4 Chapter 4: Coldjade Snake

Water Mountain Breeding Base, for the convenience of breeding and cultivating different pets, has used Arcane Force and technology to create various environmental areas such as mountains, plains, deserts, lakes, snow mountains, volcanoes, and more.

As a Purple Superior, the potential of the Coldjade Snake was also outstanding among Superior pets.

"I'm David Jones, from Trainer Class 2 of Secondary High School." David spoke softly.

"You should be prepared to contract with a Coldjade Snake. Are you also here to try your luck?" Margaret Yule asked with a generous smile.

"Yes, but I think your chances of success shouldn't be low." David said.

"Ah, do you know me?" Margaret Yule asked in surprise.

"Your reputation precedes you, I've heard about you even in my school. You're a Trainer prodigy from Waterland High School who has awakened the Ice ability to Strengthen Talent [Ice Blessing]."

"It's not as exaggerated as you make it out to be. I just wanted to give it a try, too. It's said that even senior Trainers have less than a 50% chance to contract with a Coldjade Snake successfully. I wanted to try my luck."

"True, with two chances, we can't help but try."

"Yeah, it's a little difficult with just Ice-based talent and without Psychic talent. But the Coldjade Snake is so adorable; I really want one."

David nodded.

"Hey, isn't that Margaret Yule? If even she fails to contract, there might be no one who succeeds in this session."

"Maybe she can do it. She's from the Yule family in Waterland and has awakened the Ice-based Strengthen Talent."

"Yeah, she's so pretty, she might be able to gain the Coldjade Snake's favor."

"... Do you think all pets are as loyal as you, only liking the pretty ones?"

As expected, those with good looks and talent always receive preferential treatment - even the surrounding crowd lined up to watch had high expectations of her.

Inside the valley, Margaret Yule took a jade box from her spatial ring and extracted an Ice-type Magic Core, placing it next to a petite Coldjade Snake hatchling.

The little snake opened its dazed and adorable eyes, slowly coiling its body around the Magic Core before closing its eyes in satisfaction.

Seeing this, Margaret Yule couldn't help but feel delighted. Unconsciously, she activated her Innate Talent and began establishing a Beast Taming Contract through her Arcane Star.

Margaret continued pouring Psychic Power and Arcane Force into the Arcane Star within her mind, forming a blue, five-pointed star Rune Circle around it.

The blue Rune Circle within the Arcane Star absorbed Psychic Power and Arcane Force continuously, becoming larger and brighter. Radiant light emitted from it, crossing through space and appearing in front of her.

The blue light flew in front of the Coldjade Snake and swirled around it, finally converging into a blue five-pointed star Rune Circle connected to the head of the snake, which was still delightfully absorbing the Magic Core's Energy.

The Rune Circle occasionally flickered with blue-white light, indicating that the Beast Taming Contract was being formed.

Feeling that the contracting process was going smoother than anticipated, Margaret Yule couldn't help but let out a smile, her cheeks revealing a pair of sweet dimples.
