70 16. The Elven Kingdom

The small group of four soon ventured out into the forest, taking a path they've never gone down before. The two kids skipped ahead, clashing their sheathed swords together with soft giggles. Seiji smiled softly as he watched the two of them, feeling more at peace as they walked. After a while, he glanced over at Shaoqing, who was walking silently. He looked like he had something on his mind.

"What's wrong?" Seiji asked softly, causing Shaoqing to look up at him and shake his head.

"It's nothing," Shaoqing said with a sigh.

"You can tell me," Seiji told him, causing Shaoqing to nod and stare at the ground as they walked.

"I feel like I'm leading Yanjun on," Shaoqing said. "I never liked him the way he likes me, but he still acts like him and I might be something. Even though I've told him I liked someone else countless of times."
