The Camel

Long ago, there lived a Camel. The Camel lived among the other animals in the forests, peacefully grazing and making their home among the other animals. But when the war between Land and the Ocean began, the home of the Camel was destroyed. In fear, the Camel was forced to leave its longtime home. On its vast journey away from the war, the Camel faced many hardships. The Camel was forced to travel through many foreign lands, clambering over mountains and carefully exploring glaciers. Through swamps, woods, and rocky plains the Camel walked through. However, the Camel soon came across an obstacle too great for it to overcome. After wandering for months on end to find a new home, the Camel came across a vast desert. Charging headlong into the new terrain, the Camel soon found itself lost. Vast whirlwinds of sand blocked the Camel's vision, and slippery dunes caused the Camel to fall many times. Eventually, as is the fate of most things in the desert, the Camel collapsed under the weight of thirst and hunger. But the spirits of the sand had been observing the poor Camel's plight. Feeling sympathy for the suffering Camel, the spirits gave the Camel the ability to go without water or food for long periods of time, raising the Camel from its suffering. Today, camels can still be seen wandering the desert, perpetually looking for their destination, but never finding it.
