Chapter 5 - Survival Training(2)

Kakashi kicked Naruto in the head intending to send him flying but Naruto leaned back and jumped a bit for his body to backflip and gain distance. Meanwhile, Sasuke saw Naruto's movement and approached to the side of Kakashi crouching to deliver a sweeping kick to Kakashi

Kakashi saw this at the corner of his eye so he backflipped away from the kick to dodge

As Kakashi was backflipping, Naruto was already standing up so he reached into his ninja bag and threw shurikens towards Kakashi. Kakashi dodged to the side.

Sasuke was on his way as he dodged to the side, Kakashi thought 'just what are these kids… hah…'

Sasuke who was rushing his way sent a flying kick causing Kakashi to dodge by jumping up.

While this exchange was ongoing, Sakura was watching the battle prepared to be able to hit a surprise attack. And decided that it was time now. Sakura threw a bunch of shurikens towards Kakashi.

Kakashi knew he couldn't dodge so he reached into his pockets and also threw a shuriken to each shuriken Sakura threw with precision. Clanging sounds sounded as the shurikens of Kakashi hit Sakura's shurikens

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Sakura thought in shock 'Impossible!' but recovered immediately and prepared to pull the trap he set on the ground when Kakashi dropped to the ground.

Kakashi's feet touch the ground and a rope suddenly appears to his surroundings.

Kakashi sighed watching this 'I can't even take it easy…' and used [Body Flicker Technique] to disappear from the traps location

Sakura who is watching "Tsk! He still dodged."

Suddenly she heard a voice who was right beside her as it was pretending to look at where she was looking at "He did indeed dodge."

Sakura slowly turned her head to face Kakashi and saw him with a scary smile.

Suddenly a flying kick was approaching Kakashi in the face "The first one who attacks wins! HAHAHA!" Naruto laughed as he felt his kick connect with Kakashi's body but then a smoke surrounded Kakashi's body and turned into a tree log, he then heard Kakashi say "What a shame. Too slow."

Naruto smiled and threw shurikens at Kakashi where Kakashi just dodged by letting himself fall down from the tree branch into the ground but he felt a presence from below and what awaited him was Sasuke with a tiger hand seal preparing to breathe out. [Fire Style: Great Fireball!]

"Fuuuuuuuu!" A scorching fireball released from Sasuke's mouth approached Kakashi with an incredible speed. This put Kakashi in a bit of a crisis and used [Water Style: Raging Waves!] and spat out an incredible amount of water from his mouth like a waterfall to try and put out Sasuke's fire style jutsu.

The two jutsu clashed and as they clashed the fire was put out and the water evaporated creating a great amount of smoke around the forest not being able to see anything.

Naruto who saw this, saw this as a disadvantage for the team so he hurried up and jumped from a tree branch and as he was approaching the ground he used [Wind Style: Great breakthrough!] "Haaaaaaaaa!"

Causing Naruto's jutsu to clash with the ground creating strong wind to flow in all directions taking the smoke created from the clash between Kakashi and Sasuke's jutsu.

Naruto saw Sasuke and approached him "You okay?"

Sakura also went towards them as there was no longer any smoke.

"Yeah… the smoke generated was just a bit hot as it went in my direction." Sasuke replied with his face a bit pale.

"Did we get him?" Sakura asked

Naruto shaked his head "Probably not…"

Sasuke smiled helplessly

Suddenly they were startled by a playful tone from their back "Yeah you didn't…"

They felt goosebumps all over their bodies and jumped away in a panic and hurry as they all rushed in different directions, Kakashi rushed towards Naruto as he felt that Naruto was the leader of the team and if he's put down. Sasuke won't work with anyone.

Sasuke and Sakura noticed that Kakashi was following Naruto so he erased his presence and tried to follow Kakashi.

Naruto who was being followed by Kakashi smiled helplessly and jumped from a tree branch and faced the direction of Kakashi [Wind Style: Great Breakthrough!]

Kakashi just dodged to another tree and said "You know that if it's not a surprise attack it won't work… you know right?"

Naruto smiled and said "I know."

