1 A Beginning

It was a clear day in Dallas, Texas and a boy was sleeping in the grass near his high school. He was skipping school,but he didn't really care. He was smart and knew that most the classes were useless in life,so he only paid attention in the useful or fun ones. He had very few friends and loved being with them. They were one of his few motivations to get up and go to school.

As he was laying there, he was in deep thought about his future he couldn't see at all happening. While he was lost in his thoughts, one of his friends had snuck out of school during lunch to talk to him. She was his only female friend and was the strongest and boldest person he knew of. She was even smarter than his dense self.

As she neared to him, she had to suppress her giggles since he hadn't noticed her yet. She was almost above him, looking down on his clam,sleeping face. She wanted to watch his face a bit longer but knew her purpose in coming here was of more important. She then pulled out her phone and played some dubstep into his ears since he hated most of the existing songs. He almost immediately went for the source of the song and missed his target since his ear-rapping attacker had yelped and jumped away quickly from the sudden attack toward her phone.

"Alina, why did you disturb my slumber?"The boy asked out of annoyance.

"I came to drag you back to school, Samuel, Mr. Coler was looking for you again."Alina replied in a worried yet proud voice for her earlier boldness.

"*Sigh* I guess you wanted me to get him off your back since he can't handle my behavior,but still has the balls to mess with the strongest maybe smartest girl in town? ... I don't understand why you don't cause more trouble while I'm gone." Samuel said then yawned wanting to sleep again.

"That's because causing trouble isn't as fun or easy if you aren't around to watch me cause it!" Alina yelled at him.

He gave up trying to argue with her and just snuck back into the high schools with her. They luckily had all their classes together but Samuel still didn't see or hear from his friends a lot, well except for Alina. They had been friends since, well forever they were both born June of 2002, but Samuel was on the 1st day and Alina the 26th. He was the older and slightly more mature one. He looked well for his age and was about 6'3 ft tall with red and blue hair and matching color eyes. He wasn't a muscular guy but he had a above average body. Alina on the other hand was at 5'7 ft tall and had sliver hair with bits of purple on the edges. She had a naturally strong body with her lean yet beautiful build.

Samuel was the taller one, but he found it a problem to get through some doors and wanted to be shorter. Alina both hated and liked the fact he was taller. She hated it since she had to look up to see his eye candy looking face, but she like it since he was dense and would forget where she was while walking. He was a walking land mark compared to any of the students at the high school. Most student were 5'5 ft tall male and female alike, rarely anyone made it taller than this. The other thing she like about his height was she was able to climb on him and he was strong to let her from most of the day.

Samuel was a odd one when it came to his physical body. He had enough strength to carry Alina for most of the day(even though she is more clinging to him than him carrying her) and has enough stamina to sprint 100 laps around the track before getting tried. Sadly he only knew this since he was bribe by Alina to do it once and fell for more than one of her traps.

{Author's note:Sorry for taking forever to get the story into play, I was half-asleep and just kept writing that came to mind.}

Back to present from another deep thought of Samuel.

Alina and Samuel stood in front of Mr. Coler and he was looked upset, but this time he didn't cause the duo a problem this time."I need you two to come to my office for a talk about your school year." Mr. Coler said announcing his intent vaguely.

"I don't see a problem so far ,but I don't trust what you say."Samuel said with obvious hostility. Alina stood there confused about the sudden change of atmosphere of her friend. They started to walk to the main office at the front of the school, when suddenly the speaker system came on with an announcement about a person breaking into the school from a nearby prison. The group quickly ran to the nearest door that led to a old, empty classroom. They quickly hid out of sight and were ready for any random banging at the door. The speaker then came on again announcing that it was two people with a gun and bat. The announcement didn't say anything other then their weapons and numbers.

"Well I don't think anything will happen since the police will arrive to stop this madness."Samuel said as he got into a hidden spot to sleep.

"Sam, I don't think this a good time for your naps." Alina said with a mixed expression of worry and annoyance.

Mr. Coler was clam and didn't seem to actually care about the intruder. He was smiling but the high schoolers couldn't see this. He slowly pulled a pistol from his pocket and aimed it at Samuel and Alina. Samuel looked up to see this and didn't show any immediately reaction. He quickly thought about odd request to come to Coler's office. He got angry about the scheme that he almost walked into and grabbed a chair and threw after getting up. Coler shot his gun from the sudden movement and attack aim at him. A shout of pain escaped Sam's mouth, since the bullet hit his right arm. Alina quickly realized what happened and why after seeing the gun in Coler's hand; she ran at him with a desk in hand as a shield. She rammed him with the desk and manged to knock him out after that charge.

"I think I got him." Alina said unaware of Sam's injury.

"Y..yeah you got him." Samuel confirmed and grabbed the gun from the ground to disarm him.

"Let's tie him up, we need to look for the other attacker since we now have a weapon." Samuel stated his bold plan. Alina smiled at his plan but felt a bad feeling about it. They walked out looking around to see nothing there,so Samuel look around the corner to see a metal bat swing for his face with two figures there. He was knocked back with much pain in his face. He then shot his gun at one of the figures to hear a shout of pain from it, a weapon dropping and a body hitting the floor. He then felt some pain in his chest, than something warm flowing down his shirt. It was blood, he traded shots with the intruder. He fell to the ground with the gun aim at the other intruders leg and missed.

"SAM!!" Alina yelled. She quickly took the gun from his weak hand and shot the convict in the chest, left leg and right arm. She held her friend's head hoping he would make it.

"Well I guess that I get to sleep for a while." Sam said but received tears falling on his face. He wasn't surprise that she was crying ,but he was happy he met his friends.

As he drifted to the darkness and slowly closed his eyes. Alina kept his head in her arms and cried until someone arrived to her holding her now dead friend. A report of the incident was shown on the News and reported 5 dead and 2 injured. Funerals were held and Samuel was praised a hero for killing one and rooting out a killer amounts the teachers.
