The Son of Time and the Olympians

Cronus, the Ruler of the Titans and the God of Time, had a vision of how he will come to an end - his own children will go up in arms against him and dethrone him from his seat as the Supreme Being of the Universe. Learning his destiny, he tried to avoid this fate by swallowing his children as soon as they were born. But his 6th child, Zeus, was taken by his wife, Rhea to the island of Crete without him knowing. During the time that Zeus was in hiding, Cronus used Time to his advantage, and caught glimpses of the far, far future – even beyond the Time he will cease to exist. He gained the Ultimate Knowledge of his Rebirth in the Modern Era, and the only one who can help him make it possible is the child of his reincarnated form – The Son of Time. He sent his thoughts to that far, far future, both from the fear that he cannot avoid the destiny he saw, and also in preparation in the unfortunate event that it will actually happen. * The day after his father was buried, Kairo Julius Andreas woke up in a strange place, with strange people, and a totally strange culture. Everywhere he looked, nothing seems familiar to him. He seemed like the only normal person around. Everyone was dressed differently, and there was nothing - nothing at all, that has the slightest bit of modernization in this bizarre place. “Where the hell am I?!” Little did he know, he's in Ancient Greece, and he’s about to change the myths as we know it. * The cover is from Pinterest. Love is Generous

The wild winds raging from the tornado form of Zephyr slowly began to dissipate until he now turned into a pleasant, cold breeze, where Psyche was found sitting comfortably on her way to her husband.

"Which place are we off to? Are you sure that you were sent by my husband to carry me there?" She asked the formless god of the west wind.

"I'll take you to your new home, and soon enough, your husband will be there to visit you."

"Visit? Won't he be staying over?"

"Ah, he's a busy person."

'Busy?' Psyche's doubt about the authenticity of her 'husband' disturbs her more and more now. Coupled by what that odd kid said earlier, she wondered if it's better for her to just stay single.

'Do I really need a man to be happy?' She thought to herself.

The idea of love is such a romantic concept for her. She's curious of how it is to love. Does it bring real joy? Or does all of it just end in vain? Is this only limited to finding a romantic partner? Or there's more to it than meets the eye? Moreover, another puzzling detail keeps on bugging her mind.

Trust your husband. Don't betray him.

'What does he mean by that?' After hearing those words, she further wondered how that young man sounded so sure that she will betray her husband. The more she thought about it, the more her imagination runs wild about what this 'husband' of hers looks like.

After what seemed like an eternity, the wind that was carrying her began to lower its elevation, until finally, she was gently laid by that wind in the pillowy soft grass of what appeared to be a garden of some sorts. When her vision began to adjust from the brightness of her surroundings, she gasped internally at what she saw.

Yes, she landed in a beautiful garden, and a short walk from where she is, there was a house grander than anything she's ever seen before. The house could only belong to a King, there's no doubt about it.

"Please make yourself welcome in your new home, I shall excuse myself." Zephyr, whose lower body appeared to be a mini-tornado, and upper body now forming into a humanoid feature, bowed a little as he told this to her. Then, the god became gone with the wind.

Psyche was still speechless. She walked as if in a daze towards the breathtaking door, encrusted with different jewels too extravagant even for her own preferences. The mansion is screaming wealth in all angles.

Before her hands can turn the knob, the door flew open by itself, and the inside of the house was even more luxurious than it's frontal appearance. The marble was so shiny that Psyche can clearly see her reflection from it. The decors were tastefully done and everything was just too perfect, and too good to be true.

"It's so beautiful." She whispered in awe.

"Welcome, my lady." A voice sounded from somewhere inside the house. "We are your humble servants in your new home here. We are pleased to be at your service. If you need us, just say it, and we will immediately come to you."

"Wh – where is the master of this house?" Psyche answered them. Her curiosity is driving her insane.

"The master is out. He will be back later." The voice responded.

The maiden who got dizzy from all the display before her propped down to the nearest seat available to gather her thoughts. As she turned her head to the side, she noticed that a tray displaying various precious stones and jewels the size of a fist. Psyche was never really into riches, so this expensive display really makes her a bit uncomfortable.

'How can I trust a man without even getting one look at him. I hope he shows himself already.' She thought, before she dozed off to sleep in the comfort of the couch for a few hours. She was awaken by the voice of her invisible servants.

"Milady, it's dinnertime. Please come eat what we have prepared for you."

Psyche got up and went to the dining area of the lavish house. The food looked and tasted sumptuous. "This is very delicious, did you make this?"

