126 Guard me while I pee

After Elvina left the room, Noah and Lily were left alone with each other. 

Lily fidgeted on the hospital bed. Her brother did not come inside to meet her. But then, what right did she have to feel sad about it? 

She wanted the same in the first place, didn't see? 

She has disappointed him so many times that she had no face left to see him. 

Maybe that was for the best. 

She wanted to stay away from everyone. She wanted to go back to her apartment and bury herself in her work inside her little cave. 

No one would be there to make her feel miserable about herself and she would not have to be worried about her insecurities being projected to the world. 

''How is Maven?" She shifted her attention to the man who was standing there with a frigid expression on his face. 

Noah was always like this. At times, his face made her wonder whether he hated her but she had nothing against him then why would he hate her?
