Expert in Theory, Novice in Practice

Amy went to her room feeling a bit overwhelmed and sat by her desk where it was crowded with books and notebooks. She had easily finished the homework that her tutor gave her earlier so she puts that aside and did her own personal studying. She has much to work with now.

She had to explain to her parents as best as she could explain as a five year old on what she plans on doing with Alina. Other than the fact that her father did rescue her, he also spent a small fortune on buying her. Sending her away is a waste but instead of keeping her as a slave, she would be her playmate/teacher in exchange for food, shelter, a small salary and education. Otherwise, just sending her back unprepared would just result in her getting captured again.

Amy just scribbled a couple things on her notebook before she sighed and slouched in her chair.

Thank goodness her parents are understanding and loves doting on their kids. For Viola, she is a kid who is close to being spoiled. It makes her wonder just what Violet's life is like. As for Amy, she rarely asks for anything from her parents and any favors she does wish for is granted by her great-grandfather only. In conclusion, they are desperate to gift something to their kid who is hard to please and mature for her age.

Now comes the hard part.

The slave situation is a hurdle for Amaryllis to be honest. She looked into every map and studied the slave route in the entire continent. Thanks to retaining the photographic knowledge of that one image from the manga, she knows exactly what it looks like and despite being over thirty years in the past of the story's timeline, she is absolutely certain that there are no major changes. However, the issue is the government's involvement. The easiest solution is to get the royal Investigation bureau but that would mean getting the monarchy involved and he would most certainly take full political advantage over this and that is the part she wants to avoid more.

If only Leon were king then this would be so much easier. She thought with frustration.

In all honesty, she didn't expect to meet Alina this quickly. She once heard by chance that her father would go to Getel as a standee ambassador after the previous one croaked but she didn't expect him to bring her here. She knows that in the story that Rowan didn't buy Alina. Someone from Getel did but was switched around a lot until she was a teenager. In the story, she couldn't take the treatment she has been getting and escaped all on her own. This is quite unprecedented.

This is either that god's doing because they're just bored or a change in the story I am unaware of. She thought. She facepalmed feeling even more frustration.

From past accounts, the Heavenly actors all said that the gods didn't contact them or made major interference in the story but made a few tidbits here and there just to progress the story or make it more interesting. Depending on the story's direction from this point, she doesn't know how much of her knowledge is gonna stay useful.

She refocuses her attention on the current problem. Her next guess is to find an upright government official who would be able to look into this. But Solin, like all forms of government, is not perfect and corruption is quite evident and if the information and evidence she has goes to the wrong hands then it would most certainly have a terrible effect. Thanks to her great-grandfather, he gave her a crash course on every major government office in the kingdom enough to know how to guess and study the rest.

She looked over her notes on the things she wants to change and notices a name she wrote down which gave her an idea.

"That's it." she marveled silently and got a piece of paper and wrote down a couple of things and attached her hand drawn copy of the map of the slave route, got a wooden bird that she created and gave it to him.

"Give this to the Gentleman Rockwell." she said.

The bird then flew out the window. Her construction ability has grown more than she'd expected. She can pretty much make anything out of almost anything. She made wooden bugs and birds to survey across the globe to locate certain places. The homes of most of the characters who still exist are one of them.

The Rockwell's are a gentry family; a minor noble. But their youngest son is gonna be an underdog.

She then opens a hidden compartment in her floor. In addition to her wooden creations, she has her own pet project that she's been secretly working on and supplying it with much of her energy as she could. This is one of the reasons why her energy is deemed lower than Viola. It will take years to cultivate but all that time would be worth it. She looked over her creations from a secret opening in her desk. They are small and pale but are squirming as if they are alive.

"I probably deserve to go to hell for this." she whispered then closed the top and locked it by permanently attaching it to the-

"Amy!!" The door opened so abruptly and suddenly that Amy nearly fell off her chair.

"What the-!"

Amy turned her head to see Viola.

"I finished my homework. Can I meet that girl now?"

"How many times do I have to tell you to knock? You scared me." Amy says.

"I want to see her! Is she nice?" Viola shouts. "Or is she mean?" she said with a wavering expression.

"She's tired and sick. I promise you can meet her when she gets better."

"Really? I can?"

"But don't expect her to be nice at the first meeting."

"Alright, I trust you big sister." she said and ran off.

Amy can't help but smile seeing her.

She put away all her books in the shelf and look through the titles of each one before putting them away.

Linguistics, arithmetic, science, magical science, political science, sociology, philosophy, history, literature, culture, etc.

They are not difficult to comprehend or take apart. It is probably because she is somewhat aware of these back in her own world and its similarities and the inspiration they derived from. She may had her own memories erased from her old life but her knowledge thankfully remains.

As for magic, as much as everything else in this world, she knows it in theory, not in practice. The manga perfectly explains how magic works.

The Story of Aron explained that in general, magic can be used through certain means by using tools to transfer magic like runes or art inscriptions; the art of engraving magic into objects, conjure magic using staves and wands or summoning magic using magic circles or magical contracts.

But that isn't exactly what they call true magic. Doing those things require the use of magical tools which artisans crafted using magic stones or other magic infused resources.

Fundamentally, humans are incapable of using advanced magic all on their own. The most they can do is conjure simple magic or sense magic. No matter how much training a person does, it is kinda pointless and their magic wouldn't change.

However, there are humans capable of using true magic. They are called True Mages.

A true mage is born with the ability to use magic which, in theory, might correlate to their Angel and Demon bloodline. They are well received and revered everywhere but they are very few in numbers. There are at least less than fifteen born every few years and not all of them have special abilities. In the story, King Leon has a special ability so unique and powerful that it overpowers all humanity and other mortal races even in the story's current timeline and there are a surprisingly large number of true mages born in the kingdom around the same age as him with whom he grew up around. Rufus and Violet are one of them.

Thanks to this knowledge, she already began learning magic the moment she felt it. Not even Viola has awakened it yet. Maybe she wouldn't, who knows?

By following the Aron's life in the manga, she already mastered the ability to sense magic and gather it in her body bit by bit, using it to strengthen herself as well as enhanced her senses. It was because of this that as a five year old, she can probably go up against someone a few years older than her physically. Also because of her age, she is not willing to take it too far yet or she would risk destroying herself. She is not Aron who figured this out instantaneously so this process took her over a month to master. She conjures a bit of her magic and plays with it in her hand until it dissipates. The color is as white as unpolluted snow yet feels smooth and soft like fully bloomed flower petals.

In the story, it is said that Violet has a soft, soothing aura that contrasts Rufus's dark, fathomless one. He grew fond of the feeling that her aura gave him which is why he took advantage of her only to abandon her. Their son; Aron inherited a powerful striking aura that is different yet not too dissimilar to his parents.

Amy is actually quite terrified of the thought of people being attracted to her aura and even more so for her naive, young sister.
