Silence. Although beautifully sombre, withholds a very sacred and delicate balance of both truth and tranquility. While some worship this somewhat glorious treasure, this sound of silence, others, torn by their greed and prideful lust, wish to steal this gift for themselves. Those with the power to contain this silence, these poor corrupted souls who were once pure, are blackened and blinded by their hatred of the world, consumed to the very core until there is nothing left but the empty silhouette of something that was once man. Silence makes no sound when it comes in the night to relieve a weeping soul of it’s cries. Silence makes no sound as it slithers and slimes through the cracks of a broken heart to take away the pain. Silence makes no sound.. But what if it did? (Inspiration used from my own interpretation of the song “The Sound Of Silence” by Disturbed, “I Am Legend” by Richard Matheson, and “The Last Of Us” by Naughty Dog)
