleast, it isn't like my life before with no parents to guide me after dying when I was still young, leaving me in the care of my aunt, in this life im truly blessed.

My parents told me to get washed up and see them on the table for breakfast, I did what I was told and took a shower. I got dressed up and headed to the table where my mother and father were waiting for my arrival.

"here comes the birthday boy" My father spoke "he's all grown up already isn't he" my mother responded.

"come here and eat up before the food gets cold, you'll need a lot of energy before the visitors come and greet you" she added.

"you guys should really stop treating me like a child y'know" I responded while sitting in my chair and started cutting my steak.

"oh Rein our young boy is gone" "indeed my love our boy has flourished into a man" my father spoke jokingly as we laughed and talked during our meal.

A couple of hours pass by and visitors started coming to celebrate my birthday, I only ever wanted a simple birthday but what in the world is this?!

"I guess it can't be helped" I whispered to myself.

Knock knock*

"young master Lucius you have been summoned by madame Elaine"

Informed by a maid who knocked on the door

"coming!" I shout

I went to my mother as she would be my guide throughout the party. The party ended well with no problems but it did get me quite exhausted and so I asked to take my leave and headed to my room to sleep for the night
