Chapter 36

"Any idea what this is Alie?"

"She must have contract with a magical creature!"

Magical creatures are very different from normal monsters. Unlike there lower breather. They have the ability to learn and think. Most of them never interact with humans. But when one does come around it normally ends in bloodshed or draw. Magical creature are naturally drawn to those stronger then them in results in a contract with them. 

Like humans magical creatures are naturally curious of things that interest them. Shiya who clothes turn white and into ice shards. Her eyes were grey and hair as well. Her mana has increased ten fold of what it was and the air was so cold my threat and lungs hurt to breath is was like frost bite.

We won't be able to trap the leader in the castle and they will soon realize some thing is wrong if we keep fighting. "Alie. I might have to take this fight some where else soon."

"But her spell." "She has already set it up. Look, the magic circle is still there." She didn't dispel the circle. She must have thought she could handle us quickly. Her facial expression is some becoming frustrated.

"What do you plan to do?" 

"I have to force her out of this place." Alie thought for a moment and realize the only way out was up into the castle. Shiya attacked us then. She tries to freeze us with ice. I picked up Alie and told her to stay on my back while I dodged her attacks. I was to fast for her spells to catch me.

"Alie. We both might be trapped in her with them! Are you ok with that!" "I course what ever hardships you go through I will be there!" 

"Then do it. I will force her into the castle!" Alie lets go of me so she wouldn't get hurt. I lunged at Shiya while she casted a spell on me. My movement were slower but still inhumanly fast. "Winter Halberd!" 

I dodged lean back and slide to dodge her attack and grabbed her arms. My hands turned slightly white but I still was ablet to through her throw the ceiling. But it did no break. A larger did break but still was more layers of dirt and rock above it.

Shiya levitated in the air to stop herself from hitting the ground. She obviously was dazed. Her power must have given some sort of increase of body resistance. Not regular human would survive that.

"Lets do this." I jump upwards at her. her cube had appeared. But that was what I was hoping for. I'm in beast ascension. Like before my axe could cause an even greater explosion when her spell makes contact with it!

"Aaaah!" Alie coated her surrounding with sheet of mana to defended her self from the explosion. There was no sound at first but a second later a large explosion could be hear through the city and the battlefield.

Everyone was confused by the loud bang. Kane at the time was confused of what he found in the castle. No maids no butlers or anything. At the time of the explosion he was in the throne room believing the princess would be there. He didn't at the time the princess was in the fort right.

When the explosion happen much of inner caved in. Cracks can be seen on the wall and a part of the castle had fallen apart. Alie was trapped with rubble but her sheet of mana protected her. She works on the spell so she can trap us in here.

"Ow...my arms." The explosion had shook my body. I feel sick. Shiya was not moved the rubble on top of her when I got open. "You bastard."

"I'm not going to let you destroy this country. Not when I'm alive." "I have to admit. You may have a lower rank then me. But you have great battle instincts then me. You must have learned a lot in this war."

He's beast-men ranks don't normally matter to them. If I was rank 50 and he a rank 20 it still wouldn't matter because of the unnatural trait beast-men have. His strength can overwhelm mages like me.

I continue the fight by attacking relentlessly at her. She did not use her defensive spell on herself since she knows the result of what happens when she does. "Fallen Pillar!" 

A large pillar tried to crush me into the castle. Mia notice her castle being destroyed an the large pillar of ice sticking out of it. Cairo mention the money of rebuilding the castle that gave Mia a dreaded look.

I was able to hold up the tower before it could bury me into the ground. I slightly life it and punched the middle of its head and shattered it. It then dispelled into small mana particles. Shiya was impressed and scared at the same time.

I could not take break in front of her. I was already feeling fatigued by the intense fight. I have to finish this quickly. Suddenly a man had appeared. His hair was light tan color and light brown eyes. He had golden knights armor with common cloak to hid it.

"Captain!?" This must be there leader. Kane was it? "What is going on. Who are you slave." Sounds about right. "Why does it matter to you." "Huh?"

This the first...a inhuman talking back. "This city has given you a lot of freedon...to much freedom that is."

"You make sound like its a bad thing." I summon my back my axe. since I had to use both my hands to stop the attack from earlier. "Not its not. Because we already control much of the world already." Can't denied that. There are more human kingdoms then there are non.

"Where is her highness? Tell me and I might spare your life." Might spare my life? "That's not really a choice. But no."

"That was just an attempt to make you talk. I thought i would get some thing out of you since your a slave that doesn't seem afraid of us. I already know where since its obvious where she is." He looks behind to see the fort that was about 2.5 miles across the port.

"..." 

"Shall we Shiya." "But sir. This kid is very dangerous to let live. He did all of this. He could become much stronger in the years to come." He looks at me and see a lot of determination and will. "Hm. Your right. I will do the world a favor and eliminate a threat to our society."

