[Central Crystal]

With a smile playing on my lips, I activated the Central Crystal. A new window opened, displaying the required resources.

Full of anticipation, I selected to construct the Central Crystal. The question of the location was quickly answered: the crystal room of the castle. As usual, a short tremor shook the earth, and in an instant, it was all over. The system chimed in, confirming the success.

[Successful]

"Open the overview of the Central Crystal!" I commanded.

I took a deep breath and gazed over my kingdom. I stood on the outer wall, and the wind tousled my short hair.

"Haaa, this will be a challenge!" I sighed, "I need Mia for this." I decided.

I looked at the slowly setting sun, reflecting on the river before me.

I jumped off the wall and followed the course of the river to the port city, the last district I had built.

My stroll took me along the wide river originating from the lake.

I walked far enough until I reached the district.

The waterfront promenade stretched before me, lined with artistic bridges connecting the two sides of the port city area. The arches of these bridges reflected in the clear water, while lanterns scattered their warm light over the picturesque scenery.

Gondolas and merchant ships moved elegantly through the waterways, flanked by well-built docks.

These served as a kind of bus system and operated automatically.

My path led me along the river, surrounded by wide, adorned stone paths on both sides. They served as shores and bordered the railings and houses.

The river was flanked by stone walls, as if it were a canal. Inspired by Venice, I had incorporated many branches and intersections leading into the city.

These served as streets and offered fast transportation options. Some were wider than others.

I crossed a beautiful small bridge, passing magnificent buildings majestically lining the way.

Towers and palaces reached into the sky, adorned with intricate embellishments reflecting in the water, creating a enchanting backdrop.

Empty cafes and shops on the boulevards offered a breathtaking view of the water as I enjoyed the idyllic atmosphere of the waterfront promenade.

As I followed the river a bit further and eventually turned, I reached a spacious square where the waterfront promenade met a magnificent market street.

This was a pedestrian zone, and no boats could pass through here.

Here stood the teleportation monolith, and the market street led in both directions, one out of the city and the other to the bridge leading to the island.

Every few meters, deciduous trees rose from the paved path, adorned with garlands for light.

Looking along the wide street towards the horizon revealed another fascinating element of this port city. On the golden sparkling lake, an island rose, connected by a gigantic bridge.

Its majestic arch extended far over the water, connecting the city to the island.

I couldn't help but smile.

This is my creation!

My walk now led me through the idyllic alleys, surrounded by arcades and waterways, where magically illuminated cobblestones guided the way.

Here, I had settled magnificent apartments and shops.

Statues of Mia in various poses adorned the streets, acting as water goddesses in fountains or divine symbols of healing in front of the hospital—creating a motivating atmosphere, and the jumping water fountains generated a soothing ambiance.

Finally, I reached a square from which I had a breathtaking view of the illuminated harbor.

The red sun reflected in the calm water, while shadows and lights of the anchored ships created a fascinating spectacle on the surface.

This harbor district served as a kind of ship guard, with taverns, trade houses, and workshops.

I had divided the port city into different function-based zones: The waterfront promenade with its elegant architecture and waterways served as both the main connection between districts and a place for trade and recreation.

The market street was to become the heart of trade, where merchants offered their goods, and street performers provided entertainment.

The arcaded alleys housed shops and residential areas, while the harbor area represented the center of maritime life.

There was also a place of learning, where libraries and schools were present, from elementary school to university—a vast area dedicated solely to this purpose.

With a satisfied look, I walked through the alleys. Always next to a waterway, which could also be considered a road.

"I'm really excited!" I thought with anticipation, "What will the city filled with life look like?"

I had tried to create a unique theme for each district. The port city is connected to the water and therefore crisscrossed by waterways, like veins flowing through it.

While inspired by Venice, it had a different, more majestic aura. The design and architectural style of the houses were more modern, and the streets were much wider.

I nodded in satisfaction.

In each district is enough living room for 100.000 people, so I had to hope that enough people will be invited.

I really am looking forward to it!

Arriving at the lakeside, I decided to cross the bridge.

I found the bridge very beautiful, radiating a simple power.

One felt small next to it, especially compared to the gatekeepers standing guard next to the gate.

They are standing left and right of the doorway which leads through the wall.

They were some meters high, out of stone and the eyes sparkled at me, and I walked through the 50-meter-high gate.

Now I accelerated a bit and reached the entrance of the castle. I grinned and entered. I quietly sneaked through the castle towards the bath with a view and entered silently.

I wanted to surprise Mia.

Arriving in the bath, warm and humid air greeted me. A light mist hung in the air, and I heard the splashing of water.

I quietly undressed, and my bare feet skimmed over the white marble floor, which was already slightly damp.

"Hmm Hmm hm!" I heard someone humming, and through the light mist, I could see Mia's delicate back.

She sat on the edge of the pool, splashing her feet in the water while humming heavenly. Behind her, the moon was slowly rising, and individual stars were visible through the large window, with the outer part of the pool steaming against the clear sky.

I grinned and prepared for the attack. I spread my arms and jumped out of hiding.

"SURPRISE!" I shouted, hugged Mia, and we flew into the water in a high arc.

*Splash*

She paddled frantically with her arms for a moment and then surfaced like a wet dog, clinging to me, gasping for air.

I stood up to my neck in the water, so she clung to my neck.

"Are you crazy?" she asked with wide-open eyes. She paddled still panicky with her legs, which now wrapped around my belly like an anaconda.

"SURPRISE!" I grinned and gave her a kiss.

"Surprise my ass!" she complained, "You know I can't swim!"

I laughed; my hands wandered to her buttock and massaged it.

"I'm really surprised!" I said with round eyes and an open mouth, "Your butt has really gotten a bit bigger!"

With a red face, she replied, "Stop it! Let me go!"

With a broad grin, I let her go.

"And will you let go too?" I asked as she still clung to me.

She clung even tighter.

"Do you want me to drown?" she asked in shock. Her eyes were as big as those of a baby seal.

"It's okay, it was just a joke!" I reassured her, "As an apology, I'll teach you to swim!"

When no answer came, I looked at her questioningly.

She nodded and opened her mouth, but no words came out.

"Don't worry," I reassured her, "We'll have fun afterwards!"

Her face then brightened, and we waded into shallower water.

For an hour, until the moon was fully up and the stars sparkled, we swam.

Although she wasn't a talent in swimming, she now had at least mastered the basics.

"All right, that's enough!" I smiled, "Follow me!"

I now walked slowly through the water, into deeper part of the pool, towards the big window.

"I...thought...it's...enough!" I heard Mia desperately swimming behind me.

"Just a bit more!" I stood now with my back to the window, opening my arms.

Like a beginner swimmer, which she was, she swam awkwardly into my arms—her hair floating behind her—where she came to a heavy-breathing stop.

"Well done!" I said, "I'm proud of you!"

"Haa...haaa...thank you!"

"For that, you've earned a reward!"

With a grin, I tapped on the large window, which opened like a double wing door.

Outside, the water was shallow again. We went to the wall and looked over the edge of the pool.

And under the half-moon and the shining stars, we had a lovely watery dance.
