4 Working For The Lord
"Bzzzzzzz zzzzz viiiinggg"
"Fucking mosquitos! I try to take a nap and you guys try to suck my blood, go suck the blood of the horse!" unfortunately for Kentaro he hasn't succeeded in taking a nap.
The second his eyes closed, the mosquitos began their assault. The ears, the arms, everywhere. They truly had no pity.
"Anyways stupid mosquitos, I'm out." standing up, Kentaro left the cave. He jumped five meters down like the true God of Shinobi he was, nearly breaking his ankles.
"Yo! Where is he?!" the horse was nowhere to be see, he had vanished. The sounds of clapping and screaming could be heard. Those were not human sounds, such horrible sounds could only be heard in nightmares.
Taking his katana and preparing to fight the monster ahead, Kentaro slowly walked towards the sound.
His heart was beating like crazy. What if it was a tailed beast? He would be so fucking dead!
Hiding behind a tree while sweating exceedingly, Kentaro took his courage with two hands and peeped towards the sound.
He saw a towering four legged monster, with his nostrils wide open, breathing like it was out of breath. It was pounding into the skinny horse.
Returning behind the tree, Kentaro did not know how to react. Why was another horse fucking the skinny horse? Wasn't the skinny horse a male?
Kentaro ran to the duo of horses. "WAYAYAYAAYAYYA AAAAAA" he began screaming and moving his arms to scare of the bigger horse, which in he succeeded.
The horse began running from fright. But the skinny horse had trembling legs, it couldn't even walk properly.
"Damn, you just got fucked in the ass bro, don't worry when you grow up, you'll forget."
Comforting the horse was the only thing he could do now. Even if it had some difficulty walking, they had to go meet the lord today.
Kentaro waited for thirty minutes that's the most time he could give to the horse to recover a little bit. When thirty minutes passed they resumed the travel.
For the first time, he saw something else than grass, there was a stone road. Kentaro checked on the map and apparently if he followed this stone road, he would arrive at his destination much quicker.
After following it for ten minutes, he could distinguish a castle town. "This is it"
They advanced until they were in front of the gate.
"I heard that your lord is looking for mercenaries, I came here to meet him and work under him if the payement is satisfying enough!"
The gate opened and ten shinobi were visibly waiting for Kentaro to enter. Entering without the horse, Kentaro began looking for the document in his clothes.
"Do not put your hands in your clothes. Also, remove your straw hat. Your face must be visible for us to identify."
The shinobi made things very clear to Kentaro. He did what he was asked, he stopped looking for the document and removed his straw hat.
"What is your name? why is your face scarred? Why do you want to work for our lord Tenzo Kusa?"
Kentaro understood all the questioning, they had to make sure that he was no enemy.
"My name is Kentaro Fujimoto, my face was scarred during a battle, I would want to work for the lord Kusa to earn a living."
"Fujimoto? So you are a son of earth. You are not older than twenty but your body is strong and you have experience in battle. Lord Kusa would surely want to have someone like you in his ranks.
If you have come here, then that means that you have received the document. Show it to me and I will escort you to the lord."
Getting a hand on the document, Kentaro gave it quickly to the Shinobi.
"Follow me." following the guard, Kentaro noticed a logo on the back of the guard, it was grass. Ressembling to the one in the show.
Also, he talked about some son of earth? And he talked as if he knew about the Fujimoto clan. Kentaro had picked Fujimoto because it sounded cool with his name.
They arrived at a manor guarded by other shinobi. It had three floors, every floor was packed with shinobi. On the third floor there was not one shinobi.
Knocking on the door, the shinobi opened it and bowed. seeing this, Kentaro bowed too without hesitation. Now was the time to give himself a good image.
"Enter" entering the room, Kentaro dared not look at the lord, what if he did and they killed him! It was better not to try.
"Sit down, and sip on the tea" this voice very calm and old, but it exuded authority.
Sitting down on the ground and taking the cup of tea, Kentaro did not drink before seeing the lord drink. Looking at the arms of the lord, Kentaro would know when he would drink. So he patiently waited.
"Why don't you sip on the tea, do you perhaps think it is poisened?"
"I dare not have those thoughts, my lord. I only wait for you to drink first, before drinking myself as it would be disrespectful for me to drink first." shit, Kentaro was at the brink of pissing his pants.
"You can lift your head, I give you the permission to sip on the tea. Tell me, what is your name?"
Lifting his head, Kentaro noticed that they were in the center of the room. Looking at the lord, he saw an old man with a fiery gaze. In no way did he look weak.
"My name is Kentaro Fujimoto, my lord. I came here to work under you."
"Why would a member of the reputable Fujimoto clan, come and work under my Kusa clan?"
Kentaro did not know what to say at this moment, if had known that the Fujimoto clan was real, he would have not picked the name.
"I..... I am in search of a challenge. To fight shinobi from other clans and not only the ones my clan fights against."
Lord Kusa sipped on his tea, this made Kentaro tense. In the animes he saw, the old ones would sip on their tea before destroying the shit out of the ones who didn't give them a satisfying answer.
Putting his tea down and looking straight in the eyes of Kentaro. Lord Kusa finally gave his verdict.
"Then you are at the right place. You shall be paid from your performance on the battlefield and from the missions that you accomplish.
You can take your leave now"
Kentaro thanked lord Kusa and left the room, now it was time to earn some prestige in the Kusa clan.
"Now that this is taken care of, let's see what the future holds."
