1 TSCJTTM CH1 Waking Up in Skill God's Inheritance Site

"Ouch!!" Rudra said as he held his head while he got up with a jerk, "That hurts like hell!!! I seem to have a hell of a hangover."

As he massaged his head to relieve the pain, he looked at his surroundings through his scrunched up eyes. His eyes opened wide however when he saw that he was siting on top of a giant floating stone disk in the midst of a void space.

"Where am I?" Rudra wondered.

Suddenly he noticed that on the upper right corner of his vision, he could see a small faint glowing ripple of light. This evoked a familiar feeling in him, as it was similar to beta-version of a certain VR game he had been testing. The game was called Skill Creator and it was a pretty unique sort of game.

Unlike the other games he had played, this game didn't have the concept of leveling up. In this game players had the power to create skills using skill points. They would gain more skill points by repeatedly using the skills in appropriate situations. The acquired skill points could then be used to create more skills.

Unlike regular games, the stats of the players in this games could be increased in only other ways instead of leveling up: training on their own, consuming certain resources that increase stats, and most importantly by creating stat related skills. This feature made this game more challenging, as the success of the player depended on his planning and imagination.

Rudra was the best beta tester among all those who applied as a tester for this game. Last he remembered, he had been celebrating on his own for reaching the No. 1 Player Ranking by drinking the most expensive bottle of alcohol that he could afford. Then all had gone blank and he had awoken in this weird place with this glowing ripple of light in his vision.

To see if it was truly similar to the game's feature, Rudra tried to touch and drag the ripple down with his index finger, as if operating a touchscreen. To his surprise, he really got drop down menu similar to what he experienced in the game, only it felt more real and life-like.

There were the same few options available in the drop down menu similar to what he remembered from the game: Status, Skills, Inventory, and System Notifications. Only the Logout Tab was missing in the drop down menu. Also, he could no longer see his Health, Mana, and Stamina bars in the upper left corner of his vision, which should have popped up upon opening the drop down menu.

Suddenly, he noticed that the System Notification tab was blinking. He clicked on the tab by gesturing in the air with his index finger.

[Welcome Player]

[Congratulations on becoming the Successor of the Skill God by achieving the No. 1 Player Ranking in the Skill Creator VR Game. The game was designed by the Skill God to choose an inheritor who could best adapt to his power.]

[The menu you see before you is a manifestation of your nascent ability as a potential Skill God. It was designed as such to help you completely inherit the power of the Skill God through the game like menu you are familiar with.]

[The place you are in currently is the Divine Domain of Skill God and also the place where you will inherit the power of the Skill God. To completely inherit the power and progress on your path as a Skill God, you will be sent on missions designed by the Skill God to various parallel worlds in the multiverse.]

[This is so that you can get used to using the power of the skill to the best possible extent, which is obviously the power to create myriad types of skills.]

[Succeeding in the missions given to you will reward you with unique items and skills only found in the worlds you will visit for the mission, along with a large amount of skill points.]

[Good Luck Inheritor. May you become the Strongest Skill God ever.]

[P.S. - As soon as you finish reading this System Notification that introduces you to your current situation, you will undergo a full body reconstruction to give you the body worthy of the Skill God.]

Immediately after he finished reading it, Rudra felt tremendous unbearable pain, as if every molecule of his body was being torn apart into its constituting atoms and then being rearranged into something new. The pain was so unbearable that Rudra felt his mind slipping into unconsciousness before being violently summoned back.

When he was finally freed from the pain, he found that his body felt very different. First of all, there was a sense of freedom in his body that he never felt before. It was like his body could do anything he wanted now.

Secondly, on examining his hands and feeling his face, he felt like he had regressed in age. Previously he was around 27 years old, but now he felt that his body was barely around 13-14 years old in appearance.

'Hmm, there are not any reflective surfaces around here so I cant check my appearance.' Rudra thought.

Suddenly, his eyes lit up as an idea came to his head. "This is the perfect opportunity to check my skill creation powers!!", Rudra exclaimed.

Opening the menu, he went to the Skills tab. The tab was divided into three panels: Creation, Acquired, and Saved.

Creation panel was the one where he could create skills. He just had to imagine the function of the skill and give it a name. The system would determine the skill points needed for the skill he just imagined. The number of skill points he currently had were also displayed in this panel.

Acquired panel was where all the skills he had already bought with the skill points were displayed. Meanwhile, Saved panel was where he could save the templates of the skills that he imagined and defined but didn't have enough skill points to buy them.

Currently Rudra noticed that he had 1000 free skill points. It should be enough for a few early skills based on Rudra's experiences with skill creation in the game.

"Skill Creation.." Rudra called out as he thought about what he wanted, ".. Void Mirror." Immediately, the skill he imagined started getting formed in the Creation Panel.

[Void Mirror]

[Creates a mirror of the size imagined by the user from void energies. The mirror can reflect all energy based attacks back to the caster. Attack that needs to be reflected can't be more than three times as strong as the void mirror made by the user.]

[Skill points needed: 1,000,000]

'Shoot, my mind slipped and I thought about my strongest skill in the game..' Rudra mentally scolded himself, "Well, I guess I will save it for now."

After saving the void mirror skill, he started creating another skill. This time the result was as he expected.

[Ephemeral Mirror]

[A temporary reflective surface of no substance creating in front of user. Can be used to reflect, refract or converge the light rays it is in contact with as the user desires. The amount of time the mirror can be maintained depends on the mental energy of the user.]

[Skill points needed: 300]

'Yes that is perfect.' Rudra thought as he acquired the skill using Skill points he had. He was left with balance of 700 skill points.

"Ephemeral Mirror!!" Rudra used the skill. Immediately, the space in front of him rippled and a mirror formed out of nowhere that reflected Rudra's current appearance. Rudra was pleasantly surprised on seeing what he looked like at the moment.

His silvery white hair fell on both sides of delicate yet attractive face in soft waves. His fair skin showed up in contrast to his almost glowing eyes with red pupils that had very faint rune like markings. He was fairly tall, with a slender yet muscular body that hid a lot of power within it.

Rudra was very pleased with his new evolved body. He had gone from handsome to being someone who can make ladies swoon with a gaze. He felt like one of the K-Pop artists of his previous world.

Just at that moment, the System Notification tab of his menu started blinking again. He was distracted by it and his Ephemeral Mirror faded. As he clicked on the tab, he was greeted by the first mission system issued for him.

[Main World Quest]

[Surviving in a Cursed World]

[Go to the World of Jujutsu Kaisen, join the Jujutsu Sorcerer Academy and survive until you become strong enough to be comparable to a Semi-Grad 1 Sorcerer.]

[Time Limit: None]

[Rewards: Random Innate Cursed Technique, Random Cursed Weapon]

'World of Jujutsu Kaisen, huh. Should be entertaining enough and a good place to get familiar with fighting and danger. Lets go.' Rudra thought.

The next moment, the stone disk he had been standing on all this while started to glow and Rudra was teleported to the World of Jujutsu Kaisen.
