1 The Truth Untold

Seoul, 2013

Sohye wrote something on her book with great concentration. Her seat in the corner of the class makes her isolated from her other friends. Several times she fixed the position of her sagging glasses and didn't hear her friends call her.

"Yaa~ Sohye-ah!" Call Jiwon, her friend.

"That girl! Busy with her own fantasies!" Chirped Sejong. She chewed gum and stared flatly at the corner of the classroom.

"What's she doing?" Chaeri asked.

"As usual. She's writing fanfiction like a crazy girl." Sejong replied.

"This time who? Song Joong Ki? Or.. Gong Yoo? " Jiwon asked.

Sejong sighed for a moment, then replied," Jieun Sunbae."

They were surprised by Sejong's flat answer. Chaeri and Jiwon looked back at Sohye who was still busy with her fanfiction.

"Why Jieun Sunbae?" Chaeri asked.

"She really likes Jieun Sunbae since the incident she fell in front of the class and Jieun sunbae helped her. She's been a very loyal fangirl ever since. " Answer Sejong who knows Sohye the best.

"What? Just because of that? I've helped her many times but she never made fanfiction about me." Chaeri protests. "Ya~ Sohye! Are you gay?!"

This time Sohye turned her head because she heard Chaeri's nonsense question.

"If there is a male version of Jieun Sunbaenim, I will marry him." Sohye answered, then she returned to focus on her writing.

"She's crazy, she's gone crazy.." said Sejong.

"Hey! Isn't Jieun Sunbae really compatible with Taehyung Sunbae?" Jiwon opened the initial chat about Jieun. And she looks smiling talking about it.

"Me too! Me too! " Sejong answered, no less excited. "Every time I see them interact it makes me smile. I also want boy attention like Taehyung Sunbae to Jieun Sunbae!"

"Aren't the two of them already dating?" Chaeri asked.

"Looks like they're too busy now since they're Gosam." Sejong replied.

"If they graduate and study in the same place they will become a cute Campus Couple!" Jiwon said and Sejong responded with enthusiasm. Finally, they both shouted to imagine the future of Jieun and Taehyung in one year.

Chaeri looked at her two friends while shaking her head. "Aigoo, you guys are no different from Sohye."

"What are you talking about?" Sohye suddenly appeared when she saw the excited Sejong and Jiwon while mentioning Jieun's name. She sat in front of Sejong and looked at them with curious eyes.

"They're talking about your Jieun Sunbae and Taehyung Sunbae." Chaeri replied.

"What's with the two of them?" Sohye didn't seem to know.

She had never seen Jieun and Taehyung interact sweetly before. In addition, she doesn't know too much about Taehyung even though the boy is famous at school and many girls mention his name. Her friends even said that Taehyung could become an idol if someone from a music agency passed him on the street.

"You really idolize Jieun Sunbae? How could you not know this rumor. " Sejong said.

"Do they like each other?" Asked Sohye.

"Yes. And I'm surprised why you don't know this."

Sohye frowned and adjusted her glasses.

"I don't think so." She said softly while remembering whether Jieun and Taehyung's interaction was so special. She had seen Jieun talk to Taehyung, but she never thought that the two of them liked each other.

Sejong, Jiwon, and Chaeri also got together again without Sohye in front of the class while chatting. They leave Sohye in class with her busy life. They didn't care what else Sohye was writing.

Chaeri heard a commotion in the field and turned around to look down. She gaped at the scene before her and was immediately excited. "Yaa, yaa!!" Her exclamation made Sejong and Jiwon turn around too.

Jiwon, who gaped at the sight of the crowd below, immediately ran into the classroom to call Sohye, whowas asleep. Sohye gasped as soon as her name was called. The people inside also ran outside the classroom. Jiwon dragged Sohye who was still sleepy. The skin under her eyes even looks black because she finds it difficult to fall asleep at night once she finds inspiration to write about.

"Jieun-ah.."

Taehyung held out a bouquet of flowers in front of Jieun. Taehyung smiled sweetly at Jieun who was standing in front of him. Jieun glared at him. She looked at Taehyung and understood what he was doing right now.

"You want to accept my feelings?" Taehyung asked in a deep voice. Instantly people who saw them screamed, exasperated by Taehyung's confession, which some of them were waiting for.

Jieun looked around him. She chose to stare at the people there. She didn't dare look at Taehyung. Her heart was beating fast and her face was flushed red. The people around her looked back hopefully. Most of those who are excited are women than men.

"Jieun-ah.." Taehyung called softly, he looked at Jieun who looked confused.

"Sorry?" Jieun looked straight back into Taehyung's eyes. With hesitation but still blushing, Jieun nodded slowly. "Mmm." She just muttered.

"Really?!" Taehyung looked incredulous. He looks happy. He didn't stop gaping.

"Yes.." Jieun firmly.

Taehyung smiled happily with his lips showing his teeth so that his lips looked like a box, Taehyung's very distinctive happy expression. He then thanked Jieun while holding her hands. While the people around them also looked excited by clapping their hands. Taehyung's friends who are also famous at school exclaim their enthusiasm for Taehyung. Taehyung glanced at his friends, especially Jimin who was closest to him and helped him make a plan to confess his love for Jieun.

Jieun looked down at her hands were being held by Taehyung. She saw the bouquet of pink flowers that was still in Taehyung's hand intertwined with hers. She smiled faintly, then looked back at Taehyung who was still looking at him happily.

