72. Stolen Shadow
Jon, Franky and Robin go back to the ship and find Luffy, Zoro and Sanji lay unconscious there. They met Chopper, and Usopp on the way and even Brook. Then they realize the three boys didn't have shadows.
"It seem their shadow get stolen by Moria."-Jon
"Is that why they're unconscious?"-Usopp
"Maybe, also where's Nami?"-Jon
"She got separated from us, but i think she's fine. The one that chase her didn't want to hurt her."-Usopp
"Huh? Why are you so sure?"-Jon
"It seem he want to make Nami his bride."-Usopp
"HUUUHH? Can he afford her need of money?"-Jon
"THAT'S NOT THE POINT!"-Franky hit Jon's head
"I'm just kidding, you don't need to hit me. Anyway, Nami is smart, she will find a way out, but we need to be fast, and wake them too"-Jon
Franky try to hit their head so they wake up, but it's not working. Usopp has an idea but Jon stop him. The other confused but Jon just take out some marker and distribute it to them. They all understand it and smile evilly while giggling. After that, Usopp try his idea to wake them up.
"A PRETTY LADY SWORDMAN JUST ARRIVED WITH TONS OF MEATS."-Usopp
"Swordman?"-Zoro
"Pretty lady?"-Sanji
"Meats?"-Luffy
The three of them wake up instantly hearing their favourite words. This make the crew dumbfounded, but then they laugh loudly. The trio seem confused and they look at each other to ask. But then they also laugh when seeing the other's face. Then they realize that they all have those funny drawing.
"Alright, stop! We need to be serious now, the situation is rather bad because you three lose your shadow. We can't get out from this place without getting your shadow back first. But first, i have,..pfftt, hahahah"-Jon
"JON, YOU, STOP LAUGHING AND FINISH YOUR SENTENCE!"-Sanji
Jon try to have serious talk, but seeing their face is really funny. Finally after he calm himself, he tell them the informations he got.
"Alright, so currently, Moria have 3 living subordinates, not zombies, or we can call them general. They're Dr. Hogback that made those zombies from corpses, Absalom the invisible man, and Perona the one that control those ghost. He also have more than 1000 zombies. It also seem that he have a very big zombie made from an Oars body."-Jon
"Oars?"-Chopper
"It's like giant but it's even bigger that them and have horns and fang. Basically if giants are like big humans, then oars are like big orcs."-Jon
Jon then tell them about the three generals power and Sanji seem to be furious hearing Absalom's power and hearing him peek Nami when bathing. He got 'burnt' with jealousy, and he actually got burnt, literally. He want to rush off, but Jon stop him to hear the other explanatiom first or he will just go aimlessly.
Jon then told them that the zombies weakness is salt. He take out all the salt he got from the castle and told them to divide it. Brook seem surprised as he too know about this weakness and just about to tell them.
While they divide the salt, Brook also start to tell them that he's actually a pirate from 50 years ago. He have a friend that he need to meet to fulfill his promise, that's why he need to take his shadow back. Then they all finished dividing their salt and even use their own salt supply, just in case. They want to leave but Jon, Franky, and Usopp stop them.
"WAIT!"-Franky
"What is it now?"-Zoro
"Hehehe, Franky, Usopp and i have made this specially for you all."-Jon
Jon then take out their new seastone coated equipment. He give Sanji the shoes, and Zoro the gloves, all have seastone coating. For the devil fruit user, they have specially made seastone glove. It has thick and stretchable material and just use small seastone ornaments in some place instead of all the surface like Zoro. It's to avoid them touching it themselves.
Franky also have coated his hidden right fist with some seastone. Usopp has made a seastone coated handle for his slingshot. Jon has made a sword length staff from pure seastone.
"Salt is effective for zombies, but maybe seastone too, so try them. But the seastone is definitely effective for those ability user. Just be carefull with them, they're vary rare and valuable. I will kill you if you lost them."-Jon
Jon said the last part with threatening voice and scary face. They all immediately agree bacause they know Nami will support Jon in this case. So they will definitely get beaten up if Nami know they lost it.
They all move to the castle and then decide to separate. Zoro and Franky will help Brook while the other will find Moria and his subordinates. Zoro and co take lower bridge while Jon & co take upper bridge.
But then suddenly Oars fall from the sky and the upper bridge collapsed. Sanji and Usopp fall, Jon try to save them but he also fall. Jon ask Luffy to go on first, and they will catch up later.
Jon catch Usopp with his rope and landed safely, Sanji can land by himself. They meet with Zoro & co at the lower bridge, but they're concerned about how to passed the bridge. The Oars also stand up again and they are panicked because of it's sheer size, but it didn't realize them at all. It even take a rooftop and use it like a hat and say it will be the pirate king.
"O-oy, that thing say it want to be a pirate king. That's sound familiar right?"-Jon
"Yeah, it's Luffy's word"-Zoro
They're concerned and need to defeat Moria quickly. But then they see Franky build a new one already, surprising them. The quality is even better than the original. Now they can leave but Jon decide to not go with them.