"Yes, Milady. We're glad you like it. Only the best shall be served to you, as what our master said."

"The master of this house seems to be the generous type, I see." If not for the fact that she still hasn't seen her husband, Psyche was beginning to like the guy already.

"Of course. He is all for giving gifts, after all."

That statement made her even more curious. "You said I can ask you anything, right?"

"That's right, milady."

"Who is your master? Can you please tell me this?"

There was a short pause, then the servant replied. "We apologize, Milady. But we are forbidden to speak about him. He told us that he'll be the one to tell you all about him. Please be patient with him."

Psyche sighed, then continued eating her dinner.

Gulf of Corinth

"Hey Sayo, it's the guy from before!" Tobias pointed at the stranger as he said this to Sayo, who only nodded in response.

"This one shoots solar powers?" Rexis asked.

"No, that guy's different. This person is the one who came into his rescue."

The bored-looking guy yawned at their conversation, before saying, "You done, now? And just to correct you, Adam has the powers of the sun, and he shoots those 'solar spheres' as you call it, but it's just basically photons like Captain Marvel's powers. Now where were we? Oh, yeah. Who's the Son of Time, again?"

Back in their modern world, if Julius met this guy under normal circumstances, he would have made friends with him because of his cultured taste and they also share the same interest in nerd shit. Sadly, he can rule out the possibility of that one now. This guy is with the enemy, and because of his interruption, Psyche was taken by Zephyr away from them.

It appears that no one from his party wants to chug him out, so they never answered who the 'Son of Time' is. However, Julius knows sooner or later that he'll find out that it's him.

"Who are you?" Julius asked him.

"Name's Carl. Not the girl, obviously, and the kid with the chiton. It's just between the two of you." He fixed his gaze at Julius and Rexis. "And it seems you won't make my life easier, so I gotta do this the hard way. Apologies in advance."

When the man began to advance, Sayo equipped her armor and weapons. Julius put his hand on his back, ready to summon his stolen gladius from his inventory at a moment's notice, Rexis clenched his fists, and Tobias silently prayed that he'll be able to pull off the same amazing magic he did before.

To their shock, the guy squatted in the ground, pulled out a little knife, wounded his thumb and connected it to the ground. "Klisi: Cetus."

'Summoning, Cetus?' Julius interpreted what he heard the stranger say.

From his back, loud, raging waves of water from the Gulf of Corinth can be heard, and after a few moments, a giant dragon-like fish jumped to show its full glory to them.

[The Cetus is an Ancient Greek sea monster, with the appearance of a giant dragon fish, capable of swallowing five persons in one go. Other references say that it looks like a whale, but the dragon fish sounds cooler]

"Meet my Cetus, the dragonfish sea monster." He stood up from his position and resumed a fighting stance. "Cetus, use hydro pump!"

'The hell? Is this guy a Pokemon trainer?' Julius thought as a huge blast of water came out from the Cetus with them as its targets.

"How are we supposed to fight that thing?!" Rexis yelled.

"Just attack like your lives depend on it!" Sayo went ahead and threw one of her swords at the monster, who easily flicked it away using it's scaly tail. Up close, the scales were hard like armor itself. So simple swords won't really work on this thing. Sayo gritted her teeth after seeing that. She called for her sword to return to her to rethink their strategy.

"Which mythology story did this thing appear, huh?" She looked at Julius for answers.

"This monster appeared in the later myth of Perseus, far from this era. He defeated it by turning it to stone!" Julius replied.

"So how the heck can we defeat that? We don't have anything to petrify it!" Rexis exclaimed.

"Then we cook it, use your brain Rexis!" Sayo spat at him, and she looked at his fists that were already beginning to catch some fire.

"Hell, yeah." Julius turned to the man, who was just watching them, now looking quite amused. "Oi, you!" He pointed at him. "You're not the only Pokemon trainer around!"

Carl was confused with that statement, but Julius made it clear when he said, "Rexis, use Fire Blast!"

'Dude, WTF? You use fire-type against water-type? You nuts?' But Rexis did it, nonetheless, and he shoot a huge ball of fire aimed at the Cetus.

With an upward motion of Carl's hand, a wall of water appeared in front of the Cetus, thereby extinguishing the fire. "Oh - a fire-user? Are you a Mythos too? Which Titan are you?"

Sorry for this late release, I've been out on a little vacation somewhere far from modern civilization where access to the worldwide web is scarce. But I'm back now, and I hope to hear your thoughts about the chapter below!