Sohye walked in the corridor near her class daydreaming. Her forehead creased, and she kept thinking about things she shouldn't think about. She's still thinking about the incident this afternoon when Taehyung confessed to Jieun and Jieun accepted it. She knew that she shouldn't think about it because she wasn't involved at all in their relationship. And she knew that she was not close to either of them. Not close and can't. Because both of them are hits students who are known to everyone at school. Jieun with her intelligence and Taehyung with his good looks. She felt that she did not fit in with the two people like the king and queen at the school. However she still doubted whether the two really liked each other.

"Yaa!"

Sohye was surprised by Chaeri and Sejong's presence.

"What are you thinking?" Sejong asked as she embraced her.

"Yaa, you almost hit the post." Chaeri said.

"I thought about the incident this afternoon with Jieun Sunbaenim."

Sejong suddenly stopped walking and Sohye and Chaeri also stopped their steps. She also let go of her embrace and looked at Sohye's face seriously. "Seeing the expression on your face like this.. are you sure you're not gay?!" Sejong shouted loudly at the end of the sentence.

"Are you crazy?!" Said Sohye. Chaeri covered Sejong's mouth.

"Not like that. It's just that I... Ah never mind! " Sohye undoed her words.

"Just say it!" Both of them asked Sohye to express her thoughts so that the wrinkles on her forehead disappeared.

"Are the two of them really dating now?" Asked Sohye suddenly.

"Of course! You've seen them. Do you think they are pretending to be dating and are signing contracts like in dramas?" Sejong babbled. She's really excited about Sohye now.

"What's with the rabbit key chain?" Chaeri and Sejong asked at the same time. The two of them stared at each other and smiled teasingly at each other. And a second later she looked back at Sohye seriously.

"Nothing! I'm just being ignorant! Now I feel that I don't know Jieun Sunbaenim completely."

"Right! You're just disappointed that you didn't know the relationship between the two beforehand." Chaeri said.

Sohye was silent in her place confirming the words of her two friends. She feels exaggerated by her wild thoughts and feels pretentious about Jieun's life. She wasn't even close to her.

Sohye heard Taehyung's deep voice and realized that it seemed like Taehyung and Jieun were still there. I don't know what makes Sohye have hiding behind the wall. Her evil intention is to overhear the conversation of the two people who are dating. But on the other hand she felt sorry why she had to hide like that.

"Let's go home together." Taehyung said softly.

"I won't!" Jieun said sarcastically.

"Jieun-ah.." Taehyung was surprised by what Jieun said. In addition, Jieun's face was very different when she received his feelings on the field this afternoon. "What's wrong?"

"Yaa~" Jieun looked at Taehyung with an intimidating face. "I don't like you."

Taehyung was surprised by Jieun's sudden words. Jieun is like a different person from the previous Jieun. "What?"

"I have to tell you this now before you start going any further. You should know, I don't like you. I accept you because I still have the heart not to embarrass you in front of everyone."

"I said I accepted you because there were many people and I didn't want to embarrass you. I saved your good reputation at school. However I don't want people to laugh at you if I reject you. Therefore I pretended to accept you."

"You're kidding.." Taehyung's face changed. His eyes turned red and he smiled sarcastically, not staring at Jieun's cynical face.

His heart was devastated that second. Didn't expect the girl who had smiled sweetly at him and accepted his feelings earlier to put him in a nightmare.

"I'm willing to pretend to be your boyfriend in front of people at school. But I don't want to date you for real. At first I was happy to be friends with you, but the closer you get to me, I feel uncomfortable with you. And I don't want to have a special relationship with you."

"You should have rejected me from the start. You-" Taehyung lowered his face when he felt his tears coming out. He didn't want to show Jieun his hurt. He had beautiful dreams and nightmares on the same day. And feels that his nightmare will last for a very long time.

Taehyung looked down again, deep in his heartache while listening to Jieun who kept explaining that as long as there were people around, he could pretend to be Jieun's girlfriend. Then emphasized that everything was just pretending and Taehyung shouldn't be close to Jieun if no one knew about their relationship.

Sohye gaped behind the wall. She was surprised at what Jieun said and without seeing him at that time Taehyung must have been very hurt and even cried. She doesn't expect the sunbae she really likes to say that to the boy who likes her. She knows the story more than she wants. In the same day she learned all the stories she had never expected.

Sohye then walked slowly down the stairs so that Jieun and Taehyung wouldn't hear her. She wanted to go home immediately and continue her surprise at home. She changed Jieun's entire story scenario in her head into a sad story with a new role.

Jimin threw himself on the sofa in front of Taehyung's bed. He was surprised when he heard Taehyung's words. Even though he came to Taehyung's house to congratulate him and ask Taehyung for a treat, he couldn't think that Jieun would do something cruel to Taehyung.

"I can't believe Jieun actually said that." Said Jimin. He looked at Taehyung who kept looking down. Taehyung looks messed up. He knows that his best friend really likes Jieun.

He regretted himself constantly urging Taehyung to confess his feelings to Jieun, especially in front of many people. If that didn't happen, maybe Taehyung wouldn't know that Jieun didn't like him. Even without a clear relationship, if it's like this it feels like being good friends is enough. Jimin was very shocked when Taehyung said that Jieun was uncomfortable with him.

"I don't think I want to see him again." Finally Taehyung made a voice.

"Taehyung-ah. I've never been in your position, but I know how devastated you feel right now. But I don't want to see you despair."
