157 Liking Archer

The ride back to the mansion was eerily quiet. 

Elvina wanted to initiate the conversation with Archer but looking at his current expressions, she did not know what to say. The way she acted earlier was strange. To him, it must have looked like someone was coming after Gold's life. 

So, if she initiated the conversation, the only reasonable thing to say will be the truth. 

A truth that might take their relationship back to square one. 

And the other option would be to lie. But she did not want to lie to Archer. He did not deserve it. 

So, the third way left was to… 

Elvina peeked at him, ''Why did you bring that for me? Pink flowers… pink chocolates…'' she asked him, glancing at the bouquet in the backseat of the car. She was genuinely curious about that. Did he think that she would prefer pink stuff? 

Archer turned to look at her.