What is this feeling. Is this is power? They mention his blessing or gift? But were unsure of what it was or what it does. Kane slowly walks toward me as he was not worried about me attacking him with himself wide open.

"Some thing feels off." I blink in the moment and found him right beside me. He lands a punch with those gloves that seemed to increase their power. But this was very different then Shiya. His attack completely knocked me down to the ground. I was not fast enough to dodge it.

My head was cut open and blood was pour down my face. "Hm. Your not dead?" What was that. It felt like I was hit my mountain and his speed is not normal. "Another should do." Kane starts the feel the power of mana being concentrated with in the rubble. 

"Some one's casting a spell." Shiya had forgotten about the spell she has placed under the castle and warned her leader to leave the area. But before anyone could do anything the prison spell was casted around the castle .

"...Shiya."

"My apologizes! Before I was attacked I had already placed the spell but had not casted it!" Kane closed his eyes in frustration. "My apologizes. Knight captain Kane." 

"I will make sure your punched after this. For right now we can just find the one who cast it and force who ever it was to put down the prison." I immediately got straight when the though of them touching Alie. I took one shot at his abdomen to send into near my rubble. More of the castle started to fall down on him.

Shiya hits me with another shard of spell that froze me. "Captain!" The shard broke by forcing my self to move. She uses her mana to gather a winter storm around me. Hundreds of ice daggers formed around the entire prison. Ever single knife cut me when she lead them toward me. I suffered minor cuts though.

My breath was cold and I was feeling spent. Kane had brushed away the rubble from the top of him.

"Shiya find who ever casted this spell. I will deal with this lowlife." Shiya agreed and tried to leave. I step in front of her stop her but Kane kicks me away. I gain my balance but he did not stop there. He knees in the face. 

I was seeing stars for a second. Kane grabs my arm and slams into the ground. I holds me up like doll. His blessing power must be related to a increase in strength. I grab his arm to spin kick him the face. But he was not fazed by it.

"You have a resilient body your spirit is more impressive mutt." He lifts his leg and steps on my chest. The shock wave broke more of the castle and ground was caving in on its self. Blood was pour from my mouth. I tried to grasp for air.

"Hm." My beast ascension had went away afterward. "You should have known better then to fight your lords mutt. This the rule of the world. Those not made my the light are put away like a fire. Its the natural order of things and how it should be."

"Fuck yourself!"

"Like your mouth I will put away a dirty existence." He steps on my chest pushing my chest in. No! I won't die here! I attempt to life his boot of me but the weight of his shoe was like a mountain. "I can't...die...not yet!"

"...What's the point of it. When the world will be against you?" I yelled trying so hard to lift his shoe. I refused to be put down like this no more! I won't be pathetic like this ever again! My axe! Where's my axe!?

My axe was far away but was near us. My axe was dim as always. Its a symbol of life...but it could give me power. Its a magic weapon. I don't if I can beat this guy but I have give the others enough time to end this.

I take a second to dive into my mana pool. The beast ascension was gone. But my own magic was there. The tree. The cat suddenly appear by grinding against my leg. It sat in front of me to look at me in the eyes.

"...I don't what you are. But I need your help. If you can understand me. Please...guide me. I knows it crazy talking to you. But I have no choice in the matter....How do I use my own power or is this your power?"

The cat stared blankly at me. It gets up and walks toward the tree. It looks back at me for a second. I follow it toward the tree. "You want me to touch it?" The tree had hardly changed. I touch the tree for a second and let go when the entire tree flicker like fire. 

The cat then touched it and it turned from a white color to a blue. The cat then jumped into my body and felt a surge of mana in me. The water around was going crazy. I form a tornado of water around me. I look up and found it really amazing to be in this. It was a wonder to see so much water.

Back in the real world. Kane felt the same surge of mana I felt. My eyes where like glowing star. My eye color was glowing. I subconsciously reached out and my axe flew right into my hand.

Some happen with in the last seconds. His mana is out of control. One step was enough for me to get in front of him. I dodges my axe swing and follows it up with sword. I step back wards to avoid it. 

We have fight weapons for a bit. Kane made a mistake trying to attack me with his sword while I was on the ground. I rolled on to my feet. I swung my axe at his back. It broke right through his armor. But it did not go deep into his flesh. He swipes with the back of his knocking away.

"You piece of shit!" 

Shiya who watching notice her captain was bleeding which surprised very much. "What are you kid?" Water was starting to form around me. the ocean was moving all of a sudden. I feel my mind only thinking of fighting right. I can't control my magic.

"How dare you make a royal like me bleed!" How did he break my skin. My blessing should not have been broken so easily like this. I need more air. 

"Now I know you can bleed." What are you!? "I can kill you right here! I won't ever be put down ever again! Your going to feel a lot of pain imperial!"

My fate has changed. No...I need fate. I can do it my self. "My name is Ivalyo! This will be the last name you remember when you die!"
