Ryuu stopped at the intersection and looked around. No cars could be seen left or right, it should be fine to cross here, before he could do so though, from the corners of his eyes, he saw someone that almost made his eyes pop out.
The long hair with a lively red color that shined under the sun swayed due to the fresh breeze of the morning. Something about her almond-shaped red eyes made Ryuu's heartbeat skyrocket, it was his first time seeing such an unbelievably hot girl in real life, her soft petal-pink lips had a mischievous grin as she looked at her smartphone screen. Even from so far away, he could somehow hear her sweet voice as she laughed at something.
It could only be a dream, girls like that only existed in such places and in teen dramas that aired on television channels from time to time.

As Ryuu thought about that, the beautiful girl went past him and was already ten meters away, seeing how she did not even look at him, Ryuu lowered his head and kept walking without showing any emotions on his face, only his mind kept playing a weird version of this encounter.

He should've expected, as a shut-in gamer who doesn't even speak with girls, what else could he have expected? If only life was like a game, maybe things would have been easier.
As he thought about that, something suddenly made his heart race like never before, his senses became overly sensitive and the world seemed to slow down, looking forward, he gasped seeing what looked like a giant man flying towards them.
At that moment his body reacted on its own, his legs spared nothing and used every single bit of energy they could muster from his body as he caught the girl in his arm and jumped to the left using a strength he didn't even think he was capable of.
Surprised by being suddenly grabbed from behind, the girl with red hair stopped looking at her smartphone, and noticed the giant being falling towards her, in a split second, she managed to look back and was surprised to see this boy that saved her.
His short brown hair had nothing especial to it and even seemed a little lackluster, but his chestnut eyes were shining with a level of determination she never saw before, something about them even made her heart jump a little despite his face being a fairly common one when compared to most boys.
They fell away from the danger with unbelievable speed. if it wasn't for Ryuu suddenly having a spike of strength, then, they would have been smashed by the man who crashed the asphalt almost like it was made of cardboard and got out of this unscathed even though he created a 10 meters large crater there.
She coughed slightly because of the cloud of dust, annoyed by this, her hands suddenly started to shine with a dark-red aura, she waved her hand and all that dust was scattered away with extreme speed, the winds she created being so strong that they even knocked back some of the debris that had fallen near them.
She looked down towards the boy and bit her lips, his eyes were shut, and he wasn't moving, fearing the worse, she leaned down her head on his chest and weaved a sigh of relief when she heard his heart.
"Don't worry friend, since you saved me, I won't let anything happen with you!" She gave him a big smile although he couldn't see nor hear her words and stood up.
"Uhm? Oh, the two ants survived? Hehe!" The man who almost killed the both of them smiled, his head looked like that of a t-rex, and that probably explained his weirdly deep voice, while his whole body was covered in feathers, every muscle of his body was big enough to fit a person inside.
The girl shook her head and showed him a single finger.
"What are you trying to say, little girl? Answer my question and I'll give you a quick death."
Her smile became wider as her hair slightly fluctuated and the dark-red aura covered her.
People started to appear out of nowhere and watch the situation while some took out their phones and called out both the heroes association and the police.
"One, finger, I'll defeat you using this single finger."
Hearing this the veins on his arms and head started to pop out as he clenched his teeth. "So cocky for someone of your age, did your parents forget to teach you respect? Grr, don't worry, YOU'LL HAVE MORE TIME TO LEARN THIS IN YOUR NEXT LIFE!"
He stepped forward and tried hitting her using all his strength, his foot hit the ground so hard that it fragmented under it, and his punch sent a wave of air so strong that it pushed out the crowd, he wasn't as strong as the famous All Might, but it was clear that he was definitely above most people in terms of strength.
"No! That kid... she...!" The people looked incredulous at the scene, such a young and beautiful girl... dying on the hands of this damn villain...
When the dust cloud settled down, everyone was shocked by the sight of a red transparent energy barrier that appeared between the two, all the energy that made the shield was coming only from the finger that she had early claimed to be the only one needed to defeat him.
"W-what!?" The t-rex looked at the scene completely startled. How!? How did she defend against that when she's only a kid!?
"Surprised, aren't you? Bye bye Mr. Rex, have a good life in prison." She winked at him, and with a smile, she waved her finger, and the energy that composed the shield suddenly became a giant fist that quickly rose and fell down on top of him, the impact this time was enough to break all the windows in the surrounding area.
People crouched down and covered their ears because of the loud sound coming from the hole she created with that single 'punch'.
The T-rex-man, meanwhile, had already blacked out while being forced down by the energy punch that only stopped after he reached 20 meters below the ground. Looking at the hole she made with her quirk, she opened her eyes wide and whispered. "Oopsie..."
However, as soon as she saw the crowd looking at her while filming using their cameras and with their mouths hanging. She smiled mischievously and made a 'V' sign with her right hand in front of her right eye, and winked with the other one.
From that day on, she received a nickname within the heroes fandoms online, the 'Mischievous Reddeath'.
