After the call, Lance hung up and then turned around to be startled by Lily who was standing a few feet behind him.

"How long have you been standing there?" Lance quickly recovered and asked.

"As soon as I saw you stand up from your seat, I followed you. I knew you were going to call my sister-in-law. So, technically I've been standing here since you made the call."

Lance was taken aback. She's been standing there for a long time. Did she hear everything he said from the beginning till the end?

"So, what happened?" Lily took another step then asked Lance with knitted brows.

Lance sighed. "Chairman John announced their marriage at the Foundation Gala. It was the decision of your father and J's father."
