When you here of gods of Greek what comes on your mind? I know you'll think of myths and legends or fork tales of Greeks but you'd be surprised if I told you they were real and you'd think I was going banana but it's true and is a story of someone I knew ones who how do I say it I don't know if his a god or demigod am still not sure . This tale begins in the state of New York on a sinister blood moon night it was raining heavenly and thunder was rumbling as if Zeus knew himself the danger that had just entered the world.Under the sinister blood moon a child was born and the moon stood a witness of the child who held the world's fate in the palm of his hand . He was born at home his grandmother as his midwife ,"I shall name him Kona for he is my strength and my weakness ,"his mother said as she held her in her arm . The child grew up normal but something was different with him not only was he intellectually smart for his age but he never had any illness or futal injuries even when he fell or had fatal accident as he grew something that was peculiar to many except his grandmother who seemed to know what was going on with him. It was in May during the summer holidays when everything begun changing in Kona's life he was going to turn sixteen soon that day when he came home he found a strange man talking to his grandmother and his mother was in her room crying ."What's wrong mum ?Why are you crying mum?"Kona asked his mother ."Your grandmother wants you to go with him ,and leave me ."his mother spoke at her peak of melancholy."Kona come here with your mother here we want to talk with the two of you !"his grand mum called to them ."It's okay mum there must be a reason for this let's go and see what she has to say grandma is wise and she knows whats good for us all ,"Kona said, this made his mother realise how grown a man his son had become ,he had begun speaking like the man of the house ever since he had realised the absence of a father figure in his life not only did he speak but also acted like the the man of the house . In the living room his grand mother begun to speak ," I believe in you Kona and as a man it won't be had to digest what am about to tell you so listen .You've had about gods of Greek well am here to tell you that they aren't myths and you are but one of they're demihuman children and it is time to tell you the truth ,we don't know who your father is since your mother was drunk the day they met but as per now you're not safe with as so we are sending you to stay with the other demigods in the DMD phantom island there your father will reveal himself to you and you'll be safe ." All this was too much for him to take the world begun spinning and then all went blank ,the next thing he knew was that he was in some kind of flying chariot and then he blanked out again and finally when he gained his conciousness he found himself in a room covered with linen on its walls the bed he was on was made of a very soft material,he still felt alittle fuzzy,he looked around and saw a lady who was not so human as he was green and has leaves instead of hair,"How are you Kona you sure got gut I'll tell you that most new comers freak out when they see me ,ow!excuse my manners am Aphilia an nymph and your nurse ."the lady spoke all this while Kona was quite and still like a statue trying to recall what he was missing then with a sharp pain as if he had head-on collision with the memory the words of his mom before he fell fully unconscious,"Don't ever forget that I love you son....."as he remembered this a surge of emotions filled him and he bursted out like a lost two year old ,"Where's my mother ?I want my mother !"he demanded as he went out of the nursing room he shouted and the nymph went to call the man who had brought him . As he called out with rage a huge earthquake shook the island.At that point he felt so much rage that he would have eaten the whole island if he could. CHAPTER 8

Claire who had been watching for a while ,decided to intervene she found Kona after lunch before heading for combat lessons, who as always was busy watching from a far Cleo and admiring her existence ," Hey Kona wach you doing?"she asked snapping him out of his revery ,.."me.....ow nothing"he says after sometime ," stop lying,....I know you were looking at her ,go and tell her you like her don't hesitate that what it means to be a man....am sure she won't turn you down,"she says pushing him in Cleo's direction,he hesitates but then makes up his mind .As he leaves Claire murmurs to herself ,"she is so lucky , but his dumb does he know how many will do anything to be close to him ,.....I wish Athena could share her knowledge with him so that he would see those who dream of the day to be next to him and call him their's ".

He comes close to Cleo but the courage that he had mastered quickly becomes a mirage in the desert when she looks at him with her blue piercing gaze ,she rans off again but this makes him so helpless that he skips lessons for that day and heads to the forest in the island ,he stays there a feeling of shame and hopelessness filling him for his unmanly behavior.

