Chapter 95: Might Duy arrive

"Tch.."

Although Fuguki's remark made Kushimaru somewhat unhappy, he still followed the rules of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen.

He had already secured the strongest one. If he were to snatch the remaining weaker ones, the other six members of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen might turn against him.

Watching the mocking Seven Ninja Swordsmen in front of him, Obito felt angrier and more uncomfortable the more he thought about it. 

The death of Genma had already clouded Obito's judgment with anger, and now with the Seven Ninja Swordsmen acting like this, it was simply unbearable!

"You bastards, all of you, just die!"

With that, Obito, regardless of the current situation, charged straight towards Fuguki.

"Obito!!"

Then, with Chakra rapidly flowing within him, Obito executed "Inner Eight Extremities Fist: Crumbling Fist."

With Obito's strike, he successfully hit the underestimating Fuguki, sending him back several steps. The impact left an obvious indentation on the struck area.

While the injury wasn't severe, it angered Fuguki greatly. Evading him was one thing, but getting injured by Obito was another matter entirely. 

"Brat, I'm going to kill you!"

Fuguki declared with a fierce expression, lifting his sword Samehada, ready to strike down Obito.

"Hehe, Fuguki, you're truly pathetic. You got injured by a mere Leaf Genin."

"Don't claim to be a part of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen in the future. Being on the same team as you is shameful enough."

Before Fuguki could act, he first faced ridicule from his teammates.

Frustrated, Fuguki couldn't help but feel itchy with anger. However, he couldn't refute the facts since everyone was stating the truth.

But this Uchiha kid's Taijutsu is quite unusual; he can target internal organs.

Seeing Fuguki's face turning blue with anger, the members of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen intensified their mockery.

Fuguki was feeling quite stifled. He had just planned to approach Obito and avenge his previous humiliation.

However, he didn't expect to be stopped again, not by mockery this time but by Mangetsu Hōzuki himself. Mangetsu flashed forward and appeared beside Obito.

Before Obito could react, Mangetsu swiftly reached for Obito's neck with his hands, halting Obito's resistance.

"Mangetsu, are you trying to die?"

Watching Mangetsu making the first move, Fuguki was filled with hatred. Mangetsu didn't bother using his twin blades. He simply used his hands to clamp down on Obito's neck, forcefully restraining Obito.

Mangetsu disdainfully turned his head and glanced at Fuguki, "A worthless person like you has no right to speak."

"You..."

Fuguki was infuriated, but his momentary lapse in judgment and the subsequent mockery from his teammates had placed him in a precarious situation.

Ignoring the enraged Fuguki, Mangetsu single-handedly grabbed Obito by the neck, lifting him off the ground.

"Obito!"

Yuhi Kurenai and the others nervously watched everything unfold, unsure of what to do. 

For these Genin experiencing a life-and-death test for the first time, just standing and talking was a testament to their strong mental resilience.

Feeling the immense pressure on his neck and the suffocating sensation, Obito could only see darkness closing in. He desperately tried to resist, but as a Genin, how could he be a match for Mangetsu?

No matter how hard he struggled, Mangetsu's hand remained firmly on his neck. Seeing Obito's attempts to break free, a smirk appeared on Mangetsu's face.

He enjoyed watching others struggle in their dying moments; it provided an unparalleled sense of accomplishment.

"Hehe, little brat, struggle all you want. Unfortunately, you're about to lose the pride of the Uchiha clan—the Sharingan."

"After losing the Sharingan, what other trump cards do you have to fight for your life?"

Mangetsu cruelly stared at Obito, and his free hand reached out, ready to gouge out Obito's eyes.

At this critical moment, a furious roar echoed around them.

"Third Gate, Gate of Life Open! Leaf Hurricane!"

Suddenly, a green figure, glowing with a green light, appeared on the battlefield and forcefully kicked Mangetsu away.

Everyone looked in disbelief at the ninja who had repelled Mangetsu. 

It was none other than Might Duy, Guy's father, who had sensed the abnormality and rushed to the scene with Hagane Kotetsu.

Earlier, they had split up to handle the situation. One came to support, and the other proceeded with the mission.

Originally, this was deemed impossible. Might Duy, as a veteran Genin of Konoha, come to support—what difference could it possibly make?

Initially, Kotetsu didn't even consider Might Duy's proposal. But nobody could resist Might Duy's persistent personality. 

Even after Kotetsu rejected the suggestion, Might Duy left a casual remark and swiftly made his way over.

Fortunately, despite being a Genin, Might Duy's speed after unlocking the Eight Inner Gates far surpassed that of an average ninja. So, at this crucial moment, he finally arrived.

"Finally caught up!" Might Duy exclaimed, taking a breath.

"Cough, cough." Obito, who had been saved, covered his neck and couldn't help but cough a couple of times.

"Dad! Why is a Genin like you here?" Might Guy look at the man standing before them in shock

"Enough talking, you all should escape. I'll buy you some time," Might Duy said sternly, without turning back, his gaze fixed on the Seven Ninja Swordsmen.

(T/N: Damn this Chinese name version of Seven Ninja Swordsmen make my mind go crazy trying to understand which one is it. Thank god, it has a clue with the sword they are holding)
