The Thieves of Hearts
Mama, I'm scared!" She hugged me tighter while hiding in a dark alley.
"Don't be scared... Mama's here" she said while hugging me then kiss the top of my head.
"Where are you?" the man's creepy voice became visible again, it made my heart beat fast. "Riela..." he called my moms name
"come out, come out where ever you are..." I gulped as his voice became louder and louder it means his near.
"I can find you" he laughs in a scary way "so don't make it difficult for me..." he suddenly shouts that makes me tremble in fear, my Mom is still hugging me.
We can hear his footsteps it means his near us... my tears are flooding, I can't help it.
"Boo!" he removed the carton that is covering us
My mom immediately hid me behind her back "What do you need for us?" mama yelled with shaking voice while walking backward.
"One thing." He smirks "You both... Die!" my heart stopped for a couple of seconds when he points a gun on us.
"Please, let us go." mama plead " You want money? How much? I will give you every single cent on my account just let us go." Mama almost kneels down. But instead of listening, he prepared his gun. I slowly take a big rock that I almost trip on.
"Run mama!" I said after throwing him the rock that hit his eyes. I'm pulling mama away from the bad guy.
"Argh!" I heard the guy scream in pain but I didn't bother to look back.
"Don't mind him, mama, faster."
I suddenly heard a gunshot at the same time mama slowed down, she actually stopped.
"Mama? We have to run." I said while helping her get up, I felt a hot liquid on her back. "Mama?" my tears started to shred again
"Run... Rye!" she's pushing me away from her.
"No... I'm not leaving you here!" I cried more
"NO! Go!" she shouted and blood started coming out from her mouth that makes me tremble.
"No! Were going home together." she kissed my forehead before whispering something,
"Live for me honey, please go!" I don't have any choice. So I ran through the forest while my tears are raining. She told me not to look back so I did.
"I love you!" that was the last word that came out on my mama's mouth.
I cried harder as I thought of everything that happened today.
I heard another gunshot and I can't help but look back. I saw my mama dropping her self on the floor looking at my direction before she shut her eyes.
She's... dead.
I ran as fast as I could, I'm confused about going back to my mama or find someone to help us. My feet are starting to sore, I'm not wearing any foot ware now.
