Chapter 2

14 years later:

Persephone POV:

"Persephone, wake up princess." my brother Hades tried waking me.

"What's wrong bubba?" I asked curious to why he woke me up so early.

I snuggled into my blanket. "We're going to see Pierre and Andre today! I have some work today but I'll be back soon."

I shot up from my bed getting ready to play with my best friends. Usually I get dropped off at the big house with the guys when Hades has to work. I know that he does things that aren't very nice and I don't like it. I tried to tell him that I can get a job but he says that he has it covered.

About two years ago we escaped that scary place we grew up in. We immediately got out and came here, in other words Queens. Hades doesn't really let me out of the house unless I'm with him, I don't mind though.

I ran to my closet and picked out a baby pink sundress with a white sweater and white sneakers. Hades called me over and sat me in a chair. He picked up my brush and started to brush my dark brown hair gently. "Hades?" he hummed.

"Be careful today. I don't want you to get hurt."

He sighed and kneeled in front of me. "Princess, I promise I won't get hurt. No need to worry, I will be perfectly fine. I need you to stay with Pierre and Andre today. There's going to be a few people visiting the house today. So don't run off."

I nodded my head and put a white headband on. Hades grabbed my hand and started to walk to the car. He opened the silver door to his range rover and closed me in, he walked around and climbed in the drivers side.

After 15 minutes we arrived at the 'Ghost' mansion. I've never been sure why they called it that. We climbed out the door and went inside. I walked into the living room and saw Pierre and Andre drinking coffee and chatting. "PIERRE!" I yelled and jumped on him to give him a hug.

"Hi butterfly! What do you want to do today?" he put me on his back and held me legs around his waist.

"I want to bake cookies! Chocolate chip! No! Peanut butter! NO! BROWNIES!" I took a second to think then nodded my head. I love brownies.

"Little one you didn't give me a hug." Andre whined. I shook out of Pierres tight grip and walked over to him and gave him a big bear hug. I snuggled my face into his side and smelt his refreshing and familiar cologne. Hades then took my hand and kneeled in front of me to be at my level.

"Princess you need to stay with these two all day. Some important people are coming to talk with me and Boss. Don't run off or you'll be in trouble." he looked at Andre and Pierre and said, "Don't even think about taking her eyes off of her. If you do, there will be consequences."

They both visibly gulped and nodded. Hades kissed me forehead "Tell boss I said hi." He nodded and walked downstairs.

Brownie time.

MARCELLO POV:

Today we are going to check in on the Ghost otherwise known as a group of assassins. We haven't had trouble with them in years so didn't feel the need to chat with them until today. We think the boss Remington Devonte has a connection to our twins and are going to scare him to see if he knows anything.

After the twins left everyone fell into some sort of depression and distanced themselves from everything. Immediately after her kidnapping Angelo decided to officially join the mafia as the other boy did as well over the years. We all became ruthless, heartless, dead monsters. People cower away from us when they get just a glimpse. Today we warned the Ghosts that we were on our way.

Angelo, Rocco, Santino, Salvatore, Armando, Alfonso and I all hopped in separate cars and went on our way. Queens was an hour drive from New York City to Queens was about 50 minutes with traffic. Eventually I pulled in to see all the boys already waiting in their cars. I'd have to admit they have a pretty nice mansion over here. I looked at the boys as we all stepped up the stairs with our Armani suits and shoes.

Angelo nodded and took the lead. He knocked on the door and Remington's right hand Apollo answered the door. "Good morning gentlemen. I'll lead you to Boss' office."

We reacting with nothing but a small nod. He led us down the stairs and to large double doors. He knocked and we heard a loud 'come in'. Apollo opened the door to reveal Remington alone. Angelo and I sat in the two chairs as the other boys surrounded on the couches. "What can I help you gentlemen with today." he asked with genuine curiosity.

"I believe that you have some information on the Missing Italian Mafia Twins." I said with a slight scowl.

He then did something that I didn't expect. He laughed. Is this guy suicidal? "Respectfully msn, I didn't even know if that rumor was true. Nevertheless I don't even know their names."

I could tell that the boys were getting livid at his lack of respect. This was no laughing matter. I turned to look at Santino to see him stalking over to Remington. "You need to learn your place." he swung at him as we heard the satisfying crack of Remingtons jaw.

"FUCKING HELL. I DON'T KNOW SHIT. GET OUT" Remington stalked out of the room as we followed. He went upstairs and turned left. Apollo following him. They walked into a large room that looked like a clinic. Apollo turned to us and said, "Please follow me towards the front door."

Immediately we heard a cold voice from the door, "What the hell is going on?"

I turned and looked. He had the signature cold aura and gray eyes. There's no way. Could it be? Apollo then turned the the familiar boy and said, "Hades, you're going to need to take Boss' place in the mission tonight."

Hades?! I turned to look at my sons and they looked shocked. Hades then walked out of the room.