He moves around observing the strange creatures that roamed the forest , he even got a chance to spot some wild Pegasus (horses with wings) which flew of immediately they felt his presence, he even met alot of forest nymphs like their nurse but they all hide as soon as he got into their territory, his tour around the forest helped him get over the emotional storm .

He met a talking horse whose name was Arion who was alittle more friendlier than the other creatures but he told him something that shocked him before he left ,"one little advice before you go try and control your auro of power for it's what making many fear you unlike humans and gods us creatures that came directly from Celestial power can sense your titanic power so try to control ,".

That day he felt more shocked than he had ever been in his life , since he had seen himself powerless and people like Andrew had made sure it stayed that way , since as a son of Apollo's he was expected to wield fire but he couldn't, something that was so emotional damaging since the others could even Andrew as a son of Zeus could wield lightening, Son's of Zeus such as Ivan could speak to horsesand other sea creatures, could wield water and could heal just by touching water and finally could feel the salt of the sea but as for him that was a thing of the past since he couldn't even feel the flame of my father burn in me ,thus during the specifications lessons when everyone learnt about their parents and what is expected of them he went to the history class where he got to learn about the origins of the gods and legends surrounding them something that he ones thought to be myths truth be told who in his right twenty first century mind would think of Greek gods as true entities in existence.

After the male talk , I wouldn't call it man talk with Arion he mastered his courage and went to find Cleo , since it was unmanly to be direct , he went to her and asked her to take a walk with him , since he wanted to show her something he had discovered something she immediately agreed to .

The went into the forest which many avoided , he took him around as a competent tour guide he even introduced her to Arion who was quick to score the guy some points with some great lines of a skilled playboy . He took her to a spot on the mountains that were the islands greatest landmark . Their own the cliffs of the mountain he had found a strange nest like structure which Cleo was quick to explain to be a phoenix nest , the great but extinct bird of fire .

The spot was perfect for viewing the island and the ocean during sunset, they stayed their til sunset and watched the sun touch the ocean ,"Isn't it beautiful?" Cleo asked ,Kona looked towards her and finally after some silence he replied,"it is but nothing compared to your beauty, and am sure it is jealous to have you watch it and behold it with your unparalleled beauty," Cleo smiled and looked away , for a while they were silent but then Kona who had envoked all his ancestral courage said with overwhelming emotion which was evident in his tone ,"from the day you stepped foot on this island you shocked me with your beauty, not even your mother can be compared to you , you made my heart skip a beat when I first laid my eyes on you ,...."as he talked his hands involuntary held hers and his right hand gently touched her smooth innocent face afraid it would melt away ," you made me vulnerable, you've become the center of my existence and the reason for fighting to survive everyday, you brought into me a feeling that I never knew existed in me at first I tried to fight it but it's become more and more fatal since I've been fighting myself and I relised I couldn't hold it in me anymore that's why I want you to know even if you deny ,or don't reciprocate I'll know i tried , Cleoptile I want you to know from the depth of my soul that I love you with all my being , my heart is yours ," when he finished he felt as if a hand that had held his throat suffocating him had realised him and he could finally breath fresh air ones more .

This was overwhelming for Cleo ,he look at the man who had stolen her immortal heart and for the first time in his life was speechless as she looked to the eager youthful face all she could do was cry , tears rolled down her face uncontrollably. Kona's masculinity took control he took her and held her to his chest , for long she stayed still afraid that if she moved the moment would turn into a dream and she would have to wake up from it .

After some time just as the last rays of the sun were about to touch the sea she lifted her head without warning. Kona who was still enjoying the moment felt her tend lips on his as she gave him a deep kiss , he felt the strawberry in her lips and for sometime wished the moment would last for eternity,they kissed on the last rays of the sun.

Kona cursed the suppertime bell that day , finally she let go of his lips and with an emotional voice said gently,"I love you too Kona."
