39 Super Saiyan Kalan

Kalan had briefly explained the dragon ball's uses to Bardock before they teleported to Namek.

"Kalan are we returning now? I thought you wanted to see the Ancient Saiyans?" Bardock wondered if Kalan was going to summon the dragon as Gaimo had already collected the dragon balls for them.

"No before that I want to see if I can learn to transform into a Super Saiyan. I believe that the Ancient Saiyans are way more powerful than us. And you also need to learn martial arts, It'll be extremely beneficial for your future growth." Kalan said as he thought "I wonder how strong Bardock will become after learning martial arts... He was after all one of the strongest Saiyans from Planet Vegeta. Even though he's just a low class Saiyan, he's a genius. If only he could learn martial arts he would very likely reach a level similar to Goku!"

"Great! I'm looking forward to learning martial arts!" Hearing that he would learn martial arts, Bardock quickly agreed. He was very curious about martial arts since Kalan could be so strong even as a young child.

"Since Popo is over 1000 years... Maybe the Hyperbolic Time Chamber already exists?" Kalan thought as it was a great place to train, especially if you had a great partner to spar.

Kalan brought Bardock with him and teleported to Earth. As he expected the Lookout already existed, because he didn't want to bother the Earth's Guardian and explaining a bunch of things as he wouldn't stay long on Earth. At this time the Earth was undeveloped and very primitive, there were no good food not to mention a civilization. He simply teleported to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber's door and immediately entered before anyone noticed anything.

Kalan could enter the Hyperbolic Time Chamber twice in his life. And he had never been to it in this world so he and Bardock both had 2 chances.

"I won't get a chance to come back once I return to my time so I got to grab both chances!" Kalan thought.

2 Days later in the real world

Kalan and Bardock had trained in the Time Chamber for 2 years, naturally they had to first exit upon reaching 1 year and then re-entered.

Kalan took 3 months to learn Super Saiyan thanks the system and Bardock aiding him and of course due to his high battle power, he had a large amount of S-cells already which made it easier for him to achieve Super Saiyan. Kalan also helped Bardock learn martial arts, but it didn't go as well as Kalan had expected. Bardock was smart and learned very fast, but he was very impatient and short tempered. It was really difficult for him to meditate and temper his spirit which was needed for him to sense Ki. Bardock managed to sense Ki and Ki control, but his control was far from being able to smoothly control it, he could suppress his Ki to be lower his battle power, but he couldn't do it as well as Kalan and the rest of the Earthlings on the story who could easily hide their Ki so that the scouters could not even pick up their energy.

Bardock had learned everything he needed about martial arts, what was next was for him to practice on his own, and lots of meditations to hone his Ki control as well as learn patience. Bardock's originally 12,000 battle power skyrocket to over 300,000 during these 2 years of training. Coupled with his Super Saiyan transformation, he had a decent battle power. In fact he was already the 2nd strongest Saiyan of their time even without including his Super Saiyan transformation.

"The environment is very good here. Too bad we can only enter twice in our life or else we will be trapped forever. Otherwise I wouldn't mind living here" Bardock said with a regrettable tone as he praised the Time Chamber's gravity and harsh weather. As he liked the fact that the gravity was same as Planet Vegeta's, giving him a nostalgic feeling. And the harsh environment was a good tempering for their training.

"If it wasn't for you accompanying me I wouldn't be able to endure this harsh environment for even half a year." Kalan said as he felt speechless from Bardock's words.

"System show me my status." Kalan said in his mind.

Kalan's power level increased quite a lot as he didn't put much effort into increasing his battle power, but rather learning and mastering his Super Saiyan forms. He learned the 3 forms that were known in the story. Super Saiyan Full Power, Super Saiyan second grade and Super Saiyan third grade.

The 2nd grade was to forcefully increase the energy output, causing greater strains to the body, and enlarged the muscles to increase power. The same goes for the 3rd grade but the increased energy output is even larger and the muscles enlarged so much one's movement get slowed down by a lot. But the increase in power is much higher.

The Full Power was actually just the ordinary Super Saiyan form but simply mastered. Kalan had mastered his Super Saiyan state and could indefinitely stay in the ordinary Super Saiyan form. He mastered the Super Saiyan form easily as he didn't first learn to achieve Super Saiyan in pure rage, his emotions were naturally more calm and easier controlled.

What made Kalan happiest about was that his 2nd and 3rd grade forms gave great strength, and unlike Goku and them who had trouble moving in those forms due to their enlarged muscles. Kalan had some Legendary Super Saiyan bloodline. Because of that, his 2nd grade was as fast as his ordinary Super Saiyan form while his 3rd grade was a bit slower. Not only that, Kalan was pleasantly surprised that after mastering his Super Saiyan state his battle power multiplied more than an ordinary Super Saiyan, he had asked the system and learned it was due to his Legendary Super Saiyan bloodline.

Now his Super Saiyan 3rd grade was as strong as Super Saiyan 2. But of course, he was slower than them, but if he focused on defense, a Super Saiyan 2 with equal power to Kalan would be helpless and unable to break through his defense as unlike others. They would receive massive boost in strength but a big decrease in speed such that even if they tried to defend they couldn't move fast enough and in return will be simply a punching bag even for those with lower battle power. For others, the Super Saiyan 3rd grade was useless, but for Kalan it was almost as good as Super Saiyan 2.

Although Kalan barely put any time meditating to increase his Ki control, due to his Super Namekian bloodline, it naturally increase quite a bit. As the higher one's Ki control reached, the harder it was to improve. If it was before he received the Super Namekian bloodline, from the short amount of time he meditated, he wouldn't even have increase his Ki control by 1 unit. But it had actually increased by a whopping 40 units.

"Now there won't be any worries when we go meet the Ancient Saiyans! Hahaha!" Bardock laughed confidently. He could now transform into a Super Saiyan whenever he wanted, though he could still not control his emotions. He had also learned Super Saiyan 2nd grade which made him feel very confident in his strength. His Super Saiyan transformation gave him the ordinary 50x multiplier and the 2nd grade 65x. Of course with long time training it was possible to increase the multiplier. But obviously the Super Saiyan 2 with it's 100x multiplier would be faster than raising Super Saiyan's 50x multiplier to even 80x

"You do realize that even after you transform into Super Saiyan, you aren't my match when I don't even use my Super Saiyan transformation..." Kalan commented speechlessly.