"Why are you smiling?" Kakashi asked with cautiousness and heard from his back [Fire Style: Great Fireball!] "Fuuuuuuuu!" A scorching ball of fire approached him at an incredible speed and his eyes were engulfed with red so he thought quickly what to do and decided [Wind Style: Great Breakthrough!] to go in another direction to dodge the fire style jutsu that was thrown at him.

He breathed a sigh of relief as he thought he dodged but heard a sound that was all familiar to him. 'A kunai?' Kakashi looked at the direction he was hearing it from and saw that the explosive tag was already burning, his eyes widened as he was about to be engulfed by the explosion.

Kakashi smiled at this moment seeing their teamwork even though they originally went in different directions.

This kind of teamwork could work on someone much weaker and less cautious than him. If he wasn't cautious he wouldn't have had [Advanced Body Flicker Technique] Active as his feet touched the ground. He wouldn't have been able to dodge this if not being extra prepared for what might come his way in battle.

*BOOM!* The explosive tag exploded in front of Kakashi, smoke surrounded the explosion not knowing what happened to Kakashi.

Sasuke looked at the explosion with a smirk as he stood on a tree branch, while Sakura had a look that said 'Yay! We did it!'

Naruto just used [Body Flicker Technique] towards Sasuke and Sakura also approached and asked "We did it right?"

Sasuke just smiled while Naruto said "I don't know…"

Sasuke's smile was wiped off from his face as he heard Naruto, now he felt that something was wrong.

The smoke disappeared from the place of the explosion and Kakashi was not there.

Naruto then said "As expected. It won't be that easy."

Sakura and Sasuke nodded.

But they were then startled by a clapping sound from beside them "*clap**clap**clap* You three pass."

Sakura reacted "Eh? What??"

"You three passed." Kakashi repeated himself.

Naruto smiled because he knows why

Sasuke then asked in confusion "We couldn't even put a scratch on you, much more defeat you. Why'd we pass?"

"Well, you three exceeded my expectation and what do you think is the purpose of this training? Naruto knows but you two don't."

Sasuke looked at Naruto who was smiling which infuriated him as he still didn't know what Kakashi was talking about.

Naruto then chuckled and asked "Did you read the printout?"

Sasuke nodded whereas Naruto continued "What about the hint Kakashi-sensei gave? Do you remember?"

Sasuke nodded again and thought in confusion as to what Naruto was talking about and how it was connected but then his face changed into a serious face as he analyzed the printout's content, the hint, and how Naruto acted during the training. He pieced the information he got and finally said in frustration "I see… I lost again, damn it."

Naruto then patted Sasuke on the shoulder with a serious face "Don't mind."

Sasuke was annoyed to the point that a vein formed in his forehead so he tried to punch Naruto but Naruto just laughed as he dodged Sasuke's punches.

Kakashi sighed at this sight and saw that Sakura was still clueless and continued talking "alright! The answer to this training is teamwork! . Why do you think that is?"

Sakura raised her hand "Hai!"

"Alright. You can answer, Sakura."

"It's because we might face a stronger enemy than us if we fight one on one. So we have to have teamwork in order to kill that enemy or run away successfully after injuring the enemy." Sakura answered

"Correct! Of course, the superior ability of a ninja is important but being able to win or escape against a strong enemy with teammates that are as weak as you and tactics is your only choice. Now why do you think there were only two bells?" Kakashi asked

Sasuke replied "It's to let us fight among ourselves to see if we will put our own personal fight aside during the mission in order to complete the mission."

"Correct again! I really like you guys. You're smart and know yourselves well. You still have a long way before being a ninja who can see through deception. Naruto is one step ahead of you guys for now though. Only Naruto was able to see within the message of the printout and act upon it."

Sasuke snorted in reply

"But you guys have also passed based on my other factors for you to pass the test."

Sasuke and Sakura just looked at Kakashi in confusion

Kakashi then started a speech "Those who break the rules and codes of the ninja world are called trash… but you know what? Those who don't take care of their comrades are lower than trash. Sasuke and Sakura. You cared for Naruto when he was being chased by me so you two passed."

Naruto chuckled and said "Sensei~ Aren't you embarrassed by saying something like that?"

Sasuke also chuckled as he heard Naruto's remark towards Kakashi's speech.

Sakura just looked at the interactions between the team happily as she passed the test along with them all..
