Ant Ambush

Looking in front of him, Sebastian saw hundreds of ants all over the place. His friends were laid everywhere on the ground while Lycaon was being held by his throat.

"You… You're the killer of Brother Neo!" A large ant shouted at Sebastian.

'What the hell happened while I was gone?!' Sebastian thought to himself, bewildered.

Expanding what little energy he had left, Sebastian noticed all three hundred ants were present. He then felt for the heartbeats of his friends and noticed they were still alive but barely.

'Neo… Even in death, you managed to get the upper hand on me…' Sebastian thought back to the specific ant in the past.

Soon, the large ant dropped Lycaon and proceeded to walk up to Sebastian until he was a few inches apart and stared him down. Sebastian didn't back either as he walked closer to the ant and stared him down.

"You're weak!" The ant said, kicking him in the ribcage.

Bang!

The sudden quick attack had taken him by surprise as he slammed into a tree and nearly cracked his entire set of armor. Before he could recover, the large ant appeared in front of him and grabbed him by the head before throwing him toward the army of ants.

The armor around Sebastian cracked and nearly broke on impact against a tree. Before he could recover, the large ant appeared in front of him and grabbed him by the head before tossing him toward the army ants.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

After being launched into the army of ants, they all took turns punching him until he was launched back toward the large ant.

Bang!

The large ant then slammed his fist down onto his helmet and nearly shattered it. Sebastian himself didn't even bother retaliating as his energy was at its all time low.

"How do a weakling like you kill Brother Neo?" The large ant said in disdain.

'Shout my name again…' A voice said to Sebastian.

'Bellerion? I thought you wouldn't allow me to use your power again.' Sebastian replied.

'This is an exception. You're the only I've been able to talk to and a future vessel for me to inherit…'

The large ant then grabbed him by his head and lifted him up to its head level as if it was inspecting and questioning his strength.

"Bel- Blurgh!" Sebastian coughed up a mouthful of blood onto the ant.

"Pathetic! No words will save you from your death." The ant said, thinking Sebastian was gonna say something to save his life.

The large then pulled its fist back as if it was charging up its attack and a burst of mana surrounded its fist.

"Die!" The ant shouted.

"Bellerion!" Sebastian shouted.

As soon as he said Bellerion, a burst of bright energy enveloped both Sebastian and the ant. Every ant watching this was taken by surprise and became defensive.

Soon the bright light disappeared and the large ant could be seen dead. As they stared at the ant, a large shadow could be seen through the dust clouds.

"He killed Brother Bruce!" An ant amongst the hundreds of ants shouted.

The dust settled and a dark suit of armor adorned with a crimson cape and two large wings could be seen standing. The immense power radiated from the armor and created an unprecedented situation for the ants.

"I give you guys permission to transform!" Sebastian shouted loudly.

Suddenly the others felt an invisible force take control of their bodies and start their transformation into a werewolf as if the werewolf genes in their bodies were responding to him.

"Awhooo!" They all howled.

A red hue shined brightly on their bodies as a surge of power empowered them greatly. The first ones to charge in were the vanguard werewolves.

Slightly taller than your normal werewolf. A bit more muscular and defined. Their gray fur brightened and their eyes more sharper.

The moment they clashed, their claws cut through the ant's exoskeleton and surprised them. Then a few large and muscular werewolves charged into the army of ants and flung the ants throughout the air. These were tank werewolves.

They were a lot taller than a vanguard werewolf and more muscular compared to them as their muscles were bugling. Their gray fur was on the darker side. The only problem of being a tank werewolf was the slowness that came along with the big muscles.

Bang!

With a single swing, five ants were sent flying through the air. No matter how much an ant tried to cut through their skin/hide, their claws couldn't penetrate it.

The next evolved werewolf to appear on the battlefield were the assassin werewolves. Their quick speed combined with their sharp claws made them a formidable opponent on the battlefield.

Before the ants could react, their throats were either slit open or bitten into by the assassins. Assassin werewolves were smaller compared to a vanguard one. They were muscular yet lean compared to a vanguard.

Sebastian watched this and was surprised. He didn't think they would be this powerful. The boost was greater than he expected and a grin appeared on his face. He then stared forward and located the strongest of the ants.

Past the hundreds of ants, ten ants were staring at him with great caution. They witnessed something happen that they didn't think was possible… the death of Bruce. Compared to Bruce, they weren't as strong as him but they made up for it in their mutations with other beasts.

"That human in armor is certainly gonna be a problem… Do we go ahead of the schedule and attack?" An ant asked.

"No. We wait for him to tire out and then we strike." Another ant replied.

The ants continued to talk about the unknown variable in their plans and made different plans on how to attack but they wouldn't come true at all.

Bang!

Right in front of their eyes, a hundred ants were wiped out. Standing at the end of the attack was Sebastian with a golden spear in hand.

'I must say Bellerion, your weapon with this armor makes me feel like a god.' Sebastian thought, staring at the golden spear in his hand.

As the ant laid their eyes on Sebastian, a shiver was sent down their spines as they stared him in the eyes. Though Sebastian couldn't see it, a slightly golden and evil flame lit up on the right side of his helmet. This flame was the reason why every ant was afraid of him as it sent an evil wave of invisible energy.

