Chapter 3: Welcome to The Unknown World

The standing man could only scrunch up his face, revealing all the veins in his face. He felt humiliated by the king's statement, for it was probably the first time he had ever felt so humiliated. He wondered in what era the "king" was born to order someone to become his slave.

The man standing there swung his hand in the king's face. He didn't care if the person in front of him was a real king or just someone playing around with the word "king".

However, when the man's fist was right in front of the king's face, the air pressure in the room suddenly became so thick that some people even felt short of breath.

Moreover, the man's hand remained in front of the king's face without touching it,

"Heavy..." the standing man muttered.

Eventually, his hand fell onto the glass floor, shattering it. He groaned in pain as his hand hit the floor with great force. But it didn't stop there, his eyes were wide open, almost out of his head, as he saw his hand, which had fallen to the floor, bent limply in the opposite direction,

"M-My hand... My hand is broken!" He screamed at the top of his lungs. The look on his face changed to one of fear, which eventually led to sweat and was accompanied by his tears, which began to stream down his frightened face.

Tendou, on the other hand, was completely silent. Not because of the king's statement or the fact that the person's hand was broken without touching the king. Instead, he was confused and thought, 'From what I saw through the window, this world seems to be very different. Even though only a glimps, but the building, the atmosphere, and even the nature seem different, but... why is he speaking the same language as us?'

Seemingly done with one person, the king then looked at the other person, Tendou, who was deep in thought. "What about you, do you want to meet the same fate as that poor creature? You know that if you refuse to be enslaved by me, you will be finished, right?"

Tendou understood that refusal was not an option, and to see how easily he broke someone's hands was a sign that he was no match for the king himself.

"Tell me, where is this place and how can you speak our language?"

The king was surprised that someone cornered like a prey being hunted by a predator could ask such an intelligent question. The king's smile appeared, "You are quite sharp. But let me make it clear that we do not speak your language, young man. You are the one who understands our language."

Tendou was the one who understood their language? Did this make any sense? Tendou was someone who had just been summoned from another world, and it was his first time in this world.

And instead, it would be more logical for the king to have an understanding of the language of his summonee, since it was possible that he had already observed their world.

But it turned out that Tendou's assumption was wrong: "You understand our words because of this magic circle. Inside this circle, we can interact with the person we summoned and make them understand our language, even though we know that you speak the language of your own world".

What the king was talking about was not something that common sense could accept. Who are the people who use magic in the advanced century? Magic was a power or trick that was widely used in previous centuries, but for the century that Tendou lived in, they would not find many people who could perform magic.

But it was not Tendou's place to doubt the king. Looking at the circle below him, as well as what the king had done, such as summoning him from another world or breaking someone's hand without even touching it...

"What if I refuse?" Tendou fearlessly asked such a terrifying question, despite knowing he was not in a safe place.

And of course, he knew that the royal guards would not remain silent if Tendou did something. Just like when Tendou had asked the holy question, all the royal guards approached Tendou and pointed their spears at Tendou's neck.

"You don't have the option of refusal..." One of the royal guards said.

Tendou knew that he was being pushed around by an extraordinary human who was much stronger than he was. But for some reason, he stood up straight without any expression of fear. His face remained flat and not once did his body tremble.

The bodyguards tried to corner Tendou by slowly bringing their spears closer so that they touched Tendou's neck. But still, Tendou felt no fear at all, and it was probably because he had been on the verge of death himself that he could no longer feel that human expression.

But it was the king himself who calmed the situation. "So you decided to refuse me, slave 1?" He walked past the few guards who had gathered around Tendou and lowered their weapons.

Even the king himself had labeled Tendou with a nickname, which made it even more impossible for Tendou to refuse him. He knew that the king would definitely do something to him if Tendou refused to be his slave, because he could feel the deadly atmosphere surrounding the king.

Tendou let out a long sigh as he looked directly into the king's eyes, "Very well. I understand."

As soon as Tendou 'reluctantly' accepted the king's coercion, the king raised his hand to make Tendou step back slowly. He thought the king would do something to him, but he did not...

"What about your answer, slave 2?"

Obviously, the king knew that the man wanted to leave the room even with his broken hand. He took the opportunity when all the royal guards and the king himself were focused on Tendou.

But he couldn't...

Because once again... His body got slammed to the ground after he felt pressure all over his body, his mouth was bleeding and some parts of his body were injured after being knocked down.

The king approached the person he called Slave 2.

And when he was right in front of the body lying on the ground, the king lowered his body and put his hand on the body.

"You never give up. I like you. State your name, Slave 2."

Slave 2 could only groan in pain but he knew that he had to answer if he didn't want to be hurt again by the king. "Kyosuke..."

The king smiled with satisfaction at Slave 2's answer. Then he turned and looked at Tendou, "What about you, slave 1?"

"Tendou." He replied firmly.

After the king had finished his part of the conversation, he stood up straight and elegant. And looking at the way he moved and acted, Tendou did not wonder why he was made king, because he looked charismatic, firm and strong. If there was someone with such characteristics, he was definitely a strong candidate to become king.

"Slave 1: Tendou. And slave 2: Kyosuke. Did you all hear that? From today, both of them will be my slaves, so remember them well."

"Roger that!" The unequivocal and simultaneous response echoed through the room.

The ritual was over and all the guards were dismissed from the room by the king, but there were some guards who approached the king, "Your Majesty, what about Heda?"

The king turned around and didn't care about Heda at all. He put his robe and cloak back on before leaving the room, "Heda is a traitor. It is obvious from the magic he learned in the land of Magia. You know there is no magic in this land, right?"

"We already know that he is a traitor, what we want to ask is what to do with this body?"

The king smiled viciously, "Send the body to the Bullseye Palace! It is only in their country that the people have access to all kinds of knowledge, including magic. Even though it is almost forbidden in this world. And the land of Magia itself was there".

Tendou listened to the conversation and wondered. If magic was indeed forbidden in this world, then how did the king break the hand of Slave 2 so easily? This question kept ringing in Tendou's head.

"Lord Meika. May I leave now?" A person with white hair behind the king spoke directly to the king. Meika Zuvarist Ilion was the name of the king. With fiery red hair and a dashing body, the fiery red pupils characterized him as a firm and strong figure, a reliable leader.

"Heal slave 2 first, Jun. Don't forget your duty."

And the representative of the king himself, Jun Zuvarist Ilion. They had the same name, but they were not family, it was just that whoever they chose as the king's direct subordinate would be adopted and take the king's name himself.

Letting out a long sigh, the tall man with a look in his eyes that seemed to indicate that he did not want to do much work and wanted to go home quickly, walked over to Slave 2 and placed his palm on Slave 2's head.

A green colored aura began to surround Jun. He closed his eyes to concentrate on using his power,

"As he said that, particles of the green aura flowed towards Slave 2. With Tendou's own eyes, he saw that the hand that was originally limp and bent in the opposite direction became straight again, his body that was full of wounds became smooth again, and his body looked healthy.

Slave 2, who originally moaned in pain, began to open his eyes and was shocked to see that his hand was back to normal.

However, his hands were still shaking, so he could not stand with the support of his own hands and needed the help of others. So Slave 1 went over and helped Slave 2 get up.

But even though he was helping him, Slave 1 was thinking of something else. If this isn't magic... then what is it?' he said to himself.

On the other hand, he saw Meika smiling. What was behind that smile? Proud? Or happy because he got a slave?

Then, there were words from Meika "Welcome, to this unknown world. And also, welcome to the Knight Kingdom, Veda."
