141 The War For Dominance Begins!

The village was not as lively as usual, everything was quiet. The streets were crowded by fully equipped men and women.

The ten thousand shinobi had prepared themselves to die and spill their blood for their loved ones, their land and their beloved Iwa.

Kentaro's office was very quiet, three men were standing in front of him. Kentaro held a piece of paper in his hands.

"Wanda Fujimoto, you are the captain of the destruction battalion. Five hundred shinobi with destructive Kekkei Genkai will be under your lead." Wanda was proud to be given such responsibilities.

"Yukaren, the one and only Iwa-nins representative. We are well aware of your impressive sensing abilities. That is why you have been chosen as captain of the sensing battalion who regroups one thousand five hundred sensing shinobi." Yukaren nodded.

"Mū, you are given the lead of the greatest battalion. Eight thousand shinobi will follow your every word and order. Make sure to always be in touch with the sensing battalion to receive intel about enemy positions." Mū gave a very confident nod.

Kentaro's heart was strangely beating faster than usual. He wasn't going to take part in the war, he was going to give orders from the village to the battalions.

Kentaro stood up and opened the door that led to his balcony, he walked until everyone could see him. The three battalion captains followed behind him.

The ten thousand shinobi cheered after seeing Kentaro and the others on the balcony, Kentaro lifted his hand and motioned them to quieten down.

"Five years ago, we were constructing our beloved Iwagakure, together! It took us two whole years to build our beautiful village and we benefitted of three years of peace! As we speak, Konoha's army is advancing through the Land of Grass. They want to trample upon us, to destroy what we have achieved up until now! My children, today we have taken our weapons and are ready to defend what is ours! Konoha will never forget about this war, for generations to come, they will forever remember the consequences of acting against Iwa!" Kentaro gave it his all for this speech.

"AAAAAHHHH!" the roars of the ten thousand shinobi resounded in the air, this gave Kentaro chills.

"Give it your all! Die as heroes! Come back as heroes! No matter what happens, you will all be the heroes of Iwagakure!" Kentaro nodded to Mū. Mū flew down and led all the shinobi who wore the standard black forhead protectors.

Wanda and Yukaren jumped down and each led their respective battalion. The destruction battalion wore red forehead protectors and the sensing battalion wore light-blue ones.

They all exited the village via the tunnel in the mountain, Kentaro had a very frustrated look on his face.

"How I wished to fight besides all of you, but I must stay here." Kentaro had to stay in the village, he had many responsibilities.

He had to stay in the command room all day long and take care of everything from far away. He had to also protect the village while half of the village's forces were away.

"So, have you found four Jonin capable enough of integrating the Assassination Group?" An Anbu appeared behind Kentaro.

"Lord Tsuchikage, because of the current situation, no one has presented himself to the selections." Kentaro wasn't surprised by this, he nodded and left his office.

The people in the command room were waiting for him in the room where Iwa's Great Council takes place. Kentaro opened the door, the three Anbu leaders were already sitting there.

"Gentlemen, I was encouraging our forces before they left, Hence why I'm late. Report?" Zarachi, the leader of the Assassination Group took a piece of paper and read it out loud.

"A force equivalent to our main force has been deployed by Konoha in The Land of Grass. The shinobi of Kusa have publicly announced their support for Konoha and are ready to impede our army in their advance." Kentaro did expect Kusa to go against them.

"All those who try to impede our army are to be killed, may they be shinobi or civilian. They must die if they get in our path, write that down." Zarachi wrote it down on a scroll.

"The forces near The Land of Wind have spotted Suna shinobi, but nothing to be worried about. Our one thousand men can easily overpower them if needed." Kentaro didn't think highly of Suna at all, he didn't worry for the situation there.

"We also received word from the Raikage. Him together with his army have already gone through The Land of Frost without problems. They are in The Land of Hot Water right now." everything sounded good until now for Kentaro.

Kentaro took his hat off and placed it on the table, he looked at the map they had laying in the center of the table.

"Send the scroll to Mū, we must wait until the Sensing Battalion settles. Only then will we be able to plan further operations." Kentaro quitely sat down and drank some tea to calm his mind.

'We are entering The Land of Grass, I can't sense any shinobi for now.' Mū was flying above the running ten thousand shinobi.

He was making sure to sense enemies who may be concealed and prepare a sneak attack to hurt the army before anything really started.

"Mū! We'll be stopping here! We've been ordered to lay a camp here!" Wanda was yelling loud enough for Mū to hear him.

The Demolition Battalion stopped running and looked at the others running until they were far away. They created a camp made out of stone.

"Split!" hearing Yakuren's order, the Sensing Battalion split into two even groups. One went left and the other right, this would able the Sensing Battalion to have a better grasp over the whole Land of Grass.

The main army had fully deployed itself. Further in the grassfields and the mushroom forests, the army of Konoha was waiting for them. The battles would be bloody and cruel.

The war for dominance had begun!
