"Uchiha kid, if you want to pass, you'll have to get through me first!" 

Kagero said sternly, preparing to attack with his hands forming a pistol shape.

Shisui hadn't mastered instant activation of the Flash Step yet. So, facing Kagero's interception, Shisui had no means to counter it.

Anxiously watching Ao getting farther away, Shisui knew that if he couldn't deal with Kagero blocking his path, there was no way to catch up with Byakugan. 

Thus, Shisui forcibly withdrew his gaze from chasing Ao. Taking a deep breath, he looked at Kagero with a serious expression.

In that case, he would have to take down Kagero first and then go after Byakugan! 

Shisui made a determined decision, following the principle of striking first and suffering later. 

Without waiting for Kagero to attack, Shisui rushed towards him. With the short dagger unsheathed, Shisui directly slashed at Kagero's chest.

However, the expected sensation of cutting into flesh did not come. There was no blood flowing from the chest that Shisui had seemingly cut into. 

Shisui, perceiving this, instantly changed his expression. Without a moment of hesitation, Shisui immediately moved away from the original spot.
