Sacrifice Is A Shinobi's Duty

The Hyuga's encampment was in fire, pieces of wood flew all over the place from the explosion. The Chinoike looked at the scene from far away, where they were concealed.

Gedo was looking at the large fire with a smile, he was certain that the Hyuga would be too busy extinguishing the fire and won't go after him.

He turned around and made a run for it, his fellow clansmen were two hundred meters away. The sound of cables resounded, Gedo's feet activated a trap that the Hyuga had placed.

Many Kunai came out of the ground, a cable was placed through the little hole of the kunai. Papers bombs were hanging all over the cable, Gedo's eye widened when he saw the glint of light emanating from each paper bomb.

"BOOM!" one by one they exploded successively, the Chinoike looked at Gedo disappearing behind the explosions and the smoke produced by them.

"We must help the clan head, the Hyuga might attack him now that their trap has activated." One of the Chinoike stood up and was ready to go help Gedo.

"Stay here!" Iguro, the oldest of the clan, pulled the Chinoike back to the ground.

"We haven't received such orders. The clan head asked us to stay here no matter what and we will stay here until he says otherwise." the Chinoike didn't agree with Iguro, he looked at him in anger.

"I know how you feel, I also want to go help him. But it is an order and an order is absolute, it's the way of Iwa." Iguro turned his head and looked at the dissipating smoke with a conflicted look.

Gedo was lying on the ground, he held his bloody left ankle in pain. His armor had protected him from many sharp kunai pieces that had flew his way from the explosion.

"AAHHH! FUCK!" Gedo looked at his ankle, he covered his eyes in shock. He quickly removed his hands from his eyes and pulled the burning kunai out of his ankle.

'That kunai's iron is burning! It's surely because of the explosion.' Gedo threw the kunai at the side and looked around while still being on the ground.

He saw the Hyuga's encampment crumbling down, but there was no one who screamed or tried to get out. Gedo didn't understand, he had seen people sleeping on the ground before he threw the bag.

"Surround him!" from the many trees that were around the encampment, a good two hundred men came out of the shadows. The Hyuga surrounded Gedo.

"You had to check if the people you saw were real people. You got fooled like a kid, those human looking figures were made out of hay." Gedo's heart skipped a beat, he had failed to properly identify the enemy inside of the encampment.

"I see, so you're going to kill me now? If so, I won't make things easy for you." Gedo struggled to stand up because of his wounded ankle, the Hyuga got closer to him.

Gedo took his kunai and cut his wrist, blood flowed out of his seveared vein and his eyes became blood red. Like this, the Hyuga discovered that Gedo was a Chinoike.

"I WILL NOT GO DOWN EASILY!" the blood hardened and took the form of blood shurikens, they howled at the many Hyuga in front of Gedo.

"We are Hyuga, that little trick won't work against the power of our eyes." the Hyuga stood in fighting stance and looked at the blood shurikens getting closer.

'Eight Tigram Palms Heavenly Spin!' the Hyuga spinned around and created a blue vortex that completely shattered the blood kunai to pieces. When done, the Hyuga stopped spinning.

Gedo joined his hands together. Immediately after, the chattered pieces of the blood kunais went straight at the Hyuga and successfully struck him.

"I told you that I won't go do-" four kunais coming from the left pierced Gedo's left arm and ribs. Gedo straightened himself and manipulated the sharp pieces of blood who had pierced the Hyuga.

"Sons of bitches! I'm gonna get y'all!" Gedo infused his chakra into the Hyuga via the sharp pieces of blood, the Hyuga started swelling.

"What is happening to Hiroshi!? Let's kill the bastard, it'll maybe stop Hiroshi from swelling!" tens of Hyuga charged at Gedo, he couldn't defend himself from them, he had to hold the hand seal for the other to keep swelling.

"Splash!" the sound of tens of katana entering his body and cutting his flesh and internal organs resounded. Blood came out of Gedo's mouth, he spat on the Hyuga's who had stabbed him.

"I'll deal with you after I've dealt with him!" Gedo knew that he was going to die, he wanted to damage them as much as he could before giving out his last breath.

"BOOOOM!" the Hyuga who was swelling exploded, the nearby Hyuga were teared to pieces, chunks of flesh and a rain of blood fell from the air.

"Now it's your turn!" the ten Hyuga let go of their katanas and took a few steps back. Seconds later, the blood that Gedo had spat on their faces hardened. It suddenly grew to become long sharp spikes who pierced their skull, instantly killing the ten of them.

"RUUUUUUUN! RUN! DON'T LOOK AT ME!" Gedo yelled like a madman, the Hyuga thought that he was talking to them. The two hundred Chinoike who were concealed far away listened to their clan leader's last words, they ran as far as possible.

More Hyuga ran at Gedo and stabbed him with their katanas, his vision got blurry. His life was slowly fading away from his body, he had planned to use a last attack before dying.

"AAAAAHHHH!" He roared, as if he was encouraging himself to do something. His body started swelling just like the Hyuga earlier.

"He's gonna blow himself up! Try to stab him more, maybe that'll prevent him from swelling!" Gedo got stabbed a few times more, the Hyuga stopped when they saw that it didn't work.

'I'm scared....but I can't disappoint Lord Tsuchikage!' Gedo's sorrowful and teary eyes turned to determined and enraged ones.

"BOOOOOOOOM!" Gedo exploded together with many Hyuga, the mission was a success. Only that his sacrifice was needed for it, but it was something common in the world of shinobi.

Because sacrifice was a shinobi's duty.
