The Eclipse

When the glory of the Moon had been stolen by the Sun, the Moon was left without its glare, its light. With the Sun now the sole giver of light onto the Earth, the Moon was left with no other task than reflecting the Sun at night. Resenting its fall from grace, the Moon sought some way to gain back its former glory. Struck with an idea, the Moon moved ever close to the Sun each day, slowly making its way across the path of the stars. Eventually, the Moon had come close enough to the Sun where it blocked out the shining rays of the Sun completely. The Sun's light was blocked by the dull Moon, and darkness covered the Earth. But the Moon grew bored of watching over a kingdom of darkness. It eventually moved out of the way of the Sun, allowing the rays of the Sun to warm and shine on the Earth once again. But as soon as the Moon stopped covering the Sun, it once again grew jealous of the Sun's brightness and glory, much more than the Moon. Again, the Moon covered the Sun, and again, the Moon grew bored and left the Sun. This cycle has continued to this day. So whenever a solar eclipse appears, know that the Moon will soon tire and the Sun will shine as normal.
