Day one - Sticky situation... (Ch. 1)

As I opened my heavy eyes, my brain began its work… Where was I? I wasn't familiar with this place… This body too, I think…

A beautiful landscape beyond my eyes. A forested place with mountains far away. I was lying on the ground close to a lake. I can even hear the fish swimming.

It was nearly impossible to move. My body was in agony, my head was screaming and shattering like a thin glass that was struck with a hammer.

Then there was a white bunny that rested on my tummy. That didn't do the trick with pain in my body. But it gave me a smile. Heavy one.

I felt the heaviness of my body go away as I tried to move my arms. White one narrowed his ears and ran away in panic as he discovered I was alive.

And so stood up. Feeling dizzy, I walked to the lake to drink some fresh (or not?) water. Here I saw him — my reflection.

A tired teenager, a young boy with dark brown hair and almost zombie-looking gray skin. His eyes were green, and so he wore peasant-looking clothes. As the shattering pain in my head disappeared, I realized this was me.

No. This can't be me. It's not me… Or is it? I moved my body around and the reflection resonated with it. Yes. That is me.

Strange… This is not how I remember myself. For a second thought — I don't remember anything about myself. But I felt something wrong.

Anyway, this is not my main problem. I looked around trying to find something. Like a stick to defend me from whatever can reveal itself from the forest behind my back.

I felt a strange sensation in my brain. I stretched my hand to my back and there was it - A handle of something familiar.

And so I analyzed it — Short sword. A copper one. Not looking so good, as if it was used for many years, maybe even decades.

A blueish window appeared in front of my eyes:

'Broken copper shortsword'

'Damage — 3'

'Knockback — Weak'

'Critical chance — 4%'

'Fast'

'Worst sword ever to be created'

Well… That is strange.

Hm… Wait a minute… What if I?…

"Inventory" — Pronounced a shy, soft voice.

Multiple blue boxes appeared in my vision. Some of them are occupied — Broken copper shortsword, Fast copper pickaxe, Sluggish copper axe.

There were also unique slots — 'Money', 'Ammo', 'Armor', 'Vanity', 'Accessories' and 'Equipment'.

I knew I shouldn't be too long in one place, so I equipped the axe and started to chop down some trees.

Not so long after, I had around 400 wood in my inventory, around 28 acorns, and 6 yellow mushrooms with red dots around the cap. Also, the so-called 'Daybloom' flower.

A new menu appeared, called 'Crafting'.

There I saw a workbench, platforms, and other stuff. I decided to go with the workbench.

It costs 10 wood to be crafted. After I chose it and crafted it, it appeared in my inventory. A miniature bench appeared in my hand.

I placed it close to the lake. And what would you think? Yes, a crafting menu appeared on the top of it. Some armor, some weapons, and other stuff. As I crafted the full set of wooden armor, a wooden broadsword (that for some reason was stronger than copper), a wooden bow, and finally — A fishing rod. Some wood vanished from my inventory.

Accidentally, I chose the slot with the wood. Surprisingly — A set of miniature wooden planks appeared in my hand. Interesting…

I placed some of them down. It worked, creating a nice-looking wooden floor. And so I unconsciously continued. In mere hours I already had a house with windows made of wooden rams, a door, and some furniture. Although it was simple, it was comfortable in here.

Something unexpected happened after — A slimy-looking blue creature emerged from the woods. I took out my sword. Slime quickly bounced, targeting my head. I slashed it. My hand felt in pain from the slime's body resistance.

The slime jumped again. I slashed it. The process was simple, but I got burnt by the slime's body

in quite a few places. After 15 minutes, I was finally able to kill it. My body was in pain from all the burns. Something interesting dropped from the slime — A few coins and 'gel'.

I decided to rest in my house when… Let's just say an intruder came in.

A man in his 20s with brown hair and simple clothes looked at me. I threw a copper shortsword at him, but he parried.

"Hey! This is not how you should greet a guide!" — A disappointed voice came out from his mouth.

"Who…?" — I asked the man.

"A guide. I'm here to help you on your journey in this world" — He answered my question. He sat on the chair and began the story.

"Long ago, a godly creature threatened the peace of this world. The moon lord. But despite being a god, he was defeated by the 'Player' and got sealed away in a dark-dark dungeon. After some time, a cult formed. They defended the seal. But there came another 'Player'. The dark one. He broke the seal and fought the moon lord once again. The god lost one of his eyes, a brain, and his skeleton. Being weakened enough, he was sealed away once again. Not so long ago, the cult was corrupted. Those, who defended the seal with their life, began worshiping the moon god. And it's your task now, to defeat him once again. But before that, you need to gain some strength and defeat his lost body parts that gained consciousness. Also, some other creatures were corrupted by the Moon Lord. But that's not the main task. You NEED to kill the moon lord once and for all" — Explained the guide.

I simply nodded my head as an answer. Another problem on my head. Now I need to kill a literal god…

And as I wasn't noticing — the dark sky of night rose upon the world.
