Seeing Shisui vanish so abruptly left them momentarily stunned, but they quickly reacted.

Being alert to their surroundings, the Mist ninjas swiftly identified Shisui's whereabouts. Shisui had moved several kilometers away from them by now. 

Although the Mist ninjas couldn't see him, Shisui's chakra fluctuations couldn't be concealed.

Shisui was well aware of this fact, so he didn't linger and quickly headed towards the shore at full speed.

With a couple of quick jutsu, she destroyed the boats used by Ao and Shisui, then addressed the group, 

"Let's head back to the village and report the information to the Mizukage." Mei Terumi wasted no time and swiftly moved towards Kirigakure.

As Shisui, who was in the process of retreating, reached the shore, his Sage Mode was exhausted, returning him to his normal state. 

Feeling the sudden decline in power, Shisui cautiously concealed his presence. The Land of Water was vast, and Shisui wasn't concerned about the Mist ninja finding him.

What he needed to do now was find a secluded place, slowly replenish his chakra, and take advantage of the Mist's delayed response to escape. 

Thanks to his Master, Asahi's good habits, Shisui always carried plenty of supplies, eliminating the need to take risks searching for resources.

As time passed slowly, Shisui's chakra gradually returned to its peak state. 

The situation unfolded as he had anticipated; the Mist ninja had not yet come looking for him. 

Finally, as the sun completely set, Shisui began his next move.

For a country surrounded by the sea on all sides like the Land of Water, boats were abundant. 

Shisui easily found a boat and set sail under the cover of night. However, due to the ongoing war, Shisui unfortunately encountered Mist patrolling ninja.

Or rather, it was unfortunate for the patrolling ninja. Although their average strength was a Chunin, their strength was completely disregarded by Shisui.