"My fellow brothers! We'll deal with this one so don't get in our way!" A muscular ant declared.

Stab!

In front of the muscular ant, Sebastian appeared and plunged his spear into the ant's body. The other ants saw this and were flabbergasted. Their enemy didn't make any noise when moving nor did they even see him move.

"You're far too weak to satisfy my urge for a good fight." Sebastian said in disdain.

Although Sebastian said this, deep down he knew they weren't weak at all. They were stronger than him by a large margin but Bellerion, his armor, provided him with a big boost in strength.

Unfortunately, he couldn't use Bellerion's armor to its full potential unless Bellerion gave him permission. There was another condition to use the armor but it required him to become part dragon.

He then swung his spear back and released a large attack by accident. Not far from him, a large straight ravine was created from it.

"What immense power! Not even we, the third generation, could do this!" One ant said.

"I've only seen the fourth and fifth generation ants do this before." Another ant said in disbelief.

The words 'fourth' and' fifth generation' intrigued Sebastian. If they were the third generation, then he couldn't imagine what the fourth and fifth generation were capable of.

"Brother Jin! Return to the colony at once and retrieve Brother Kyle!" One of the ants commanded.

An ant with wings appeared and nodded before flying away. It didn't take him long to find out that it was scout ant.

'I can't let him leave!' Sebastian thought.

Quickly turning to the ant named Jin, he lifted his spear up before rushing forward.

Swoosh!

As the spear flew through the air, it was closing in on the ant and just before impact, a random ant jumped and intercepted the spear at the cost of its life.

'You f*cker!'

Suddenly a strange blue fielded surrounded him and he immediately knew what it was... a suppression field. His rank dropped down and was now on par with the nine remaining ants.

"Of course there's an ant with this damn ability!" Sebastian shouted, angered.

Turning around, he already picked out what ant was responsible for the field as he glared at it. A vein appeared on his head as the ant had a smug expression on its face.

"Did you really think we wouldn't come prepared?" The smug ant asked.

Bang!

Drip!

The smug expression on the ant went away as he looked down at his body. An entire chunk of its body was missing and its intestines slowly started to fall out.

"My mighty power can be suppressed? Who decided that?" Sebastian asked with aggression.

"I alone will determine if my strength will be suppressed or not!"

Before the ant knew it, Sebastian was upon him with his fist repetitively bashing into him. The others saw this and another shiver went down their spines.

"Get off of him!" One of the ants shouted.

Clank!

Stab!

"You f*cking inferior beings!" Sebastian shouted at the top of his lungs.

Throwing a fist infused with world energy, a loud bang shook the battlefield. The seven remaining ants who saw this immediately went into action and lunged at him.

Before they could get closer, a black tail whipped them away and slightly cracked their endoskeletons. Sebastian then glared at the seven ants and the golden flames grew brighter as if it was responding to his rage.

"Flawless Style: Spear Hand Strike!"

In an instant, a wave of dark purple energy was released and bisected five ants. The other remaining ants were lucky enough to sense the incoming attack and dodged out of the way.

'Time is running out.' Bellerion spoke to Sebastian. 'If you wish to, I can trade the remaining time with a one-time use of one of my weapons from the past. It's up to you whether you want to use it against those nine weak ants or the army of ants attacking your comrades. '

Thinking about Bellerion's proposal, he didn't know exactly what weapon he would get but if it was something an ancient demonic dragon used in the past then it would be pretty powerful or at least he thought.

'I'd like to trade the remaining time I have left for the weapon.' Sebastian accepted his offer.

The big boost of power could be felt leaving his body. As it was leaving, Sebastian noticed that a quarter of his life force was taken with.

'What's the meaning of this?!'

'What did you expect? For my armor to appear without meeting the requirement means it needs a fuel source. My time talking with you is up now. Whether you die or not is up to you.' Bellerion's voice slowly faded out.

After the boost of power disappeared, a giant black blade appeared out of thin air and landed in front of Sebastian. The moment it touched the ground, the life around it was sucked away and soon started to spread.

"ROAR!!!!" A loud roar shook the entire realm.

"The King is enraged! I repeat! The King is enraged!" An ant announced.

Picking up the giant black blade, a memory from the past appeared in his head and showed him one of the moves.

'This weapon… It defies the laws placed in this world!' Sebastian thought, surprised and conflicted.

The weapon in his hand could wipe an entire kingdom at full power. Yet right now it was only at a fraction of its true strength.

The last ants realized he was lost in thought and knew they weren't gonna be presented with this opportunity again, and lunged forward.

'Fools!'

With a single swipe, a sinister black wave of energy left it and cut through the ants like butter. He then turned around and saw his friends still battling but losing. He also saw one of them missing an arm.

'Those bastards!'

Jumping to the sky, Sebastian held the weapon to the sky and a single pulsing wave was released, signifying that it was charged.

"Move!" Sebastian commanded his friends.

The strange energy from before entered their bodies and made them do as instructed. As they ran, they noticed they were regaining control of their bodies and looked back.

Falling to the ground, Sebastian slammed the weapon into the ground and ten large slashes expanded outwards in a twenty meter radius. With each slash, it razed the battle field and killed every ant it touched.
