CHAPTER TWENTY ~Chanel

It's been two weeks since Derek got admitted in the hospital and he still hasn't woken up. I have learnt to deal with the guilt, and hopefully I don't have to make any more slip ups. That brings me to the first secret I have to keep from my mother. Over the years, I have always told her everything, and now, I have to hide this because I am scared of the consequences of her finding out about what I had done. Having dealt with my guilt, every other thing has been going on well. The house is super busy today; the chefs are preparing a hearty meal, the maids are cleaning, and Shiv, my mom and I are waiting for Tobi to arrive. She is finally arriving today, and we have all been anticipating her arrival. It wasn't easy convincing her to move in with us, but we reminded her of how powerful we were and how we could protect each other if we were together not apart.

"She's here." Shiv comes running to us as we hear a car pull up in front of the building. "How do you feel, Nel?"
