3 Love Makes People Stupid

Rei stares at Shiori, who just continues to whisper to herself how much she hated his ex while Yasuko continued to pat her shoulder, trying to calm her down. He can't help himself but smile at his friends. He knew that they were worried about him. After all, they have been together since High school. They also knew all about what happened to him and Haruo.

"I know you are worried but..." He sighed, patting Shiori's head. "I am happy to be by his side."

"We would not tell you to leave him…." Yasuko stated, which made Shiori gasp, looking at her betrayed.

"What the--Yako!"

Yasuko sighed before looking directly at Rei, glaring at him. "But… If he hurts you again, I will seriously break his dick off."

"Noted." Rei nodded, smirking. "I have to go now. Yuu wants to meet up with me to plan for Saturday."

Rei stands up from his seat, grabbing his bag, which makes Shiori's eyes widen. "Huh? You're not going to eat with us?"

"Sorry! I will buy you both ice cream next time~" Rei winked, waving at both of them.

He smirked at how cute Shiori lightened up when he said that. He just can't help but spoil her. Aside from being an only child, she is the youngest of the three, so they already considered her younger sister. Though they are just a few months apart, they are basically in the same age range.

Shiori just watched Rei grab his bag, her eyes dazed and worried at the same time. After a particular red-haired guy left the room, she groaned as she buried herself in Rei's desk. She feels frustrated and kind of disappointed in their friend. All of the advice they gave him was thrown out the window! She will never give him advice again when Haruo breaks his heart. She will just kidnap and then throw Haruo out of the pacific ocean. That's much better! Shiori then looked at the brown-haired girl beside her, already having her book open as she continues reading.

"Hey, Yako…"

Yasuko moved a page of her book before answering. "Yes, Shio?"

"Does being in love make a person stupid?" Shiori pouted, looking outside the window.

Yasuko smirked at her. "Are you saying that Rei is stupid?"

"Well, after all the things he went through because of Haruo… Why do you think he came back to him?"

"Honestly..." Yasuko paused, realizing how Shiori's question makes sense. "I don't know."

Shiori sighed, letting her arms hang on the window. She is worried. And bored. Yasuko still has not looked at her and keeps reading her book. It is not new to her because that's just so... Yasuko. She then lay her head on her arm, cold wind hitting her supple skin and her smooth hair. Tucking her hair behind her ear as she watches some students who are running and laughing with each other. Others are having a date while others are having fun just being with themselves, stopping as she notices a black-haired guy surrounded by girl students. Even though his back was facing her, she saw that the guy was wearing formal attire giving off the idea that he is a professor at their university. Shiori hates to admit it, but the way he dressed and how girls fawned over him? Ohh, she knew exactly who it was.

"Mr. Katsuragi!" one of the girl students shouted as she ran towards them, causing the guy to turn around and making Shiori take a good look at his face.

Mr. Katsuragi just smiled in the girl's direction. The girl stopped in her tracks when she reached this particular professor and his fangirls. She then fidgets on her skirt, clearly embarrassed, as she pulls out a lunchbox from her bag. Shiori cannot hear all of their conversations, but she already feels so annoyed how the guy keeps smiling at the girl. What a flirt.

"Tsk! He's flirting. Again." she muttered as she curled her upper lip, disgusted but stopped when she and the professor's eyes suddenly met.

"Yako…"

Yasuko closed her book before looking at her. "Yeah?"

"I hate him." she stared blankly at the black-haired professor, who is now smiling brightly at her.

"Who?"

Shiori grimaced. "Haruo Katsuragi…"

Meanwhile, as he walks to the library, Rei ponders about what cake he should buy. A mocha cake? Chocolate cake? He knew his father loves mocha cake, but he didn't. He entered the library and noticed a few people inside but stopped when he realized that he hadn't asked Yuu where he was yet, so he decided to pick up his phone from his pocket and call. While wandering in between the bookshelves, he looked around to make sure his cousin was already there. But as he was making his 5th call, he noticed a table near the window.

The window is very unnoticeable as the spot was hidden behind the bookshelves and in the very corner of the library. He can't help but stop and admire the view of their campus field from the window in front of the table. He started to take a step closer before and smirked when he saw a familiar silver-haired sleeping. It was Yuu. He can't blame him, though! Their first period took forever to finish. He was about to walk closer, and he stopped when he saw an irritatingly familiar guy sitting beside him.

'Tsk. Why is he here? Out of all people...' Rei mentally groaned.

He rolled his eyes as he contemplated what he was going to do. He doesn't want to meet the said guy, and he knew that he felt the same. They hate each other, so... why talk, right? Rei could just ignore him. Right? Then after a minute of cursing the guy inside his mind, he decided to finish the situation and get on with it. But when he was about to call his cousin, he stopped when he saw the guy leaning closer to Yuu as he softly brushes a strand of hair out of his face before kissing him on the lips.

'W-Wha---What the fuck?!' Rei gasped internally as he stepped back, hitting a chair which caused a squeaking sound across the room and the guy to hastily stand up.

Both of their eyes widened when their eyes met each other. The other seemed more devastated to see him. The black-haired guy glared at Rei, who was frozen in place and contemplating whether he should run and ignore what he saw. He shivered, struggling to breathe as the air around him became thicker. What... Is this... Pheromone?

"Nakamura..." The black-haired guy1 whispered silently, almost growling.

Gulping nervously, he whispered the guy's name back. "T-Takahashi…"
