Chapter 93: Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist

"Alright, since it's none of our business, let's hurry to the Leaf Village's base and check on Kushina and the others."

Asahi shook his head and was about to leave when, the next moment, his steps came to a halt.

This sudden pause caught Shisui off guard, freezing the "Oh" about to escape his lips. 

Asahi's movement paused, and in the next moment, a terrifying surge of chakra burst from him. Startled, Shisui quickly retracted his neck, unsure of what was happening with Asahi.

In reality, the reason was straightforward. Asahi felt that the jade pendant he gave to Obito and Kurenai had been triggered.

Asahi sensed it precisely; this was the same location where Might Guy used the forbidden jutsu just now.

It was evident that Obito and Kurenai, for some reason, got involved in the battle. And since they sought help, it couldn't be Might Guy.

The facts were clear; it had to be the Seven Ninja Swordsmen. Asahi thought, " It's decide I won't let all of you survive!"

"Ahem, Master, what's happening?"

Unable to hold back, Shisui gulped nervously. Asahi's sudden action and the overwhelming chakra emanating from him left Shisui bewildered.

"Obito and Kurenai are in danger. Shisui, keep your eyes open. I'll show you the consequences when people mess with the Tazuna Clan."

"Huh?"

The moment Shisui heard that Obito and Kurenai were in danger, he was instantly dumbfounded. 

Before he could recover, Asahi grabbed Shisui's arm, and the two disappeared in an instant.

Obito, Kurenai, and Team Guy, guided by Jonin, were on a mission to transport relatively unimportant intelligence. 

Since the mission wasn't too crucial, the atmosphere among the group was relatively relaxed.

However, Sarutobi Hiruzen personally instructed them to be cautious due to the mission involving Team Kushina. So, their guiding Jōnin, Kurodani Genma, took the lead this time.

However, they never expected to run into the Seven Ninja Swordsmen who had infiltrated the Land of Fire.

Of course, if Mist Ninjas were present, they would understand that it wasn't the Konaha Team who ran into the Seven Ninja Swordsmen. 

Instead, after discovering them, the Seven Swordsmen chose not to silently retreat like typical infiltrators but opted to eliminate these skilled Leaf Shinobi.

With a burst of sinister laughter echoing, the previously carefree Obito immediately tensed. The rest of the team swiftly assumed defensive postures.

As the laughter approached, they finally got a clear view of the intruders. 

A group of seven individuals, each with a bizarre appearance – either razor-sharp teeth or wrapped entirely in bandages. None looked like ordinary people.

Their appearance wasn't peculiar to Obito, who had been mingling in the border areas for over a month. After all, the Mist Ninjas on the Water Country's side were no less strange.

Yet, these individuals, with peculiar weapons on their backs, made Obito feel uneasy.

"Hey, are you guys from the Land of Water? What's your purpose in our Land of Fire?"

Obito questioned the seven individuals sternly.

This made the Seven Swordsmen all burst into laughter, their terrifying appearances giving an eerie vibe.

"Haha, seems like this little brat doesn't recognize us. What to do? The feeling of being ignored... truly makes me want to kill!"

With a giant sword on his back, Samehada, Fuguki Suikazan, grinned eerily while looking at the Leaf Shinobi.

"You..."

"Enough!"

Obito was about to speak but was abruptly cut off by the lead Jōnin, Kurodani Genma.

"Genma-senpai, what's going on?"

Obito looked at the Jōnin Genma curiously, and to his surprise, the experienced Jōnin showed a look of fear, which was quite unusual.

"Oh, it seems someone has recognized us."

Jinin Akebino spoke, but his expression remained stoic, making it hard to gauge his true emotions.

"Hehe, looks like we're still quite famous. To celebrate, how about I give them a luxurious lightning funeral?"

Kurosaki Raiga grinned, his mouth stretching wide.

"Hmph, let me just blast them into pieces with my Shibuki."

Jinpachi Munachi didn't pay any attention to Kurosaki Raiga, smiling with a twisted mouth.

Although the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist appeared divided, Genma was still filled with despair.

However, these kids around him were the hope of Konoha's future. He might not survive, but he hoped to pass on this will of fire to the next generation.

Hearing the words from the Konoha group, Fuguki Suikazan laughed exaggeratedly, not taking them seriously at all.

"Thunder Swords, Kiba, Raiga Kurosaki. Twin swords, Hiramekarei, Mangetsu Hōzuki. Great Sword, Samehada, Fuguki Suikazan. Blast Sword, Shibuki, Jinpachi Munashi. Among Jonin, who doesn't know the names of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen?"
