The Strong Rule The Weak.

As Greyson hobbled over to the office, he thought about how he got in this situation. He knew he didn't deserve the beating, but there was nothing he could do about it. As he kept walking, he thought about the past and the reason why he was constantly being bullied.

When blessings first appeared in the year 2022, people were terrified and called those with blessings monsters. It did not last very long when "The Gates" started to appear. At first, they were harmless and simply just stood in place. After a month of government agencies studying them all over the world, something came out. Creatures of many different shapes and sizes started to slaughter everyone in their path.

Some of the smaller creatures could be killed off with bullets and explosives, but most of them kept coming and killed about 60% of the world's population.

Then, the people with blessings started to use their abilities and killed the hordes of monsters that came through the gates. After a few years of rebuilding, some gates started to return. It was decided that people should start to enter the gates and had people with Blessings explore them. They found that as soon as some one or a group of people entered a gate, they would not be able to leave. However, if the group is able to kill all of the monsters that are in the gate, another gate will appear which let them go home. This would have to be cleared at least once a month or else the dungeon would "break" at let loose hundreds of monsters all at once.

In 2040, some scientists created a device that would allow them to measure how dangerous a certain portal was. They were graded from F-S, F-rank being the weakest and the strongest would be S-rank.

As time went on, people with blessings became the top of the food chain. They had the most influence wherever they were went, of course, that was if they had a high rank. The same applies to people with blessings. When they first receive a blessing, they would be ranked with a letter from F,D,C,B,A, and S. As time goes on, they can increase their ranks by killing beasts and practicing their blessing. The way the world now worked was if you did not receive a blessing or had a low rank, you were seen as trash, in some cases, not even seen as person anymore.

Now, Greyson could only pray that he got something better than an F rank blessing. Hell, he just hoped he would even receive one. By time he was done thinking about what has happened to get where he was, he had reached the doctor's office.
