Unexpected Turn of Events #2

Hearts were beating, so loudly that their neighbours could hear them, sweat-drenched faces and wide horrified eyes looked at the beast that was in front of them. These men were men of the human King of Xodale, although they were not of the highest standing in the kingdom they were still respected and feared for their combat skills and acquired soul weapon, but only the leader of this group of guards had succeeded in forming a contract with one, and this was the man frozen by the bloodlust emitted from the beast that was level 5 or over

Yet once they came one-on-one with the horrifying aura of bloodlust and the beast that brought death into the air their shock overcame their fear because in front of them was not a 10-metre giant beast, that came from the most dangerous place to ever exist, but a beast that was commonly and easily defeated by the average ranked warrior except this one seemed... different

The leader of the group of men had in fact seen this creature before as a child. It was the day of his coming of age and his father had taken him to hunt for the feast that marks the acceptance of the child into the warrior society. He had seen his father take down a creature of the same kind as this one in front of him as easily as defeating a human with no soul power, so his impression of six-tailed-beast was very low

Yet when he looked into the deep glowing red eyes of the beast in front of him, when he saw the orange fur it was supposed to have slowly turned the same colour as its eyes giving it a more ferocious look and when he saw its teeth sticking out of its pulled up lips like a mammoths tusks he couldn't help but be confused. When he was a child he had seen and had been up close and personal with one of these creatures and he was confident in his memory. The one that his father had taken down did not look anything like this

It was like it... mutated from someone's nightmares, made to kill and only kill

Back behind the protection wall of guards, where the non- combat humans of the group, a child with large eyes and even larger rimmed glasses was sitting on his legs as they were bent in an uncomfortable looking manner, but the boy did not seem to be bothered or focused on anything around him, his eyes were glued to the 11' inches tall, red-eyed, red-furred tailed fox

"Sir... what, what is happening?" the guard beside the now confused looking leader asked "why does this six-tailed look like this? what are your orders" the guard was panicking, he volunteered for this only because he had been entrusted with the safety of the young master by his father, and he owed the lord much more than he could give but giving his life was not on the list

The creature had gotten to their location but to everyone's relief it did not seem to notice their presence, it's domineering eyes were focused on a fixed direction and if one looked close enough you could see the determination in its bloodthirsty eyes but the silence was broken and the men drew in their breaths because behind the wall of guards came the sweet voice of a child and this voice to everyone's horror made the beast that was just about to walk past them stop in its tracks, and it's sharp eyes focused on them without moving its head

This motion added to the horrifying atmosphere and those who couldn't handle the pressure anymore did not care about their honour anymore, those protecting the unconscious non-combatants ran in the opposite direction as the creatures gaze with there tails tucked between their legs

What had made the determined beast stop in its mission was not the voice of the child, but the words said by the child because inside the mind of the Six-Tailed-Fox was non-other than Lee.
