Escape from Danger

Then the master disappeared after being surrounded by green mist. In a few seconds, the green mist also dissipated. Now, a familiar feeling came back to me. It was the same feeling I had when my dad left. I was alone again. I looked up and thought of all the new memories I made on the moon. After that, I hopped off the top of the tower. I landed safely at the back of the stadium. The river of stars seemed to be endless.

I took another jump. As I furthered away from the surface of the moon, the gravity weakened and my speed increased. After a few minutes of seemingly endless gliding, I finally reached the river of stars. I was still going towards it at full speed.

The oxygen here was faint as the moon was now pretty far away. I saw a small rock floating toward me. I took a deep breath and used that rock to boost my speed again.

In a few seconds, I was inside the multi-colored beautiful auras of the stars. Then I got a really weird sensation. It was hard to explain. Then there was a very bright glow. I closed my eyes. After a few seconds, the weird sensation was gone.

I opened my eyes. I was lying on the ground surrounded by trees. It looked like a forest. There were many vines. They were neon colored. Was this my destination? I looked around. Then I got up. I walked around.

Suddenly I saw something dark run behind me. I turned around instantly. I heard a weird sound. It was a growl. The growl of a tiger was like a kitten's in comparison to this. I looked around cautiously. Then it came in front of me roaring, running, and terrifyingly. Just what was this creature?

It was huge and grey in color. One could say that it was an elephant without huge ears, a long trunk, and a pair of tusks. It was also at least twice as huge as an elephant, maybe even more. Compared to this creature I was like a complete weakling.

I immediately ran the other way. Surprisingly, it was catching up to me. How was a creature that was several times larger than me faster than me? I kept on galloping through the vines and trees. I seemed to be endless.

There was nothing I could do. I panicked a lot. This was just the beginning of my journey toward the legion and I was already in a life-threatening situation.

I tried to remember anything I could that will help me here. Even though I was a B-rank fighter, I was simply helpless in this situation. Then I remembered something my dad used to say.

If you ever are in a dangerous situation, just think calmly and look around.

Think calmly and look around. I stopped panicking and then looked at my surroundings. I saw that there was a huge tree with many branches ahead of me. It seemed to reach even the clouds. I ran towards it. The first branch was about 250 meters above the ground. I immediately jumped with all my strength.