"I will follow the Oars, Moria must have a way to control it properly. Maybe because it have Luffy's shadow just sometime ago, so it's not at full control. I need to find it's weakness first."-Jon
They all want to object because it's very risky to fight that thing alone. But they know Jon is right, leaving the Oars alone will be more risky. Before leaving, Jon remember something and call Usopp.
"Usopp!"-Jon
"Hmm?"-Usopp
"Give a man mask, and he will show his true self."-Jon
Jon just leave and everyone are confused, even Usopp himself. Jon then leave them and follow the Oars. He see it act like Luffy but in more idiotic way.
'It seem to possess Luffy's strong desire, but not his mind and memories. I need to find out how to get the shadow out. I'll try to throw salt to it's mouth first.'-Jon
Jon try to find a way to throw the salt inside the Oars mouth. He climb the castle and got at the mouth height, but the Oars go away instead.
"F*ck, why did he left. I already climb this high, dammit."-Jon
Jon then decide to follow Oars, but he ne3d to run while Oars just walking. The Oars climb a tall building with a very big wheel attached to it, and a big long chain.
'Is this the ship's rudder wheel or something at that line. What's this thing want to do? Shit, who cares, i need to put salt inside it's body and get the shadow out.'-Jon
Jon follow the Oars climbing but the Oars climb pretty fast because it's very tall. This thing is taller than giants, so the big rudder wheel is not that high for it.
"Shit, it arrived at the top already, while i just about to arrive in the middle."-Jon
Suddenly the oars pull the chains that connect to the wheel. It caused the ship to change course so suddenly and almost everyone there lost their balance. Luckily Jon manage to stick on the pillar that hold the wheel. But the Oars fall instead.
"Motherf*cker, now he go down while i'm up here. I will kill that thing myself."-Jon is in rage
Jon go down, running of course, not jumping, he can die if he jump this high. Then he chase the Oars that go to the forest and stop there. Jon didn't know what happen but it's his chance, but Jon still didn't have luck. The Oars suddenly turn back and run to the castle, passing by Jon.
"For f*ck sake, this thing just run everywhere he want like Luffy."-Jon
The Oars crashed to the castle and rampaging in many place. Jon see the castle, break in many places from far and hope his friends are fine. When he arrive there, his friends are all at the outside facing the Oars, except Luffy.
"Oh Jon, what happen? You seem tired already."-Zoro
"This thing just run around everywhere and can't stay in one place, like Luffy. I chase it around to put salt inside it's body but i can't even come close. This thing tired me out mentally instead of physically."-Jon
"Well, it's Luffy, what did you expect."-Usopp
"It seem Moria has got this thing under control and make it attack us."-Jon
"Then we need to beat this thing fast."-Zoro
Zoro attack the Oars and now he have three swords already. Jon didn't know where he got it but it's not important now. This thing need to be defeated because it's very powerful, and it has Luffy's shadow.
Zoro attack the Oars and the Oars seem to notice him, so he focused on Zoro. Jon move to the other side stealthily and climb the oars back. He climb pretty fast and reach the Oars hair. Now he need a good time to put the salt inside the Oars mouth.
'Wait, it didn't have to be from the mouth right?'-Jon
Jon see an open hole in Oars right upper chest. He immediately run there and go inside the Oars body. His friends seem to notice this but the Oars didn't, because it's too focused fighting the crew.
Jon got inside and it's so dark. He can't even see the hole where he come from earlier. Normally he should be able to see light come out from the hole. But he also can't hear anything here, even tough it should be noisy outside.
'Maybe the shadow is covering all parts inside it's body, so, light and sound can't come inside like an isolation.'-Jon
Jon then activate his sharingan and look around. But he's surprised that there is a wall beneath him. He look at it and see Moria is unside and Oars stomach is open like a curtain.
"What the heck, did he want to make it looks like a robot? Well, who cares, i will take out the shadow and it will be useless. It also seem that Moria didn't realize my presence here."-Jon
Just when Jon said that, he's suddenly being attacked by something. He look at it and it's a shadow with Moria's shape. Even if it's dark, he can see the outline pretty well. Then he heard Moria's voice.
"Shashashasha, did you think i can't feel something inside the shadow under my control? I don't know how you get in, but don't think of getting out."-Moria
"Heeh, and how will you do that?"-Jon
Suddenly Moria's real body appear behind his shadow and it bring a scissor.
"Teleportation? You can move to your shadow's place?"-Jon
"The shadow is me, and i am the shadow."-Moria
"So it's not teleportation, you become shadow and move in the shadows."-Jon
"Good observation, but it's still useless, you won't win."-Moria
Suddenly, Moria pull Jon's shadow, and Jon have bad feeling about this. So he try to attack Moria but Moria cut his shadow. Jon start to lose consciousness but he did his last struggle. He command the system to take out all the salt from inventory without the bags, and then he passed out.
