34 Chapter 34: Mindless State

Gael who is now a few feet away from Hannibal is standing with his right leg forward and he also lowered his center of gravity so that he can easily put all his strength in his legs if he decided to attack.

Hannibal was staring at him with an amazed expression because this is the first time that he saw someone use their killing intent and bloodlust like this, using it to remove the limits on the body. Hannibal is amazed by how Gael uses it regardless of its toll on his body.

The state he is referring to where he uses his bloodlust and killing intent to increase his body's capabilities is what he calls 'Mindless State' since he seems to lose his usual self every time he uses the mindless state, it is as if he is being possessed by a ruthless entity since every time he enters the mindless state he became a cold-blooded killer that does not have any regards towards life.

That is why he hates entering the mindless state he feels like he's becoming more and more of a monster than a monster, Gael does not want to lose himself.

The current Gael has entered the mindless Tate since his opponent is strong and he cannot win unless he advanced to Adept Tamer if Fortis actually advanced right now and Gael became an Adept Tamer he still has to familiarise himself with his newfound strength, that is why entering the mindless state is his only choice right now.

Fortis felt that there is something different about Gael so he turned his head to have a look while fighting the Brutal Bear when Fortis saw Gael's current appearance, his eye are red and by is face have bulging veins, making him look terrifying.

Fortis stared for a few seconds before he retracted his gaze and focused on the Brutal Bear who is still attacking relentlessly.

" You are really interesting but I have to kill you right now," Hannibal said after being amazed by Gael's Mindless State.

"Gaaaaaaahhhhh!" Hannibal roared as he dashed toward Gael but this time his attack is not a downward swing but a side swing full of power.

" We'll see if you have the ability to kill me you fucker! " Gael said in a mocking tone with a wicked smile on his face, his current personality is caused by his Mindless State.

Gael also dashes towards the fat Hannibal, with one of his hands holding the scabbard of his sword and the other the hilt.

" Hahahahaha die fatty! " Gael said while laughing loudly.

Gael and Hannibal passed through each other and they are now standing a few feet away with their backs facing each other, they are both just standing holding their weapons. There is a strange silence that filled the surroundings as if time has stopped.

" Pwua! " Gael threw up a mouthful of blood on the ground, he knelt with one of his knees and he used his sword to support his weight.

" Hahahahaha I told you, you will die right here " Hannibal laughed as he was the one who remained standing. But his smile disappeared, a thin red line appeared on his neck then suddenly blood spurted out.

" Ho-ho-ho-how? I should be the winner, you should be begging me to spare your life...why? " Hannibal said as he slowly lose consciousness and slowly fell down.

*Thud!

Hannibal's fat body made a loud sound when he fell to the ground, dust and small pebbles flew, and the ground also vibrated a little. he died not knowing how he died, how he lost to a Novice Tamer with a Goblin as his familiar.

Gael turned his head to look at Hannibal's dead body, he slowly stood up his body is extremely tired and devoid of energy, he just wants to lie down and take a long nap, but he can't do that since there is still the Brutal Bear that he has to kill.

The Familiar of a Tamer receives a psychological shock and damage to their soul when their Tamer dies and the same thing happens to the Tamer if their familiar happens to die. The Brutal Bear who is currently fighting against Fortis suddenly stopped moving when he felt a shock in his head it is as if his head is being cracked open, and he felt as if something is missing, after a few seconds the Brutal Bear roared knowing that Hannibal has died.

Fortis took the chance to land a strike on the Brutal Bear when he noticed that is stopped moving and is in pain, he made a horizontal sword slash aiming at the Brutal Bear's neck wanting to kill him quickly. But the Brutal Bear managed to react at the last second and blocked the sword but the sword still grazed the cheek of the Brutal Bear.

When Fortis saw that his sword, cut the Brutal Bear he smiled cruelly revealing his sharp and shiny teeth.

The Brutal Bear was about to strike back but he felt that his body is getting numb, the Brutal Bear looked at Fortis.

Fortis used his saliva to coat his sword, just like how he used the paralyzing effect of his saliva on Hannibal, he used it again on the Brutal Bear.

Seeing that the Brutal Bear is still moving toward him with the intention to attack Fortis also dashed forward to have a full-on clash with the Brutal Bear, Fortis is confident that he can fight against the Brutal Bear because of the earlier wound he inflicted on the Bear, though it cannot completely paralyze the Brutal Bear its movements are still affected, the Brutal Bear became slower and his movements are sloppy.

Fortis and the Brutal Bear clashed against each other, sword against claw.

The clash of the sword and claw made the sound of metals hitting each other.

Earlier Fortis is only on the defensive but now he can counterattack, Fortis and the Brutal Bear have exchanged hundreds of moves and they are now both riddled with wounds, but Fortis is the one in the worst condition of the two, Fortis now realized that he cannot underestimate a C rank monster who undergoes its first evolution.

Fortis is both tired and heavily wounded he is now kneeling on the ground while the Brutal Bear is slowly walking towards him with its bloody sharp claws.

When the Brutal Bear was about a few inches away a voice suddenly sounded.

" Good job Fortis, being able to last this long against this Brutal Bear, you have become stronger again, but you can learn the rest to me " Gael appeared beside Fortis.

Fortis looked up and saw Gael, the Gael beside him is now the normal Gael.

Gael is now out of the mindless state and is in his normal state, his body is aching all over but he dares not rest since Fortis is still fighting that is why he rushed to where Fortis is since they have been separated when they were fighting earlier.

It only took Gael a minute before he reached Fortis and the Brutal Bear and he saw how Fortis fought bravely despite the difference in strength.

It made him happy how Fortis performed that is why he complimented him when he reached him.

" Kiiiik " Fortis said excitedly when he saw that Gael is back to his usual self. He saw Gael when he was in a mindless state and it terrified him since it is the first time he saw a different side of Gael, the Gael he knows is the person who always gives him his favourite roasted meat and always smiling and carefree not the terrifying and ruthless one.

" I'm back, so you don't have to worry about me, " Gael said when he saw how Fortis look at him and he knows that Fortis is worried about him.

" Now let me deal with this bear first, then we can have a lump of good roasted meat at the village " Gael said he positioned himself in front of Fortis, ready to strike the Brutal Bear.

* Roaaaaar!

The Brutal Bear lunge toward them brandishing its long sharp claws.

Gael used Dash he turned into a blur he used his sword draw technique, he passed through the Brutal Bear and a long red thin line appeared on the Brutal Bear's body but the Brutal Bear just turned around not minding the wound, the bear then lunge again, seeing the Brutal Bear Gael again positioned himself to attack using sword draw again, and it caused a long wound on the Brutal Bear's body again forming an X mark, but just like earlier the Brutal Bear disregarded the wound and continue to attack Gael.

" You're extremely tough and persistent, but you're already dead, so just give up already! " Gael said, as he hold the hilt of his sword tightly.

Then he turned into a blur, he used sword draw again, the Brutal Bear attacked again as well still standing straight.

Gael has already decided that he will now end the Brutal Bear and he will do it, he turned into a blur but this time he didn't stop after one attack, he continued to use the sword draw from different directions and the wounds on the Brutal Bear's body is starting to pile up, long Crisscrossing wound painted the big furry body of the Brutal Bear.

Gael stopped moving and he appeared in front of the Brutal Bear who is just standing still.

" You fought well, now you can be with your Tamer in hell " Gael walked past the Brutal Bear and the bear slowly fell down making a loud thud sound.
