5 My system
Around afternoon, we passed the highest mountain, majestically rising towards the sky.
I landed on its peak, which, unfortunately today, was covered by a thick layer of clouds, denying us any view.
The winds raged up there with several hundred kilometers per hour on average.
The first time I was up here, 4 years ago, there was a storm. Biting wind, less than minus 120 degrees, with a speed of more than 1000 km/h. Insane! I nearly was blown away!
That's why nothing lived up here.
"Leo, can we continue?" Mia asked with a little shiver in her voice. "It's uncomfortable up here."
"Of course!" I replied. "But since we're on the highest mountain, it means we've covered a little more than half to cross the mountain range."
"That's good!" Mia said happily.
By evening, I hopped over a few more mountains. As it had clouded over, I now jumped through milky clouds.
"Can you even see where we're jumping?" I heard the nervous wife. "I can't even see my own hand in front of my eyes!" she said in a loud indignantly tone.
"Of course, it's quite simple!" I said, "you just have to use your Mana to see."
"You say that as if it's easy!"
"It is!"
"No, it's not!"

We continued to discuss a bit and then settled down for the night.
Just as we lay in the tent, it started to drizzle and then rain heavily, turning into a massive thunderstorm.
Lightning and thunder echoed through the night.
But that didn't bother me, so I slept deeply as always.
For my wife, it was different, so I stuffed some dragon leather into her ears and lay my arm around her body.
Since she slept, I guess it worked.
The next morning, it was drizzling lightly, but that didn't deter us from continuing our journey. As for the nocturnal activities, we agreed to postpone them until we have our own house.
"Is it okay if I go a bit faster?" I asked.
"Is this not your fastest?" my wife asked surprised.
"No, so?"
"If you land as gently as before, okay!" she nodded.
I didn't ask twice and now activated a bit more of my Mana, not the passive stuff for training, but now actively.
"Get ready!" I said and jumped with a portion of my strength.
"Ahhhh!" Mia screamed as I crossed several valleys at four times the speed of sound.
After a while, Mia was completely dazed. But since there were no more mountains, only hills, I ran.
This was even faster because I didn't lose speed in the air. So I raced over the gradually flattening plains following a small stream of the mountains which slowly was transforming in a broad river.
A lot of other rivers and creeks fed it, until on the third day around noon, I saw a lake.
The lake was huge and round, more like a sea; I felt like at the ocean. In the middle was a large island. The river I followed, which one was now a real Monster, fed into the lake, and I think that at the other side of the sea another river flows out of it.
I ran over the water and arrived.
I briefly set down Mia, who fell staggering on a stone to sit, and I jumped into the air.
What I saw was perfect!
The lake had a radius of about 200 km, an almost oval island in the middle with a mountain, and flat land around the mountain.
The mountain wasn't that big, a maximum height of 900 meters, and the island had a radius of about 50 km. Back on the ground, I picked up Mia again and climbed the mountain.
Upon reaching the top, I said, "Here we are."
My wife said nothing and sat on a rock, her face completely pale.
"Sorry, Mia!" I said embarrassed. "The journey has come to an end now! Because, I decided thatthis is now my, no, our land!" I said triumphantly.
Mia smiled at me.
I picked up a random stone and said, "This is the first stone, and many more will follow."

"What is this?" I asked surprised, my Mana level kept increasing unstoppable. But the voice sounded again.

"Mia?" I asked while slowly calming the raging amount of Mana within me. It felt like it had doubled.
"Hmm?" she asked unknowingly.
"I think I just got my system!" I said excitedly.
Mia immediately jumped up; "Really?! Show it, show it!"
I could hardly contain myself, so I quickly set up the sofa, and we sat down side by side.
"What are you waiting for? Say it!" Mia urged me impatiently.
I closed my eyes and said, "Status System."
"Yippee!" Mia cheered.
I immediately opened my eyes and saw a blue screen.
"How is this possible?" I murmured.
"Doesn't matter! Now you have one!"
But I didn't see the usual overview window; instead, I saw a prompt.

Without questioning it, Mia replied, "Choose neutral."
"But isn't good better?"
"No! In my opinion, neutral is the right choice!" she explained, "when push comes to shove, you can welcome or reject both, and vice versa!"
I nodded and trusted Mia.
So, I chose Neutral. Immediately, a new window opened, asking if I wanted to set my castle.
I clicked yes, and the earth immediately shook. I blinked once, and suddenly, a majestic castle stood before me on the mountaintop.
It was built of rubble stone but had a powerful aura!
"Amazing!" Mia muttered nervously and couldn't stand still. "But show your status already!"
I was curious too, so I opened it.

"Hahaha!" Mia started laughing. "You're a demigod!"
"Hmm," I pondered, "I didn't expect that!"
I looked in her face which changed somehow, like she noticed something.
"Me neither!" she said, but now a bit quieter, she whispered, "Leo?"
"Hmm, what is it, Mia?"
"I... I don't know how to say it, but it feels like we don't live on the same planet anymore. Something like that."
"What..? Ah! You mean because I'm a demigod, and you're a human?"
She nodded.
"Haa.. Come here!" I laughed.
I took her in my arms; "Let's explore the castle and have some fun along the way!"
Mia didn't move.
"My feelings haven't changed. How about you?"
She shook her head.
"If that's the case!" I smiled, "follow me!"
I made a small bow and welcomed her with a hand gesture.
Then we explored our castle; it was huge! It had walls, a courtyard, a throne room, bedrooms, a kitchen, and so on. Everything a castle needs. However, in the throne room, there was a room with something special, more on that later.
Inside, the castle was warmly decorated, the outer appearance of stone was not visible here. The walls were wallpapered, and the rooms and corridors were equipped with carpets and decorations.
Mia and I heated things up since I told her that the castle would soon not be so empty. We had our fun in many places where it would be denied to us later.
From the kitchen through the hallway to the throne room on the throne. After the second time, I had to carry Mia. But she was so insatiable that we needed until the gray morning to see everything in the castle.
Exhausted, Mia sat trembling on the throne, where we had more than four times our fun because it echoed so beautifully.
"We didn't have so much fun even on our wedding night!" I remarked.
Mia nodded, smiling trance-like.
I gently washed Mia and put her in her pajamas, then I carried her into the royal bedroom and laid her down gently.
I took a short power nap until it was noon.
Since my stomach was growling, I stood up cautiously, and without waking Mia, I sneaked out of the room.
I walked with the backpack out of the castle and enjoyed the sunshine in the garden while eating bread.
Then I strolled to the throne room and entered a small room behind the throne. In it was an altar-like structure with a crystal-clear blue sphere.
I had just casually learned that through it, I could directly access the sub-point of the status, the management of my kingdom.
So, I did, and immediately, a large window opened in front of me.
