25 Accepting The Offer

They followed the seven shinobi for a few kilometers now.

The landscape was beautiful, it was sunny and full of grass and flowers. Sometimes they would fall upon large waterfalls.

"It's here."

Kakuzu pointed his finger towards a fairly big waterfall. The water of the waterfall fell in a large pond, in the center of the pond was a big rock.

Kakuzu went to the big rock and placed his hands on it, the rock moved to the left and a passage was revealed.

"Jump down."

After having said this, he jumped down the passage.

The six others did the same, one by one they jumped down.

Kentaro looked down the passage, it was dark and looked like it would never end.

Kentaro jumped down, at first he fell pretty fast but when he saw the end of the passage his fall was slowed down and he landed softly.

They looked at the passage, waiting for Hatsu but there was no sign of her.

Kentaro put his head in the passage hole.

"Hatsu, jump, we are waiting for you!"

Seconds later, they heard Hatsu's piercing scream, Kentaro had to put his fingers in his ears.

"aaaaaaahhhhhhh!"

Kakuzu and his brethren found it pretty funny, it has been a long time since they heard someone been scared of jumping down the path.

Her fall was slowed down by one of the Shinobi, he used wind style to do it.

She landed very softly, she had a traumatized expression.

"Let's go, the clan leader will be extremely happy."

They had landed in a sort of maze with countless routes and passages. If one was not a member of the clan, it would be impossible to find the good way.

"All those passages are filled with traps and the passage that leads to my clan has sorts of requirements to pass, I will show you."

They took a specific passage and Kakuzu formed various hand seals in weird orders.

The passage who was hindered by a purple mist was lifted.

"What was that mist, Kakuzu." asked Hatsu.

"This is a poisonous mist made by our clan, the hand seals I formed permits me to lift the mist."

Hatsu found it impressive, she too wanted to learn such things.

They passed through countless passages and in every one of them Kakuzu had deactivate the traps.

They arrived at large place in the cave, there was a very big rock. Kakuzu used his earth style to move it underground.

The big rock went under the ground. Behind it was a little village, this place was so well hidden that it would be close to impossible to find them.

"This is our village, let's go to the clan leader."

The village was not dark, a lot of fires were placed to lighten the village.

Kakuzu and the six other shinobi led them to the biggest house of the village. They knocked and entered.

"Clan leader, we have found an incredible shinobi. He was capable of standing his ground against Madara Uchiha."

A man was sitting on a big wooden chair, he was very impressed by what he had heard.

"Where is he?"

Kentaro entered the house and saw a middle aged man with short gray hair sitting on a chair.

"I am the one."

The man looked at Kentaro, he had not expected to see such a young shinobi.

"I have heard that you are in search of a powerful shinobi. Well, here I am."

The middle aged man stood up and kneeled in front of Kentaro.

"I am Yosuke Yamada, leader of the Yamada clan. I beg of you, help us, we need your help."

Kentaro wasn't prepared to see Yosuke kneel before him, it made him feel awkward.

"Yosuke, please stand up. My name is Kentaro Fujimoto, I am the heir of the Fujimoto clan. In my way to this land I have stumbled upon your men and I have been told about your request.

Let me ask you this question, why do you need my help exactly?"

Lord Yamada stood up, he didn't mind Kentaro calling him by his name and explained the situation.

"We have been fighting against the Yochida clan and its allies for years now. The last two years, the clans who were against them have become subservient to them.

This didn't stop us from continuing our fight, we know how to win the war, what we need is a shinobi strong enough to hold the numerous clan leaders by himself. And from what I hear, you, Kentaro are what we need right now."

Holding numerous clan leaders by himself, Kentaro could do it. He had survived against Madara Uchiha even though felt like Madara didn't fight seriously.

"I will do it, but not freely. What can you offer me as a reward for my efforts?"

Lord Yamada looked at one of the clansmen and indicated something with his arms by moving them.

The clansmen ran out of the house and when he came back, he brought a sort of wooden vase.

"Kentaro, in this vase lase one of our ancestors most precious treasure, It is hero water. when a shinobi drinks it, he will get ten folds his Chakra for a short period of time. The only drawback is that it shortens one's lifespan."

Hero water, Kentaro had seen it in the anime. He didn't need it but bringing it to the Fujimoto clan could be good.

"Very good, I will help you and your clan in its war against the Yochida and their allies. Tell me, when do we begin the attack?"

Everybody was happy hearing that Kentaro had agreed to help. Lord Yamada answered him quickly.

"With you here now, the missing piece of the puzzle has been found. Everything is ready, tomorrow we attack!"

Kentaro nodded his head, Hatsu was a little bit worried on her side.

"Follow me, mister. I will show you where you'll be sleeping with your wife tonight."

'My wife?' Kentaro found it funny.

As for Hatsu, she was blushing and got red like a tomato.

They followed Kakuzu to a house. It was spacious inside, there was a bed, a table and everything needed.

They placed all the bags on the ground and made themselves home.
