One Arm Against Two Opponents

And… He was doing all of it in a grand fashion. Gong, who was watching the whole thing from a window, was appalled. He watched on as Yun Tian single handedly, literally, took on the two peak dantian building experts.

He focused less on the strength behind his attacks bringing himself back to his roots with the Deadly Flash skill as he swung his sword. Each slash was incredibly quick and he managed to block both of their attacks based solely on his incredible speed.

He would block one of them, before immediately continuing and turning to block the other. He was so fast that afterimages were created and the others around could barely see his blade as it flashed between the two of them.

Each of his strikes still contained a large amount of force but the two of them were able to handle it now with their respective abilities since he had to deal with both at once. Still, it could be seen that the two of them were being faintly suppressed as he slowly picked up speed with each swing.

He was stuck in this situation for a while just passively blocking their attacks and amazing everyone around. Shen Yu in his arms just stuck as close to him as possible and held her face against his chest. While they were currently in a dangerous battle, she was in the place she felt safest, his arms. So, she wasn't scared. She had seen him grow and put in so much work. She believed he could protect her.

Besides that, she knew he wasn't dumb. If he didn't think he could handle it, he would have taken them away a long time ago.

At the same time, the wolves were currently decimating the other experts from the two clans. Bolin kept the late stage expert busy as the rest of the wolves weaved in between the experts' attacks and slowly took them out one by one. They were much stronger than them, with the main point being their extreme speed. So, even if they were outnumbered they had no problem. It was just that they had to be safe and didn't put their lives on the line when going for the kill.

Zan had even left the group and gone after the archer to get her to stop bothering Yun Tian. The archer had realized that her arrows couldn't do much harm to him. So, she had switched doing her best to distract him, which included going after Shen Yu in his grasp. Zan had seen this and realized the arrows forced Yun Tian to continuously make sure Shen Yu wouldn't get hurt, severely distracting him and limiting his movements.

Thus, not allowing him to display his full potential in the battle, even if he was already doing a great job using one arm to battle two people at the same time.

Even with Zan and Bolin going after the late stage experts, the mid and early stage experts' numbers dwindled quickly, making the expressions of Gu Jie and Mu Wen who noticed this darken.

They were upset about their clansmen dying, but the main worry was that if their clansmen died they weren't sure if they could handle it if the wolves and Yun Tian were to team up.

They could see the wolves were no pushovers and they couldn't ignore their attacks like Yun Tian did with the archer before. They would suddenly become the ones outnumbered. Before, they were fine with the current situation as they were sure Yun Tian would be the first to run out of energy, but it seemed they couldn't wait any longer.

Her mind suddenly made up on what to do, Mu Wen shouted, "I'll focus on tying him up."

With that her battle style suddenly changed. Earlier the ultimate goal of her swordplay was to somehow soften his blows, entangle his sword and get past it to kill him. Now, she still did her best to soften his blows but then she also did her best to intertwine her sword with his. It was like she was trying to hold onto his sword with her own. She no longer tried to use her sword to kill him. Her entire effort was on trying to distract him and nothing else.

Her blow softened strikes and she did her best to stay next to him with his sword stuck focusing on her.

Yun Tian was momentarily caught stuck in her rhythm and wasn't able to free his sword in time to block Gu Jie's attack. With Shen Yu in his left arm he instinctively did the next best thing as he twisted his body, flexible like his entire body was made of water, while swinging his leg to hit the side of Gu Jie's blade that was currently chopping down towards him.

He was able to perfectly time it and hit the man's sword. While his movement was very fluid, it was also very fast and contained so much force that Gu Jie's arm swung to the side and he almost lost his grip on his sword.

Internally the man screamed, 'How!'

Mu Wen did her best and tried to distract Yun Tian by continuing her barrage of attacks on him. But Yun Tian had already used his strength and momentum to break out of her rhythm. He decided to end this battle now. His leg came back to the ground and he pushed towards Gu Jie.

He had decided that he might not be able to get through this battle without injury and if he had to take an attack, he would rather it come from Mu Wen.

Mu Wen's blade came from behind him and the currently defenseless Gu Jie was in front of him. Deciding to go for it, he felt like a ferocious warrior filled with killing intent as he was ready to trade injury for his opponent's life. In that moment he felt he understood what it meant to be ferocious, not just to your opponent, but also yourself.

He thrust his sword forward while also twisting his body and kicking out his leg once more to try and block Mu Wen's attack.

His blade went through Gu Jie's qi barrier under the expert's horrified gaze and continued through the expert's skull ending his life while his foot was about to block Mu Wen's strike. Except this time, he wasn't hitting the flat side of the blade. The bottom of his foot was on a direct course with the tip of her sword currently thrusting towards him.
